@@kevenCodes what? No, this isn't a what-if. The idea comes from Order of the Phoenix where Arthur can't figure out how to traverse Muggle London properly and it's a funny scene, so I thought it would he funny if there was a whole film of him being confused about it all.
I bet they could do little 5 minute skits at the beginning of every episode in the vein of Disney when they used to be on top of its game with those Pixar shorts before a movie started. Instead we got Arthur finding out what an iPhone is. Idk probably save the smart phone skit til the very end. That's genius tho! I would love to see it!
I'd really like if they expanded the universe with characters who didn't get a lot of time to shine in the movies. As a fan of the MCU, I really enjoyed Agents Of SHIELD because we get a ton more character development from those who are sidelined for the Avengers, just like a lot of characters were sidelined for Harry, Ron & Hermoine.
Oooh yes I’m glad someone else said it- I want them to add in some more Ginny scenes- she didn’t have enough in any version of the story tbh. I not only want to see her with her book personality, but also have more moments and scenes then we’ve seen of her at any time so far.
I've always wanted this to be an animated series. The amount of problems fixed by making it animated is extreme. And the Harry Potter story would fit very well as an animated series.
THIS! A Hogwarts Origins series would be great. Or literally any prequel. Dumbledore, Ilvermorny, a series about the 1st wizarding war. There are a million options other than rebooting the same story that we already know and love.
@@charriswells9661 They actually wrote a short prequel showcasing the founding of Ilvermorny and all it's interpersonal drama to promote the Fantastic Beasts series. It's a bit late, but they could adapt a prequel expanding on what is known of it.
And changing sexual orientations, gender identities etc for the sake of doing it. Like, here is a token brown man, here is a token black girl, here is a token trans character, here is a token non-binary character etc, for no other reason than filling a quota. That is actually more insulting than not including them at all.
God forbid there's some diversity in a potter adaptation, cause that's the real problem lmao. Let's pretend the casting in the movies didn't result in wooden, lifeless performances by half the main characters.
Personally for me even though the movies made some changes I don't care for, I still love each of the 8 movies, and I don’t think they could compete with some of the casting like, the Golden Trio, Luna Lovegood, Snape. I'll still watch it, but I think it's too soon for a reboot, they should have waited probably 10 more years or something, or have given us a, Marauders show, a Voldmort one, or a show about the founders of Hogwarts, or even a show about the First Wizarding War
Luna is played great, but her character is different from the books. She is supposed to be crazy. Like literally crazy, as medical therm. Not in the cute way "the only one who can really see how world is really works", but in inadequate way. This animal horn is not dangerous, it won't explode --- boom! Reader should not know if brain flies exists and should be uncertain about everything Luna said, but we clearly saw them flying around Harry's head when she find him in the train. That's wrong. And so they missed very interesting theme of mental health in a magical world, all those parallels with Neville parents, Dumbledore, Dumbledore relatives and Voldemort. I would change her character, that is missed opportunities.
100% agree, there are no replacement for the OG cast. When I think of Harry I will always think about Daniel Radcliffe, Ron - Rupert Grint, Hermione - Emma Watson and etc.. My only dream is that JK Rowling makes cursed child uncanon, desides to make a new plot involving the OG cast and continues the story.
@f3dzed these new cast members won't live up to the originals and they don't have to this will be a fresh new start just hope they do a marauders show during the show airing and stuff I don't think they'll use the original theme either maybe they will but try to change it a little like hogwarts legacy and change the font and some parts of the castle
I agree with the point of it being too soon but every time I watch the movies I still feel like I was robbed with everything they left out from the books As long is it’s faithful to the story and they don’t ruin it I’m here for the show!
What people fail to undestand is that Harry Potter movies were made by some of the greates directors in the world. These people had their own vision, which is why the movies were a little bit different from the book. This is often the best way to adopt a book - change it a little bit so that the director would be able to show their own version of the story. HP books have some problems in them and some things are better left out. Hermione being rediculed for starting a campaign for the house elves rights is just... Don't tell me you liked that part of the books. If someone chooses to remake Harry Potter 20 years later - fine. But not now.
@Mg88r2d2 completely agree with you. She was extremely awkward and had no chemistry with Harry. What a terrible portrayal of a beloved character. Percy was mostly left out. Lupin's relationship with Harry was almost nonexistent and his and Tonk's death were treated as an afterthought. Don't even get me started on how they handled Fred's death. But to me the biggest sin was how Michael Gambon portrayed Dumbledore 🤦
It won't be too soon! If the new series will happen they'll be out 2025-26 and the first movie adaptation was 2001, so plenty of time has passed between. And assuming it will be one season/year it'll be finished around 2030-31, that makes close to 20 years since the last of the films were out. + We deserve at least a reasonably faithful live-action adaptation of the books by now. I am sorry movie-fans but judging by the entirety of the 8 movies, in spite of a few memorable moments just weren't very good. Watchable at best.
In my opinion, yes I want to see the Harry Potter Series as a Streaming/TV series because it allows the writers and directors to expand the world of Harry Potter that movies couldn't do. And the Streaming/TV allows the team to be more faithful to the book series. Especially the Half-Blood Prince Book!
@masterelight8172 Nah, the movies that were butchered were Goblet of Fire, Order of the Phoenix, and Half-Blood Prince. But Half-Blood Prince book is my all-time favorite book of the series.
