Really going to enjoy seeing all 4 parts to this series!! Mystery Grail does get a bad rep but really and truly they are overall a pretty good mystery box company! Super cheap price for a chance at something decent to huge and they actually send out the grails (sometimes I doubt some companies actually do send out their hits) plus the tokens really do pay off if you are patient and build them up!! Currently I have 25,000 tokens and just keep waiting for something I really want to show up in the prize shop!!
I agree about Mystery Grail. I think people gave them a hard time at first, but hopefully are starting to warm up to them again. I hope they continue to make sure they have a good mix of new and old stuff in their boxes.
I can't wait for the other parts! Some of those pops were really cool, like the Jean Grey and Batman! Hope you're able to pull a star in one of the next parts!!

Not to shabby! I tell people all the time, the scratch cards, along with the free pop protectors, really make these a pretty great value even if you don't pull an amazing pop.

I agree! What really makes Mystery Grail stand out is the scratch cards. I mention it in the videos a lot but the scratch cards are a big selling point for me compared to other companies who do lower dollar mystery boxes mainly because they have pretty good stuff in the prize shop and it helps recover some of the money you spent. They're a lot of fun. As long as you go into it with reasonable expectations, they are cool boxes to open and every now and then you will get something more valuable/rare.
@@TheFunko411 yeah i think I'm at a point in my collecting though that I'm more choosey, i want certain pops, not every pop lol. You know, when you first start collecting you grab everything you see 👀. After 8 years, you gotta start drawing lines 🤣🤣🤣

This series is going to be a lot of fun I just clicked on thye most recent one and took your advice to come back and watch from the beginning. I love Funko Pops but I'm such an addict blind boxes that's something that's always missing for me. This has turned it into a perfect combination of both. It's so exciting watching you pop those Lids open. Hope to see you do this again in the future. BTW I'm a new subscriber.

I TRIED THE SAME THING WITH PENNYWISE, I KEPT THE 10 INCH AND THE AMAZON BLOODY EXCLUSIVE. TO MANY TO KEEP UP WITH, DO I HAVE UP AND KEPT MY FAVORITE 2.
Yeah, they make it so tough once they start rolling out multiple variants of the same figure! I had to just give up and kept only a few (including the 10 inch as well!).
The diamond edition mayor pop also had a chase. They double dipped that pop hard

That’s the great thing with Mystery Grail - even if you have bad luck the scratch cards make it easy to break even. I won’t spoil anything for the new few parts, but I think you’ll enjoy them!

Couple of the local Target's still have that darn Rose Pop still on shelf. After being on shelf for what 5 years now you'd think they'd clearance her out. Some good Pops and some meh Pops you got typical with Mystery Grail.
Yeah, I would say this was pretty consistent with what I would expect from them. I will say, it does seem like they are putting more newer pops in than they used to. I liked it better when I would see more 2018 and older stuff even if it wasn’t super high value.

If I had to guess because I have had the same thing big $$ grail no star. Pre packed boxes. Values go up before they can star them. Just a guess
You know the only thing I’d say is you just never know what could be a future grail. Except for Rose-unless a miracle happens that one will never be valuable.

Some decent pulls….I would have thought the Te Ka and Lucious would have had stars at least…I’ve seen them put stars on $20 pops and seen $40 pops with out them so I guess it just depends on who is packing that weeks run. Gotta so though, thank Frank von Viener is my favorite from this video. Every time I see it I think about getting it. Weird food themed pops was a collection I thought about putting together at one point, before the foodies that is.
Yeah, they always surprise with which Pops get the stars because I’ve gotten some low value stars before and some high value non-stars. Overall I was pretty happy with these.

Can't wait to see 1 single grail I've never seen even one unboxed and even the 5 I've ordered and they didn't give me my damn frootie candy in 2 ...1 no scratch off or the candy and got a absolute dud ... I won't buy anymore mystery boxes cuz I get like 90% anime and I only really watched DBZ when I was in 7th grade in 1999
The odds of getting the mega grails are extremely low. For context, I bought 100 boxes across 25 different weeks. Each week they typically release 1,750 boxes. So over 25 weeks, they sold 43,750 boxes. Even though the 100 I bought seems like a lot, it was still a tiny fraction of the overall boxes (0.22%).
I definitely get a TON of anime from pretty much all mystery box companies and I have run into a few instance where I didn’t get the candy from Mystery Grail. If they didn’t send a scratcher, I would email them, but I haven’t had that happen yet.
Ouch, welcome to reality. but seriously, after your scratch offs you didn’t do that bad at all! they charge $72 for 100 protectors, at the end of the run you should add that money to your final total. you did better than I thought you were going to do, hope you’re doing even better next time! Happy New Year Patty! I actually tossed around the idea of factoring in the value of the protectors but ultimately decided against it just because other companies put their Pops in protectors sometimes too 🤷🏻♂️ The scratch cards on the other hand are something that differentiates them, so I felt like those were fair game to include in the value since no one else really does anything like that.

They are the Witch Marge from the Simpsons Treehouse of Horrors and Black Adam from his own movie Black Adam, but this is the chase glows in the dark with lightning bolts coming out of his hands. Check out the ranking slides at the end of the video. I feel like they get a bad rap but they offer the best value of all boxes I’ve opened on the channel so far (for boxes that don’t have a guaranteed value).
