lol if they pick a black dumbledore but make him look the way dumbledore should otherwise, it's gonna look like one of the targaryens from the spin off game of thrones show
They should have Jude Law who played as Dumbledore in the Fantastic Beast. He's 51. He has wrinkles around the eyes, so make up artists can add very little details there. Give him a fake long beard, long hair, and he can do it.
@@cndosrs Yeah, but my issue is simply this. They said this reboot will cover things from the books that wasn't in the films and will be very book accurate. So they can't just turn around and be like.. yeah this character whose described as a white dude is now African. If they made the Weasley's black people would actually be upset though as it specifically showcases the Weasley's being ginger. These casting options for Dumbledore and the trio are bad. The trio are older. Tired of all this gotta be diversity on reboots or adaptations. Just follow what it says and describes in the book.
I don’t get too mad about forced diversity in Hollywood, but a black Dumbledore is crossing the line. That is such a horrible idea, they better not do it
Honestly, I’m not sure how I feel about this. The movies had it spot on, and are still playing on a few streaming services. I recently went back through them with a couple of friends, and the actors that they chose, looked and played their part perfectly. If they’re only making a reboot for inclusion and money, I really don’t think it’s gonna be worth it.
Has one big fan of both the movie and the book, i really looking for the show. The movie don't have the time to show us all the magic the book have and the character. I hope to see Peeves, Charlie Weasley, Andromeda Tonks, Winky, and so many more. If they do it right, the show could be a great expand of the Hp univers
The movies were far from spot on. They leave out a lot of important details, and character development. Even Harry’s character is rushed, and underdeveloped in the movie. Harry is actually very funny and witty. Hermione was arrogant, and bossy. Ron was immature, but loyal, and brave. Ginny was actually a badass and unlike in the movies she was actually present in Harry’s life. Remus was self loathing, Snape was extremely mean to all the kids for no reason. Serious loved danger, and excitement, and tried to live vicariously through Harry and his friends. Percy was insufferable, and obsessed with his public image. He was also jealous of Harry bc of his fame. These are all key details that are what make the characters relatable.
Yeah.. I have a feeling they won't be any better. And why don't they just make a new movie series. Fresh content. An expansion on the universe, that's what we all really want I feel like. Like harry's kids or SOMETHING. Not just a reboot..
The great thing is that Daniel is actually about the correct age at this point to play Sirius or Lupin. That would be awesome! But, I do get his reasoning for staying out.
I heard that they will introduce the cock shaft wand in this adaptation. It’s a wand which uses a hair from a 150 yearold Goblins hairy asshole as a string and pussy juice of an elvish slave as it’s core.
To be honest the only one I liked was Adam driver, for Severus (Sever-us) Snape. He was supposed to be younger in the first one anyway, Even though Alan Rickman played the part exceptionally.

Why cast a 17 year old to play a 12 year old. Apart from just being way to old, and too much of a main character to get away with it, she'd be in her 20's before the first season even airs, closer to 30 before this all wraps up, paling a teenagers against actual real teenagers, supposedly ending the series in a romantic relationship with one of them. Also I think all the cast should be British unless stated otherwise in the book (like the visitors from the other schools in book 4 obviously), and I think they should really try to stick close to the ages everyone was in the book. Get actual kids for the kid roles, Get people in their early-mid 30's for Remus, Sirius, Peter and Snape. McGonnagall is supposed to be in her mid-late 50's. Maggie Smith was a tad bit too old to play her when the movies first came out, but she was Rowlings dream pick and managed reasonably to hold up through all of the movies. Helen Mirren is 78 now, if she even survives the entire production she'd be close to 90 by the end of it and might not even be able to play the character even if she is alive. The one exception to the age rule is Dumbledore, I say do please cast someone that isn't too old, around 60, give or take a couple of years, like Ian McKellen was when they started Lord of the Rings or Gambon was when he took over as Dumbledore, and do the aging with make-up, so that we might actually have the same Dumbledore all the way through and one that can still give the character the proper strength all the way to the end.