I agree. Too much was cut or portrayed incorrectly in the movies. In my opinion, the worst offender was the prisoner of Azkaban. The director gave us a very artsy picture with barely a story. He actually wanted to cut out more but J.K. Rowling told him "No More!" Also, give Ron his lines back! The fact that they gave his best stuff to Hermione to make her look better and him stupid makes me dislike her. And one of my biggest problems with the movies, the Ravenclaw colors are BRONZE and BLUE, House symbol is a GOLDEN EAGLE. That was the biggest disservice they could have to Ravenclaw fans. Its difficult to get merch with the correct colors and symbol. Hopefully this will be corrected. The best thing though on a reboot is that as this is a TV series, not only can they cover all the information from the books, they can also add anything left out but was mentioned or covered by J.K. Rowling after. The whole story can be expanded beyond the books and movies. Haters are going to hate, if they don't like it, no one is forcing them to watch.
I’ve said it a few times and I’ll say it again, ‘The Noble House of Black’ would be an incredible series. Not only would audiences see beloved characters such as sirius and the rest of the marauders, but they would also see great villains again such as narcissa, bellatrix, and even Voldemort too, but from a different perspective. It would also be fantastic to see characters such as Regulus and Andromeda, who weren’t involved with the original movies. We could see the upbringings of the 5 main blacks and how they were shaped into the characters that we know from the books and movies. It would also be a chance to see the story of the first wizarding war, not only from the perspective of the order of the Phoenix, but from the perspective of original death eaters as well.
Right I totally agree. There's so much untapped potential in a character-driven story about the younger Black children with the first war being the over-arching plot. It would be in a majority Slytherine perspective too which would be a new and unique experience. We would be able to get to know the Marauders through Sirius, and Ted and Andromeda would be the main romance slowly developing over the course of the show. Their relationship has the potential be something truly special given their backgrounds. It'd also be really great to explore the development of Sirius and Andromeda unlearning their prejudice and how that would contrast to Bellaxtrix and Regulus being radicalised. I'm hoping this reboot is a success tbh because it would inevitably spawn other HP spinoffs like they did with Game of Thrones, and I hope they consider a series following this concept.
Yes. So we can see the real Ron Weasley on the screen. And also so potentially new fans and old can have a chance to experience the original books in a different way.
@@allowableman2 That is true. Order of the Phoenix did a pretty good job. But the whole Weasley is Our King subplot was dropped and really wasn't explored until movie 6. That really displayed a lot of Ron's insecurities along with the fact that Harry and Hermione missed his triumph because Grawp needed help. It was a very powerful moment when Ron pressed down his disappointment, accepted it, and focused back on helping their friend. These moments need to be put placed back so people can see the whole complex character that is Ron.
@@Godzillafan78 I have hope. Percy Jackson came out pretty good! And a lot more Ron fans have been speaking out now and we have become a pretty vocal part of the fan base, because more people are reading the books first before watching the movies. I have hope there will be quite a few Ron supporters on the TV team. So fingers crossed!
Finally someone agrees with me. I felt it was the worst adapted one. So as The Half Blood Prince. I need to see the Quidditch World Cup Ireland vs Bulgaria. Make one episode about it.
I agree 100% that it should be animated! They could do so many things with the story that wouldn’t depend on post filming special effects. They also wouldn’t have to worry about the children growing faster than they can film the stories.
Agreed, I honestly thought that'd be the direction the studio would go. Avatar The Last Airbender was excellent as an animated show. If they are wanting a hit show without astronomical budgets it's the best choice. I'd be just as hyped if it was animated.
You're spot on saying this should be an animated series. It would be a lovely way to dive into doing a reboot and would actually be something to anticipate rather than be worried about.
@@cristinaapariciolinale2119well Harry Potter is not for adult fans, even the movies were meant for kids initially and they're not going anywhere dw. Animation isn't just for kids anyways, it's a form of art and story telling. And can deliver soulfull imagery with little resources and avoids so much of the trouble that comes with casting. With the way the books were written, Harry Potter should've been an animated series a long time ago
@@cristinaapariciolinale2119Ignorant people like you are the reason Disney keeps making soulless live action remakes. Animation can do things live action lacks like making the duels look like duels and not a bunch of clowns waving sticks around
I think if done the right way, a reboot could work. So many characters were totally different from their book counterparts. For example, Voldemort was a little goofy. That hug with Draco & other cringe things he did. The backstory was also handled poorly. When they changed Tom Riddle's line from "annoy" to "mean" it was a horrible decision. I remember the scene when Slughorn was talking to Tom, I got chills seeing how manipulative Tom was. Then seeing the horror on Slughorn's face when he realizes what he has done. Lastly, the final battle was really bad. It would've been epic to see Ginny, Hermione & Luna take on Bellatrix, instead Hermione & Ron were throwing rocks at Nagini. Also to see the three-way duel with Voldemort, McGonagall, Slughorn & Kingsley. I think a reboot can show how far off the mark the movies were. A lot of people who saw the movies did not read the books. I think as new generations read the books and watch the show. It might grow into something interesting. Even one of the golden trio was done dirty. It has been covered on the channel. Ron was loyal, kind & intelligent. He was jealous of Harry, but I think he regrets how he treated his best friend. Harry never asked for the fame, Ron understood that. The movies also shoved in a romantic plot line for Harry & Hermione. Some of the movie changes made no sense. I never realized how bad until you covered the books vs the movies. But only time will tell.
I always tell people that want a voldemort origin story that book 7 has most of it but they left it out, a tv show can have a whole dedicated episode to expand a character.
