For Lovely Runner, it is not just Netflix but any companies in Korea for not featuring their products in this drama. All of Lovely Runner's items have been a huge hit, especially the yellow umbrella and G-Shock watch. Even Kim Hye-yoon's perfume, which was accidentally mentioned on a radio broadcast, ran out of stock.

I don't know how TV business works, but I guess it looks at the revenue it can generate. What I have observed is (Netflix), they put a stellar cast who are very popular and have some steamy scenes, giving a damn on the storyline or acting. I don't know if they took the success of Crash Landing on you and Descendants of the Sun as a case study and are trying to use this formula to this day.

I kinda feel like the reason for the success of lovely runner was partly due to "strong girl nam soon" bcoz i remember how everyone was just drooling over byun woo seok on that drama even though he was the villain of that series .i feel like he gained a lot of fans from that series and people started wishing to see in a lead role rather than SML/villain roles. So many fans were excited to see him as a ML in a new romance series. That combined with the talented and charming kim hye yoon lead to the success of lovely runner

So funny…I follow Willow. The main reason I am a huge Rakutan/Viki fan because the subbers are fantastic and add important additions: 1. They translate the OST songs…which are super important in K-dramas. 2 They often explain cultural references that we would not know, idioms are explained, and we are told if formal or informal language is being used. 3. I go to Netflix only if necessary

Dropped Lovely Runner, Twinkling Watermelon was ok, Endured Attorney Woo. I'm sure Netflix would have loved the revenue from them but given how bland and formulaic so much of their stuff is, when I see "Netflix" attached to a KDrama it tends to put me off. Then again, I started watching KDramas in the same year that Netflix released its first ever original content in any language.

Netflix kdramas mostly are overrated. Looks like they pay for social media promotions and you can see most shorts from Netflix dramas

Hi, as we mention in the video, Netflix only acquired distribution rights, not the intellectual property of Extraordinary Attorney Woo. Netflix wanted to purchase the whole show from AStory but the company rejected their offer and allowed them to only distribute the drama in certain regions.

Lovely Runner was a hit and I’m happy for its success but I feel like some people are being dramatic like it was a good drama but that was all. It didn’t really leave any feelings lingering for me like Netflix kdramas Crash landing on you, My name, Sweet home.