I extend my sincere appreciation to the original cast and crew of the movies. But I am particularly eager to witness the reboot, given that J.K. Rowling has assumed the role of executive producer. This development implies the inclusion of crucial content from the books within the series, assuring a comprehensive portrayal without the constraints of time, characteristic of a serialized format.
Benedict cumberbatch could fit for voldermort as well, but I'd be happy to see him play snape. Most of the characters he played are misunderstood, lonely, etc and snape could fit perfectly.
I would love to see Harry as Sirius or Lupin or James. Ginny as Lily Potter. Draco as Lucius. Ron as Arthur. Hermione as Aunt Petunia or Molly. Umbridge as Aunt Marge. Nearly-Headless Nick as Sir Cadogan (King Arthur🥥🥥🥥🐴🐴🐴). Professor Sprout as the grandma telling her granddaughter a story about a wolf. And Gilderoy Lockhart as Frank Longbottom🤪🤪🤪.

I think Colin Firth and Benedict Cumberbatch would be perfect as Dumbledore & Voldemort respectively. If I were to recast some of the old cast I would have Daniel Radcliffe as James Potter, Rupert Grint as Arthur Weasley, Emma Watson for Bellatrix Lestrange, Tom Felton for Lucuis Malfoy & Bonnie Wright for Lily.
Jim Carrey as Professor Mad Moody Daniel Radcliffe for Sirius Black Rupert Grint for Arthur Weasley / Bill Weasley Tom Felton as Lucius Malfoy Enma Watson can be cast as Fleur Delacour or Tonks (Auror) Ralph Fiennes as Lord Voldemort Alfred Enoch as Kingsley Shacklebolt Adam Driver as Severus Snape Matthew Lewis as Professor Lupin / Quirrel Harry Melling as Vernon Dursley Zach Galifianakis as Rubeus Hagrid Sir Ian McKellen as Professor Albus Dumbledore (finally!) Tobey McGuire as Professor Gilderoy Lockhart Dame Helen Mirren as Professor McGonagall Robert Pattinson as Cornelius Fudge
Did anyone else notice Dumbledoor being black?.. isn’t that… just so convinient? He was gay… now he’s black… in the next adaptation he’ll be a woman.. or a transgender 😂😂😂😂😂
I just think there are a few hundred speaking roles in each book, so it would be fun to have old cast members popping up throughout in completely different roles in a way that wouldn’t take away from anything just have Julie Walters be the trolley cart witch, and things like that. Even an unexpected casting choice like casting the McLaggen guy as Sirius or something. There’s plenty of roles and plenty of actors.
so fitting....thanks Emma for not standing up for your own rights, in what you say is "love" it seems more like you are afraid to assert yourself as a woman... Women are not just people....they are women. A man in a dress is not a woman, no matter how much he feels he is.....
Unless it's older versions of the characters, I'd like them to reprise their roles, but for the TV series as a whole, we need a whole new cast. I never read the books, but hopefully it's extremely faithful to the books and fully fleshed out unlike the movies which were clearly rushed with changes. I've only heard of Hermoine's original character and would love to see how psycho personality.
Tom Felton as Lucius Malfoy, that'd be so good, Ruppert as Arthur Weasley would also be great, the dynamic they could've would be just perfect as they already have it, one character that really worries me is Bellatrix, Helena Bonham Cartes was just perfect and I don't really think any acress would be better than her for that role, as for Mcgonagall, i really want to see how the character is managed, but i think Meryl Strip would fit it better, she's expensive tho so I don't think they'd have the budget for her.
Why why why would they start off with taking 2 steps backwards from the get go by casting like this. The original movies were gold despite inaccuracies BECAUSE the casting was so well done. Not only did the original cast actors match the appearance but they also matched the personality of their respective characters. Now we casting people who dont match the look OR personality, cant atleast get 1 of the 2? Already expecting this to flop, but we'll see in time.