6:07 yea, even when i read the books, i just imagine their version of these charcters. The actors are way too iconic that even when you look at theyre unaccurate stuff like hermione being beautiful or ron not as tall or harry's eyes being blue and not green, you still look at them as the best versions
@@Vulcan76760 we will see when they do that, and I wouldn't mind if the new golden trio are not physically accurate, they just have to be accurate personality wise. The Golden trio from the movies are NOT the Golden trio from the books.
The Harry Potter movies have something special I have not seen in any other franchise or fandom, and that is that every film no matter the quality or how well adapted it was, it is someone's favorite. I can ask any of my friends or people who like HP which one is their favourite and I will always hear mixed answers.... That's very rare to see specially for an 8 film saga. So Warner has a huge task if they want to get to that level of success with the new series
I feel like this could be an opportunity to open up the franchise further, if successful. Then we will have all kinds of Harry Potter content; The Marauders, Voldemort Origins, Hogwarts: The Founders…. Honestly, I could go on. I’m excited and staying positive about the upcoming series - hopefully they’ll capture the characters a bit better than the movies did
I want it so bad, ron was almost deleted from the films while his traits were passed to hermione. I want the golden trio to shine as they did in the original story. I stopped watching the movies after the 4th came out, it took me a few years to catch up with the last 4 movies because of the above.
We need a Animated version where the story is of books and characters looks similar to those in Movies. Harry looks like Daniel Radcliff from movies but have green eyes according to story.
They should do something similar to Tales of The Jedi, in which every episode is about a different, well liked character. One episode could be about Snape, another could be McGonagall, Dumbledore etc. It would be a good way to show backstories of well liked character’s and not just do the same thing again
After reading the books, I would LOVE this series. As much as I love the movies, they left out so many plot lines and characters from the books. Whenever I watch the movies now, I just can’t help comparing them to the books and being disappointed that a lot was left out. I’m really hoping this reboot will follow the books more. Whether animated or not, I’m hopeful and excited 😊
Like most things today, this feels like a cash grab. Exploiting millions of peoples fond memories and associations with Harry Potter, instead of trying some original, time relevant, new film projects. No movie or TV show adaptations will ever be "perfect", because books and movies are very different mediums of storytelling.
I absolutely agree it should be animated but honestly I’m still excited to see this series especially if they add more things from the book and FIX Goblet of Fire and the Half Blood Prince. I just see this show as a chance to have top tier visuals and a script closer to the books with maybe an opportunity to fix some plot holes and characters like Bartey Crouch Jr and Cedric Digory
All I want is a feel good slice of life sitcom about being students at Hogwarts. Relationship drama, quidditch rivalries, house parties, the classic high school stuff
This would give us a taste of something different for sure! And having that more intimate feeling of a weekly show and catching up with my favourite characters whilst following a familiar plot to get excited about actually sits ok with me. As long as the originals will always be respected as the golden standard
And the thing is for the original trio, their visage is still used in multiple formats. The Universal attractions, merchandise packaging, Lego sets, even knock-off shit, all use Dan, Rupert, and Emma’s likeness’s.
@@lunarisita26 Same!! I don't really know why so many people here are like they can't imagine the golden trio other than Dan, Emma and Rupert, and that they were the best versions , and that the casting was absolute perfection like bruh they were the only version 😂😂😂.
I grew up with both the films and the books. I learned to read with the first book. This story is pretty dear to my heart. But the movies, while pretty good, had a lot of issues, mostly the later ones. Many characters were too old, the 6th movie was turned into basically a romantic comedy until the end, a lot of small stories missing, turning Ron into a dumb character, and giving a lot of Ginny and Ron's character development to Hermione, Voldemort's death, etc, etc. I am truly excited about the tv series. I hope they make a good job, and I think people should keep an open mind. The movies will always be there, they are not been delegated from existence, you can still enjoy them. And I bet there will be some cameos going on in the series over time for the fans.
Yes, the books deserve a better adaptation. I love the movies and grew up with them, but I don’t think nostalgia is a good enough reason to not make a better adaptation. I know I’m gonna Annie some people with this, but I must say I’m a bit annoyed with some parts of the fandom. I mean, people have complained over the amount of book material missing from the movies, and when it’s finally announced that they’re gonna make a more accurate adaption of the books, then suddenly a lot of fans is not happy about it. An accurate adaption of the books is more important than any other story. Sure we might not feel nostalgic with the new series since we didn’t grow up with it, but I think it would be amazing for a younger generation to grow up with the series
Great video! I agree with everything you said but especially the fact that it would be much better animated! Harry Potter is both my favorite book series and movie franchise and I know that there is no way that the new reboot will top the amazing golden trios casting.
People said this about joker, but look at Health Ledger. Daniel, Emma and Rupert were good but not perfect casting, infact personality wise the golden trio in the movies are completely different in the books. Ron is not a bummbling baboon, a goofy sidekick and a comedic relief in the books, Hermione is not a Greek Goddess, Who does nothing wrong, says nothing wrong and is perfect at everything, in the books. Harry is not a dull, boring, bland and indecisive protagonist in the books.
You do make a good point and I think that they need to give Ron back some of his parts instead of giving them to her ions. But I also still think the new movies will be able to replace the special originals.@@RabiyaRavenclaw
Make it animated! Animation as a whole needs to be taken seriously and they wouldn't have to worry about the cast aging out of the roles. It would also help separate it from the 8 movies. (Nevermind, he brought this up.) Heck, instead of a reboot, they could make a sequel series about The Golden Trio as adults. You can even use it to make The Cursed Child noncanon!
