sunjae was mowrdered on the OG timeline. he was depressed but he didnt k!ll himself. the taxi driver made a revenge on sunjae bc he witnessed and captured him when sj saved sol on the reservoir. if you watch ep 1 again, a man bumped into sol after the concert. same thing happened on ep 8. another hint on why sj didnt k!ll himself is that on sj pov during their OG meetup on han bridge , when sol said she is thankful that sj existed, he said "me too sol" . meeting sol again made him less sad. lastly, even on the novel, sj never did su1cid3, he has depression/insomnia and a flu at that time. he accidentally mixed up meds that chugu him. anyway. thank you for reviewing! the best kdrama who saved everyone from kdrama slump
No hate! I like your reaction! besides the opinion about you thinking she is a stalker because of how she behaved but from other people's perspective might be, however if you did not skipped some scenes you will know that how she acts is perfectly fine with him. Plus the way she gets excited seeing her childhood friends after 15 years, with her bubbly personality I think is normal. We do have different opinions though. It's just a shame you skipped as you mentioned small details and episodes but that small details explains a lot of things you did not understand. I suggest you rewatch. Just saying.. But overall good reaction!
it was only during college episodes and onwards of Lovely Runner I skipped Sol scenes because I was binging so I can watch the finale with the girlies :) i still stand by my opinions but not shaming anyone who has different opinions than me!
In the first back to the past time line, She lost her memory from the accident!! That’s why she doesn’t remember those high school days. Some people are so annoyed by Sol but sometimes you gotta put yourself in her shoes. lol she’s probably more confused than the audience.
Spoilers! *even if it's the first 10 minutes of ep 1* The hospital scene hooked me. I was cleaning my room, thinking it could be good background noise. Then I heard screaming and was wondering what the commotion was and I just had to rewind and Sunjae's words sent me into a breakdown. It was so comforting. The trauma was coping. 😅.
I relate to Im Sol. Because I can't remember my high school days. The faces, the names, the events, etc. I think Sol is the same, she have a trauma because of the accident. Thats why she cant remember most of her high school days.
1. The reason why Sun Jae died in 1st timeline has been explained in the episode 9. He was drugged by the taxi driver while he was having bad mental health due to depression, thus, he was unable to fight back like the 2nd timeline (this time he was stabbed instead as the culprit failed to drug him). As a result, he was pushed into the pool when he was in a coma. 2. Sol 34's soul has been living in the 4th timeline (this is when she came back and decided not to meet Sun Jae) until 2024 when they turn 35.
that’s crazy!! okay so that explains how she maintained such a good friendship with taesung because I know if she went back in the future, high school Sol would have jumped at trying to date him
The writer already clarified, Sol travelled back to 2024. She said she deliberately didn’t write that part in detail becos it’s not important really. But Sol did travel back to the present.
Also comments on the "who was this boy I was so effin love with" In the very first episode going to the concert they brush up that she doesnt recall his name and tried to. Her friend then replies he got expelled after her accident. And honestly after her accident would you care about an old crush? Like I remember confessing to a few of my crushes but dont exactly remember the day of. *Spoilers* Her memories were honestly weird at first. Most of the time it needs a trigger. Like i couldnt figure out at first the rules of the time travel memories (like memories she had after going back to the present but of the new timeline's past when organizing for Kim Tae Sung's birthday celeb or getting a shaman) like she had 2nd timeline's past memories but not the 3rd timeline's past (Her going to college, before the 2nd kidnapping attempt) while she was visiting the 3rd timeline's future (ep 8. Kiss) otherwise she would have realized she pushed away Sunjae because of the kidnapping. I get that she loses her memories during the trauma but telling her savior she cant see him because she is reminded of the trauma should have been remembered. And we only see it because Sunjae flashes back on it. She also doesnt have that many memories that they show in the 4th timeline's past (her college years) but they started showing future memories as if dejavu (the mural, the brick wall, the mountain), which if I remember correctly she never did in the past timelines. I guess they used it as a plot drive for her to solve the case on her own unless it's because she changed such a significant point of time (Sunjae having to choose to leave to the US in response to her current actions, not making it to the auditions with Baek In Hyuk and therefore not becoming a part of eclipse earlier forcing Baek In Hyuk to crack at the 2nd round and him needing to go back to his hometown. (But we see he couldve been a part of eclipse after their supposed last club show. So it might have been about the timing of his joining). By the end of ep13, I gave up figuring out the rules of the memories and decided it wasnt simple time travel but multiple universes haha and I just treated them as dejavu. If there are really parallel universes and we only get a few dejavu moments, a handful of possible memories and lifetimes our souls had to endure, we couldnt remember it all.
i think "dumbness" is a respectable character setup if it fits the purpose or flow of the story. It shouldn't be despised as just another K-drama trope.
Og sun jae didn't kill himself too, watch ep. 1 and then the og flash back on ep. 7 as well as how he got killed in 8. ..sol bumb pm the same all black guy in both concerts.

@@michellehsieh246 yeah, I really love the plot and highly appreciate the screenwriter for every detail she focused on ☺️