Like timeturn we can't change past or present or future but time passes by it self 🙏 but no one can ever replace the ones we have lost or bring them back
honestly Instead of a reboot i'd prefer a sequel of it being the son of harry potter, but thinking about Naruto & Boruto show, it just doesn't work too well.
not adam driver for snape tho edit: so when they said diversity they only meant one character ? who is also probably not going to be black because the actor is too young? Also the whole trans thing is nonse since personality doesnt have a gender and all personality traits are neutral in their nature. There is no psychological gender, no matter how much people want to believe that. Its literally a social construct.
Bro why cant they continue with all the previous characters staying parents and their kids being in hogwarts. To be able to see characters like harry, ron, hermione, draco and others as parents would be super cool. Why cant that be the new reboot. What is the point of just redoing literally everything. Sometimes i wonder how stupid can people be.
The main trio have a very young Harry and a very old Ron & Hermione. My issues are this: - Harry Potter potential cast = I can see it - Ron Weasley potential cast = No, Weasley's are ginger he isn't even ginger and is 15, they're suppose to be kids at the start - Hermoine potential cast = I can see it but she's 17, too old to play a 10 to 13 year old - Rest I am fine with except Dumbledore - Not to sound weird but... Dumbledore is a white old wizard plus they could have Jude Law who played Dumbledore in the Fantastic Beasts just add the long beard, long white hair, and some makeup.
Going to tell you the books are way better. Glad you chose the right choice. Eventually if you get bored of them, try audio books if you're not a fan of reading. After you finish the series of course.
The cast hasn't been revealed - these are fancasts of Harry, Ron and Hermione (the other characters where stated as fancasts in the video). There isn't even a casting director attached to the show as of right now. The current information around the cast boils down to speculation.
More people will watch a new series with a different cast than will watch A Cursed Child. That was horrific. There was a ton that had to be left out of the movies that can be put into a series.
Considering how much care was put in casting the right actor for each character in the movies, and now they pick them like any regular tv show. These casting choices make no sense and already give me Rings of Power flashbacks.
saying the old cast would be too distracting to be in the new film screams to me their going to murder the franchise and they want as little resistance as possible
I like the idea but I don’t love it. I think it will be hard in my opinion to see other actors play the characters we love. I do agree with them saying that if they had new young actors are a new set of friends in Hogwarts. But I am not sure how they’re supposed to have a 17 year old actor play someone who is 11. I do think that it will be cool to see new people just not 100% on new actors playing the original cast. I think it would have been cool if they had continued on with Harry, Ron, and Hermione’s kids in Hogwarts. Like shown the kids years in Hogwarts. Ofc this is just my opinion disagree if you want to.
Cautiously optimistic, and I hope they stick to the books. I know a specific minority of people want this series to represent every marginalized group, and I don't have a problem with small things in the background or even the foreground along the way, as long as it doesn't screw with the original story and the character development. I get why people want to see themselves represented in a character, and I hate how fans are now ultra resistant to any changes to race or gender, but I understand how we got here. We can thank Hollywood and Disney for lacking creativity and simply remaking movies, swapping out characters, and making them way worse than the original. Please let this actually be good.

Florence Bensberg as Hermione! she's a much better fit than 17-year old Bronte Carmichael
just looked her up and definitely! she'd make a good Hermione!
I think they should make the reboot about harry, ginny, ron and hermione’s kids going to hogwarts
The cursed child... 😵💫😵😵💫😵😵💫😵😵💫😵
That exists already it’s a book
@@YenellyTwhat book? Did you take your meds td??😭
@@Jrxvdebo there’s a book called Harry Potter and the cursed child… it’s also a play on Broadway . Maybe look it up before commenting that?
@@YenellyTbut it’s awful
In my opnion this new trio do not look like trio. They could look for new ppl there's tons of ppl like harry potter
the only person who should play snape is Benedict Cumberbatch, and I won't hear otherwise
Benedict cumberbatch could fit for voldermort as well, but I'd be happy to see him play snape. Most of the characters he played are misunderstood, lonely, etc and snape could fit perfectly.