I only recently realized just how many things that were left unexplained in the movies that I never questioned because I had read the books and knew what they were. Most people I talked to however always asked questions about things I had assumed were common knowledge. This reboot has the potential to change that. On the other hand, the atmosphere and style the movies created were iconic and it will be very hard for the show to even come close to that. I hope they do something new without trying to just copy the films.
I’m actually really, really happy and excited that they’re doing the HP books as a TV show. While I like the HP movies, there was way too much left out. Too many important moments that were skipped. Some things changed that I really wish hadn’t been. In my eyes, they’re not that great of a movie adaptation. I still enjoy them. I love the cast. But I’ve been hoping for over two decades for them to make a TV adaptation that can follow the books more faithfully.
Hello! I first read the books when I was 21 years old. In one month I read the first 4 and then eagerly awaited each new book. Today, at 43 years old, I still love this story. It means a lot to me. I feel like the movies didn't reflect the beauty of the books. I could never enjoy the movies for that reason, and because they left out too many important things. Personally, I am very enthusiastic about the series, I trust that this time they will do it right. If I can see the final duel between Harry and Voldemort as described in the book, I will be happy. PS: the idea of animation is excellent!
Everything you said… I totally agree! It would be so much better if they made Harry Potter animated. The potential would be huge, especially if they stick to the books.
I definitely agree that the cast and creators are going to have an uphill battle. It's crazy that so many people have been comparing the Percy Jackson series to the horribly adapted movies. I also was very excited that making a series would mean more time to focus on things from the books that tend to get skipped in a movie, but Percy still feels a little rushed through a lot of sections that you can really savor while reading the books.
My only complaint with the movies is that there was so much material left behind Ginny particularly is my favorite character from the books and I don't like how she was left as a boring side character and then a non organic lover for Harry
I agree. An animated Harry Potter series is something I've wanted since the first movie came out. I could even then see how much was missing from the books and saw that it was impossible to get all that without doing it in an animated series. Too bad they don't follow that path now. I think if anything it would have been a success.
I think a Harry Potter reboot is a good idea. I love Harry Potter, but there are some things in the books that wasn't in the movies. And i would love to see that in the new series. Can't we try to be positive and think that maybe it will be good. Not all filmmakers in the whole world are bad at making series. 🙂❤🔥
I am incredibly excited for the reboot series as long as it’s fully faithful to the books and includes the things like you say in the beginning of this video. I want to see everything I read in the books brought to the page and a series format allows that to happen so hopefully they do that. However I would have loved a marauders, hogwarts founders or Voldemort series. Hopefully they’ll do one or more of those following the series and maybe use the series to soft launch them
I am excited for the reboot, I really love the cast of the movies, but as a Harry Potter fan, I think that a full series should be more of a priority that comparing the old cast with the new one. But still, who doesn't want a series on the Marauders, Voldys's past, the founders of Hogwats or even a quidditch world cup
An Auror centered mini series spin-off (also orbiting around ministry afairs) would be interesting! Also, I haven't heard anyone else suggesting something similar :)
As a fan i am intrigued and curious to see where they take it. I think if they do it right, without being too influenced by wokeness (sadly i think it will probably play a big part) and stay true to the canon this could be absolutely great though there's another thing... being such a long story spanning 7 years or so its going to be very challenging. I still hold hope that somehow they'll find some pocket change and make 1 last fantastic beast film where they properly end the story even if they don't go for the 2 films they had initially planned (4th and 5th i mean).
@@intrusive-th0t with that he most definitely meant to not do any stupid changes to the looks/personalities of characters as they were originally represented in the books and movies (such as changing the races of characters, making them gay when the original series never did, etc). This has been seen recently in many other movies and as the original commenter said, it will most definitely play a big part in the series.
@@wasyeeeeeee why does changing skin color matter any more than changing eye color? Harry was supposed to have green eyes in the books but Daniel Radcliffe’s eyes are blue. If a random trait being a different color ruins the series for you then that sounds pretty dumb to me.
@@intrusive-th0t Yes you are right, Harry had green eyes in the books while Dan's eyes are blue. That's just one of the many "mistakes" the original HP movies had. The new movie's plan is specifically to **correct** these mistakes the original ones got wrong or didn't implement accurately to the movies. and no, a different color of some actor would not ruin the movies for me, but instead in my opinion it's just unnecessary. I think there's nothing bad following the original looks of the characters as the books represented them as.
Fully agree if this had been the case back in 2001 this would have been a blast and as an avid fan of the books I always preferred the book versions 'cause so many things were left out. The worst of all imo was Ginny Weasley in the movies had literally nothing to do with her book character. That was all because one of the producers was so addicted to shipping Harry and Hermione and someone who has never read the books might get the wrong opinion about the actual relationships. Don't get me wrong I always loved Hermione, but I hated the fact that the filmmakers diminishes Ginny's character
@@christinamayers3234let's not forget how they massacred everything about my best boi Ron. Like they gave all of his good moments to Hermione or some other character. Can't blame Rupert, he worked with what he was given, but sucks they did him and the character so dirty.
Also, it didn't help that they started doing the movies before the books were finished. I don't know how much Rowling was telling the screenwriters about her future plans.
@@christinamayers3234I totally agree with this. Ginny is my favourite character from the books but the films did her so dirty. It’s a real shame cause Bonnie Wright absolutely looked the part and I think would have done a brilliant job as a book accurate Ginny, but they made her something else entirely which is just so disappointing. Therefore, as a Ginny fan I very much look forward to hopefully seeing her character done right this time, and I’m also hopeful that they’ll add in some extra scenes for her that weren’t in the books, as I feel there should be more moments for her than there were.
@@PhoenixJesterGamingexactly. Rupert and Bonnie were such great choices and could have easily done great jobs as book accurate versions of Ron and Ginny, but the filmmakers just made them both act so differently to the characters they were supposed to be. It confuses me as to how Bonnie can state she loved playing Ginny when she wasn’t really playing Ginny when you think about it.
I say no. Like you said, the films may not be perfect, but they did an excellent job of telling Harry's story and it would be pointless to tell it all again. I personally think a TV series should be about the Hogwarts Founders or maybe the events that led up to the International Satute of Wizarding Secrecy being signed
I’m excited for this show regardless of the fact that it’s a retelling. Simply because I’m excited to see all the stuff the movies left out, brought to life. Like Peeves, Winky, Kreachers tale and all kinds of stuff they left out.
The reason you think the Harry Potter movies are perfect and doesn't need a remake is because you are the generation that grew up watching them. For someone who just finished reading books and watching movies, I thought the changes to the story and characters in the movie were terrible, and I felt that the three actors who played the Golden Trio were different from the books. I can't forgive Ron's treatment in the movie . I feel like there are many people who watch the movie and get a different impression of the characters than they did when they read the books, so I hope they do a remake soon. If you don't want to see it, just don't watch it. I don't think you need to deny the remake. More than anything, this remake is for the next generation who will grow up watching Harry Potter like you. If there were no changes to the story or race, as JK Rowling says, I am sure that it would be a masterpiece, even better than a movie, and would be loved just like movies.
I'd be more interested in a show about Voldemort's first rise to power and the first Wizarding War. By all accounts, Voldemort had won. Even though Dumbledore was around, the Order was shrinking and Voldemort's army was growing, with the Ministry in complete shambles trying to hide it all from the Muggle world. Then his paranoia led to him attacking Harry, and that's where the show should end. It would be a good chance to show the heroics and tragedies of characters only mentioned, like Molly's two brothers who stood their ground against five Death Eaters before being killed. Or the awful fate of the Bones family who were almost all personally murdered by Voldemort for openly defying him. Also a chance to see how exactly Harry and Neville's parents ''thrice defied the Dark Lord'', what the situations were. Lots of meaty potential in a show like that.
i don't think we necessarily *need* a reboot of harry potter. but if we got one if could adapt everything from the books and not have to leave anything out. goblet of fire and half blood prince would benefit a lot from that. really what i want to see is expanded series. give us stuff on the founders of hogwarts, show us the marauders doing cool stuff. there's plenty more to show outside of the books.
this is exactly what I'm hoping people will open up their minds too. There are just so many plot lines, especially from books 4 ,5, and 6 that I feel a lot of people, who never got to read the books, will find enjoyable. I think the reboot would benefit more for those who didn't really read the books and the new storyline suggestions people are throwing out would benefit more for those who already read the books or know the books by heart.
@@fated_child9889 I think SPEW, the love story of Lupin and Tonks, as well as Bill and Fleur would be awesome to see. Give us more of Percy and his family fallout. Especially because of how the Fred death occurs. It means so much more in the book because Percy and Fred had it the worst in terms of who was the most vocal about disliking percy.
ROWLINGS MARGINS. That’s what I want to see from the series, that should be her involvement, stuff like the dean thomas storyline left to the margins cause the books would’ve been bloated, a show gives her the oppurtunity to flesh out aspects like this. Or a faithful Harry and ginny depiction. There is still a lot that the medium of a show can capture and relight the fire and love Harry Potter fans feel towards the lore.
I’m honestly amazed that the Harry Potter movies are so highly regarded. I thought they were, as the kids say, mid at best. Every one of them left out pretty much all of the characters relating to one another and just gave you a quick rundown of the highlights of the books. I guess it’s a generational thing. Maybe kids were more likely to love the movies. I’m very excited about the reboot since I thought they did such a bad job on the original movies. With a series they’ll be forced to spend time on the conversations the characters had. The deeper emotions of it all and not just Rush through the big events.
As the main story centers about a player created character as an RPG. I don't like this, the same way I don't wanna a Skyrim prequel explaining the Dragonborn's backstory. As it's meant for you, the player itself to derive a backstory for your character, a succesful RPG gives you that option. They should focus instead on a continuation of their sixth and seventh year. With new plot-lines regarding ancient magic, perhaps involving death itself and the creation of the deathly hallows as it was part of one of trials the keepers showed us. Then to also answer unfinished plot lines like Sebastian arc and the Triptych quest-line as it was never explained what happened with Isadora's portrait or why she can't appear. Also first year Dumbledore could play an important role in the student's seventh year, as he begins his first year according to the timeline.
Well, not focusing on the main character but rather the other students would be best during that time, most especially your friends. I'd love to see more of Sebastian and Poppy.
The success of a reboot has everything to do with the quality of the reboot and not its predecessors. If it’s fantastic then it’s fantastic. As long as they don’t change the look and the core music pieces they’re halfway there. Throw in a little good story and good acting and mwuah a master piece.