He is too old for snape. Snape is like 30 in the first book
@@ИринаУстюгова-ъ5щ he's ageless
@@ИринаУстюгова-ъ5щ Alan Rickman was also much older then Snape, and incase you have not noticed, his aacting was amazing
@@fariz1523 acting was amazing, but it wasn't snape from the books, it was а different character
It will never be better than the og Harry Potter
If most of the original cast wants to come back, why not make The Cursed Child movie?
Because it’s trash. We don’t talk about that part of the franchise
Please do NOT reboot the harry potter! I thingk the Marauders is great to be a series.
Season 1 Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone (2026)
Season 2 Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (2027)
Season 3 Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (2028)
Season 4 Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (2029)
Season 5 Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (2030)
Season 6 Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (2031)
Season 7 Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (2032)
I think Colin Firth and Benedict Cumberbatch would be perfect as Dumbledore & Voldemort respectively.
If I were to recast some of the old cast I would have Daniel Radcliffe as James Potter, Rupert Grint as Arthur Weasley, Emma Watson for Bellatrix Lestrange, Tom Felton for Lucuis Malfoy & Bonnie Wright for Lily.
a black dumbledore?? I WILL end my HBO account.
I don’t even watch Harry Potter but I don’t even understand why they’re rebooting it
Jim Carrey as Professor Mad Moody
Daniel Radcliffe for Sirius Black
Rupert Grint for Arthur Weasley / Bill Weasley
Tom Felton as Lucius Malfoy
Enma Watson can be cast as Fleur Delacour or Tonks (Auror)
Ralph Fiennes as Lord Voldemort
Alfred Enoch as Kingsley Shacklebolt
Adam Driver as Severus Snape
Matthew Lewis as Professor Lupin / Quirrel
Harry Melling as Vernon Dursley
Zach Galifianakis as Rubeus Hagrid
Sir Ian McKellen as Professor Albus Dumbledore (finally!)
Tobey McGuire as Professor Gilderoy Lockhart
Dame Helen Mirren as Professor McGonagall
Robert Pattinson as Cornelius Fudge
THEY ARE RUNING MY CHILDHOOD🤦🏾♀️
I can’t imagine anyone else as the golden trio, Draco or anyone in the movie 😭
From what I’m looking up all the stations being claimed to be involved say there isn’t a reboot being made or worked on
I want harry potter cursed child reboot please tonight!
Unless it's older versions of the characters, I'd like them to reprise their roles,
but for the TV series as a whole, we need a whole new cast.
I never read the books, but hopefully it's extremely faithful to the books and fully fleshed out unlike the movies which were clearly rushed with changes.
I've only heard of Hermoine's original character and would love to see how psycho personality.
Tom Felton as Lucius Malfoy?! Hells yes!
“Seeverus Snape”
BUT WILL HIS EYES BE GREEN????
I rlly dont know how I feel with them remaking it because the OG in my opinion will never rlly be beaten by any remakes
Seeverus?! CCCVERUS?! lol 😂
“Without MOST of the former cast” I hope that implies an exception for Tom and maybe Ralph 🙏🏻
I want the same 🥹but differeeeent,😎😎 the SAME 🧐but DiffREEeeNT🤓😃🤪😎😎😎🤣
😁
I can’t wait let’s go bring it on ❤😂🎉😢😮
who misses the old cast but still wants to watch the new one 👇
I don’t know how I feel about this tbh
This TV Show will be like the Resident Evil TV show
Why why why would they start off with taking 2 steps backwards from the get go by casting like this.
Yeah I don’t think it’s going to be good
Like timeturn we can't change past or present or future but time passes by it self 🙏 but no one can ever replace the ones we have lost or bring them back
Release date when???
2025
honestly Instead of a reboot i'd prefer a sequel of it being the son of harry potter, but thinking about Naruto & Boruto show, it just doesn't work too well.