The irony in what you said about how they should have made a spin-off about characters we know and love, is hilarious. The most loved entry in The Fantastic Beasts series, is Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, the film with the fewest HP characters. The series started getting major flack after introducing characters from the original, like Dumbledore, Nagini, Grindelwald, etc.
I would like this series to focus on things we missed in the movies. Like the kitchen, more quidditch matches, chapters from the book that got left out, and side adventures that fill in the story between the movies. For example, I would love an episode of Hermione making the Polyjuice Potion in the 1 month she had during The Chamber of Secrets.
I love to hear your movie insights, great video and good point on the new stories rather than reboot idea. I personally would love to see some of other wizarding schools and characters from book 4 like Victor Crum or Fleur Delacour’s childhood or about the time when the Hogwarts founders created the school. I actually wouldn’t mind even if the did the books again but different scenes from the original movies, they left a ton out.
Does anybody else think that they’re making one because of the Percy Jackson tv-show? Like they think that Percy Jackson will take over Harry Potter so they’re making another one to be more popular then Percy Jackson
Harry Potter will not be overtaken for a while. People that watched them as kids are having kids and showing it to them. It will be at least a generation before we see a gap in Harry Potter fandom.
@@bessieburnet9816 Well Percy Jackson has great writing in my opinion Pjo is better than Harry Potter and it’s also a good thing Pjo has more representation Harry Potter has so little, all of the important characters are white and there is not a single lgbt character in the book series whereas Pjo has plenty of representation. I’m a Harry Potter fan too but representation is a big reason why I think Percy Jackson is that bit better then Harry potter
I have really appreciated your commentary on the Percy Jackson series so far. I think it’s very important to distinguish between this series and old movies. I think you have a very good opinion about differentiating between a good movie, and Simon is accurate to the book and source material, that’s what’s important to this new series. Thank you for trying to defend the new actors and the new material because it’s really refreshing to see it in a new way.
I’ve always thought that if the Fantastic Beast movies were instead a trilogy with Dumbledore as their protagonist, Grindelwald as the main antagonist, and mainly about their legendary falling out and battle, they would’ve been much more successful financially. As much as some fans loved Newt, Tina, Queenie, and Jacob, not nearly enough of the general public cared about them. Also green lighting 5 movies in a franchise from the start is just an incredibly dumb business move.
I felt that making the story about Dumbledore and Grindelwald was the problem. Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them should have been about fantastic beasts and where to find them and similarly I'd really like a movie or shorter series about Rolf Scamander, Luna, and their twins off on some summer adventure before the twins go back to Hogwarts. Newt filling up his suitcase with animals to rehabilitate and study, rescuing animals from poachers/collectors and setting them free where they belong would make me very happy. Dumbledore and Grindelwald would be good too, and they could have had it on in conjunction with Fantastic Beasts but it definitely should have been it's own series.
@@maraudentium2607 i definitely think that’s where general audiences got confused and stopped showing up, but had the movies been marketed as Dumbledore vs Grindlewald to begin with they would’ve made so much more money than they did. It was just an odd and honestly quite stupid business move to try and merge both storylines together, it just split the audience up too much.
Yes, I need Luna lovegood to be as unhinged as in the books and Ginny to be the Tom boyish bad bitch she is in the books I also need Sassy Harry, law breaking criminal Hermione and Brave Ron like in the books as well. The movies RUINED them.
I'm taking it as something completely seperate from the movies. Those will always have their place, and nothing can change that. I'm honestly kind of excited for the show, because I adore the books so much and the movies have never been the same thing for me.
The point you bring up about the music and Hogwarts design I almost disagreed with as how could Harry Potter ever not have the iconic film scores (mainly the John Williams scores) however the I remembered how much I love the music for the early EA Harry Potter video games (particularly for Chamber of Secrets and Prisoner of Azkaban) as for me they’re almost as synonymous with Hogwarts as the movie score is
Yeah me to. I agree w/ keeping the continuity of the music. That’s its hallmark. As soon as you hear the music, you can feel it coming; anticipate something exciting is about to happen. Keep John Wms beautiful enchanted music for always!
When movies based on a book are being turned into a TV show are being done this is the wrong question to ask. The real question to ask is how different will it be considering the movie got rid of so much material for the 2 to 3 hours movies need to fit material in. The answer makes the upcoming shows completely different from the movie and books while remaining more faithful to the books than the movies ever were. That makes me excited. And in 2000 people were worried about whether or not we needed movies, so... looks like another question is will they do it justice while changing it enough from the original, but not so much that it just the same thing. The way Disney does from the source material (whether you like Disney or not they do [not including live action remakes of their own property. That's different from what I'm talking about]). This is all people claim to want at the end of the day.
I got goosebumps when you suggested it be animated! It would be brilliant!! I’m excited and optimistic about the new HP series, however I have the exact same concerns you’ve mentioned, especially about the new cast being torn apart. Animation would solve so many issues!!
A Marauders film would be kind of boring. They’re a backstory element, you don’t need to tell backstory by its very nature. You could never meaningfully put a single one of them in mortal peril because we know for a fact they’ll survive. It’s the same reason the Han Solo film was low stakes throughout. And there’s just no revelation that can occur because we all know the story already. Lots of people have asked GRRM to depict Robert’s Rebellion (and who knows HBO might twist that one out of him) and he’s just like why? You know what happens? If you like the fanfic stuff just stick with that. Making a film would please approximately nobody everything of importance with that story is already covered in the Harry Potter books and films. It wouldn't show anything new, but it would have its hands tied by the original story. I honestly don’t get this and never have. Because I don’t even know what this series would even be about? It would boil down to being a slice of life school story about bullies. We already know the most of their backstory. They weren’t involved in the war at all until after school. They don’t become Animagi until the 5th year. You could explore the school a bit but we already heavily covered that throughout Harry’s story. And worse. If they deviate from the backstory you have a huge chance that they break established canon and annoy the fanbase. I just don’t understand how this would even be interesting.
Personally I think Harry Potter should have been a cartoon series. No worries of having to get someone who could act and look like the character. Also, no worries of them growing up too fast, but apperantly noone likes cartoons. As for the need of a reboot. Hell yes. I want this series. So, much was done wrong in the movies that many people don't understand what kind of person Ron was or how great Ginny is and why Harry fell for her. As for the movies being a gold standard of how to turn a book into a movie is something I disagree with. Movies 4 and 5 cut out so much it ruined them for me. LotR is more of a gold standard of when it comes to movie adaptations.
There are some many wonderful things they could do with the series! The Marauders, the Founders, Voldemort’s family, Dumbledore’s life, Hagrid’s story, the first war, the other schools, and so much more, why the same movies. I agree we were robbed of a lot with the movies, between the obvious bias against Ron and Ginny’s characters, so much left out or wrong, but a new series isn’t the answer, especially with the current attitude seen on social media. There are already nut job attacking or threatening people on social media over JK’s opinions. Adding in bullying of actors who can never replace greats like Maggie Smith, Alan Rickman, Robbie Coltrane and more is just not a good idea.
I love your idea of doing a Marauders series. I also completely understand all of your concerns. OTOH, I am kind of excited to see a new iteration of the series. I think the movies were great in many ways, but there were so many bad decisions made in translating the books to film. I'm hoping that the series will be an opportunity for a more faithful translation. The biggest thing I worry about is being able to retain the same cast for the entire series. I think it is practically a miracle that the same actors (with a very few notable exceptions) stayed on-board throughout the years-long project - particularly when we are talking about child actors. One of the strengths of the films is that we got to go back and see these same actors playing these iconic roles, and growing up before our eyes. Not just the "golden trio" but all of the other characters as well. I felt that this made the magical world of Harry Potter feel more real and immersive. Imagine if halfway through the film series, Harry, Hermione or Ron was replaced by another actor because the original actor decided to quit the project of left for some other reason. I think that would have really detracted from the overall cohesiveness of the project. But also think it is practically a miracle that this didn't happen. Is this a miracle that Max will be able to replicate?
It'd also be really cool if we get to see more of Ginny than we saw in the books, really show who Ginny was when she wasn't around Harry before she got over her crush on him just to show that she really was always awesome.
First I tought that it would be better to watch the origins of Voldemort, the story of the marauders, the first wizarding war, but now I'm reading the books again and I think that making a reboot is not that bad. We HP fans can see the franchise in another way, as adults that watch again the story that we loved as kids. I am willing to see this reboot
Yes! I've wanted a reboot since the third movie. The cast, settings, and music were all great, but the movies themselves were only ever ok at best. I want to see the story I love, in live action, and faithful to the books. I can't wait for the new show 🙂 After that, or during, they can also do the spinoffs we want. If this show fails because the movie fans don't give it a chance, I'll never forgive them. Lol
One of the biggest problems I have with the idea of a Harry Potter reboot series is that you can’t replace the original Harry Potter cast. Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, Rupert Grint, Bonnie Wright, the Phelps twins, Alan Rickman, Richard Harris, Michael Gambon, and all of the other actors and actresses are so well known for playing the characters that nowadays it’s impossible to imagine new people taking on the roles. Even if this reboot does well, fans will always compare the new cast to the old cast because all of the original cast members are now very famous because of their incredible performances and involvement in the movies. And that’s not fair to the new cast because no one should like to be constantly compared to the person who did the same role they’re doing now.
There's no reason for any reboot. It's ridiculous. I can understand maybe 30 years from now or whatever. But now, when the original actors are still around? What an insult! And that's the whole point.
This whole thing seems like a desperation move. Unfortunately, most major movie studios aren't really in the storytelling business anymore, but the licensing business.
Not you putting Bonne Wright in there lol, harry potter fans have been shitting on movie Ginny since I can remember, now most of it wasn't bonne wright's fault, but she wasn't exactly talented or had chemistry with radcliffe either. I can assure you, not a lot of Harry Potter fans will be outraged by seeing another Ginny Weasley.
No one. Absolutely nobody. From internet criticism to hateful bullying, nobody will ever stop me from enjoying the Harry Potter reboot series. I personally don't give two shits who the actors are, I don't care if it's too soon, and I don't care if some of you'll feel like we don't need it. But I genuinely and really want to see important plot points from the books that never made it into the movies and they can still get away with adding in more storylines for the marauders and founders. Like seriously, why not aim for both? that way you make both parties happy: those who are against the series and those who are for it. Also, I think we should all collectively do less 'worrying about the actors facing bullying' and do more to stop the people who are actually doing the bullying. Some of you guys have to remember that for the actors and actresses, that's their job even if they audition for it. The satisfaction that you want them to deliver is out of their control.
Can’t agree more about an animated series. After snagging the Mina Lima illustrated editions of the first three books, I would LOVE to have an animated series done in their signature style. Since they were the graphic designers for the films there would be a visual and spiritual connection to the previous work while allowing this new animated series to stand on its own.