Is Ron going to more true to the book?
Forget Ron, I want Ginny to be accurate she had zero personality in the films but is such a sassy queen in the books!
@@91clarie How about both be accurate?
not adam driver for snape tho
edit: so when they said diversity they only meant one character ? who is also probably not going to be black because the actor is too young? Also the whole trans thing is nonse since personality doesnt have a gender and all personality traits are neutral in their nature. There is no psychological gender, no matter how much people want to believe that. Its literally a social construct.
How can they cast a 17-year-old to play an 11-year-old🤔 is she super short?
Yes, much too old
Bro why cant they continue with all the previous characters staying parents and their kids being in hogwarts. To be able to see characters like harry, ron, hermione, draco and others as parents would be super cool. Why cant that be the new reboot. What is the point of just redoing literally everything. Sometimes i wonder how stupid can people be.
They couldn't go anywhere with it. Would get boring tbh. We need something similar but different
The main trio have a very young Harry and a very old Ron & Hermione. My issues are this:
- Harry Potter potential cast = I can see it
- Ron Weasley potential cast = No, Weasley's are ginger he isn't even ginger and is 15, they're suppose to be kids at the start
- Hermoine potential cast = I can see it but she's 17, too old to play a 10 to 13 year old
- Rest I am fine with except Dumbledore - Not to sound weird but... Dumbledore is a white old wizard plus they could have Jude Law who played Dumbledore in the Fantastic Beasts just add the long beard, long white hair, and some makeup.
Adam Driver is 40 so if we’re talking about book accuracy, he’d be over 10 yrs older than Snape in the first book. Unless they de-age him
I know they always try to cast older actors for the children roles but casting 17 year old for a 11 year old in a 7 books series is really pushing it
Dude why are the trio like 5 years older than they’re characters
Daniel Radcliffe would be an amazing Remus Lupin and Rupert Grint would be a great Arthur Weasley
Reading the books for the first time rn been a fan of the movies my whole life tho
Going to tell you the books are way better. Glad you chose the right choice.
Eventually if you get bored of them, try audio books if you're not a fan of reading. After you finish the series of course.
I’m nearly done with The Goblet of fire.
The cast hasn't been revealed - these are fancasts of Harry, Ron and Hermione (the other characters where stated as fancasts in the video). There isn't even a casting director attached to the show as of right now. The current information around the cast boils down to speculation.
SO excited for this!!
Nah bro when it was talking about Draco at 3:57 my TH-cam screen turned green-
Are they making a new Ariel out of Dumbledore? 😑
Girl stfu. Y’all are so angry. And actually Hermione is going to be black in this tv series.
With black magic
@@Wiwaz 💀
They better keep it original and paint him white
I actually am not sure about the new cast. Like no one can replace the original cast.😢
If the cast is not the same, none's watching. If they're ever making a harry potter movie again, make the cursed child with same cast.
More people will watch a new series with a different cast than will watch A Cursed Child. That was horrific. There was a ton that had to be left out of the movies that can be put into a series.
When they reboot this, THEY BETTER KEEP PEEVES THIS TIME
Considering how much care was put in casting the right actor for each character in the movies, and now they pick them like any regular tv show. These casting choices make no sense and already give me Rings of Power flashbacks.
The ages of the cast is going to be hard because in the first fil.m harry Ron and hermione are 11 years old
Daniel Radcliffe should be on the Reebot
I identify as a Walmart toaster oven
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO 😭😭😭i auditioned bro
Harry potter series reboot will all be new actors there will be none of the old actors
Thank god, original trio isn't coming back. They will turn it into another snow white.
Something to look forward to 😊
How come they released auditions and will release more and asking for 9-11
saying the old cast would be too distracting to be in the new film screams to me their going to murder the franchise and they want as little resistance as possible
Not a black Dumbledore,bro xDDDDDD
6:30 - W Rowling
Also in the hbo max channel they dropped the release date and it was supposed to be yesterday. Still no info on the series