How about a different spin-off series idea? Picture this: a series focusing on Frank Bryce, the Muggle killed by Voldemort in 'Goblet of Fire.' His story might not seem closely linked to the wizarding world, but it's intriguing. He fought in WW2, worked as the Riddle family's gardener, and ended up wrongly suspected of their mysterious deaths. Just before facing the hangman's noose, he's saved by a medical bill. Years later, Voldemort ends his life. (Here's the twist: Now we get the opportunity to witness the afterlife of JKR's POV) Then, a few months later, he witnesses a boy (Harry Potter) facing the one who killed him. The boy survives. And with skilled writing, this could be an amazing story. Anyone else intrigued by this idea?
Marauders series would be much better. It would be fascinating to see the -backstories of the Marauders. - other stories of the other older characters including lily, snape,Alice and frank longbottom, regulas black, Molly and Arthur weasley, 3 black sisters. Eventhough many of them weren't in the same year it would be nice to see them as side characters. Not to mention we would get much more unrevealed secrets about hogwarts as ofc It's Marauders, 1 Wizarding war and the night of godric's hallow, longbottoms being tortured. As it's a tv series it would be able to touch many background stories
everything of importance with that story is already covered in the Harry Potter books and films. It wouldn't show anything new, but it would have its hands tied by the original story. I honestly don’t get this and never have. So hopefully someone can explain to me what the draw of this is? Because I don’t even know what this series would even be about? It would boil down to being a slice of life school story about bullies. We already know the most of their backstory. They weren’t involved in the war at all until after school. They don’t become Animagi until the 5th year. You could explore the school a bit but we already heavily covered that throughout Harry’s story. And worse. If they deviate from the backstory you have a huge chance that they break established canon and annoy the fanbase. I just don’t understand how this would even be interesting.
The whole point of a spin-off is creating a new but faithful story for a side story/character in the source material. It's covered in the books, But as a side story, it's just what Harry saw.We need it as a full story. How they discovered many secret pathways, marauders map, wizarding war in more details, also movies didn't cover them. We didn't get to see marauders in live action.
The Marauders themselves would be uneventful protagonists. They would make for better side characters as their school life would lack any real plot. If any series of characters should get a spinoff in that era, it should be House Black with the five children of the last generation as main characters, the over arching plot being the first wizarding war. It'd be in a majority Slytherine perspective which would be a fresh experience, and the story would be character-driven with a focus on family dynamics, prejudice and class politics. We can follow the marauders through Sirius but they would be sidelined to side characters, as Sirius unlearning his prejudices would take precedence - same as Andromeda, when she falls in love with muggle-born Ted Tonks. It would contrast well with Bella and Regulus being radicalised. The potential drama the Black family offer and their proximity to the dark side during the first war make for a much better story.
i read both of your comments and i still think there's not enough story there to do anything... however all this talk is pointless Rowling is no allowing anybody to touch anything related to the canon timeline... I can see warner doing something with the founders in the future though. Is the only spin-off that makes sense. It's completely open to a new story and world-building, and it's barely connected to the main story, so the risk of damaging the canon is minimal and Rowling seems to not care that much about making new things if they're not related to the Harry Potte main timeline. If they handle it right, it could be a huge hit and attract different fans other than Potterheads.
I 100% think they will do other spin-offs, they just want to make sure we’re invested first. I don’t want an animated version personally (at least not for this). If there ever is an animated version, I’ll watch, but I think one of the main points is to establish some new faces for the next generation of spin-offs!
I reread the books and imagined what it would all look like in an animated show and it’s legit some of the most fun I’ve had reading these books. It’s a huge shame they’re not gonna do an animated show
I honestly want a Voldy series or movies about other schools or a movie about the 4 founders of Hogwarts!... But i also do want a Harry Potter remake because I want to see the things i didn't see in the movies but i also know that they'll likely fuck it up so.....
I'm reading the novels. Although I want to see every scene in the books to action...a reboot will not work. I was just thinking about this. Interesting to see a video explaining the problem right away. Thanks 😊
Yes. Reboots offer a fresh start with the benefit of hindsight. The Harry Potter movies had a ton of flaws, and a reboot offers not only a new chance with new directors, but new actors as well.
I don’t care about any of your concerns. All I want is GOOD HP content. If the show lives up to that, I could care less about who they cast or if we’re getting recycled stuff we’ve already seen.
As someone who sorted into Ravenclaw house, i need this reboot because i want to see Ravenclaw house exactly like from the novel, like having Blue and Bronze uniform colour instead of Blue and Silver, and Eagle mascot instead of Raven.
The one thing that gives me a bit of hope is Rowling's level of control, which could hopefully mean pursuing artistic incentives instead of just or even mainly financial ones. I really wanted an animated series for awhile, not rebooting the movies so much as readapting the books. Drawing contrasts and going a different direction would be important across the board. That includes animated vs live action, but also having more Scottish, Welsh and Irish voice actors(maybe an Aussie or South African too?), having a couple more characters of minority background(South Asian Oliver Wood?), showing a different side of how characters are presented(like giving Ron his due and bringing Hermione back down to earth, or Snape as not always in control of himself), having Quidditch-centered episodes that are told as sports dramas, giving a different tone(a brighter PoA and darker HBP), adding a bit to the early books, and highlighting the Christian storytelling side of the whole thing, which probably was right not to include in the movies but shouldn't be ignored. It's a shame how much oxygen has been sucked up by unnecessary reboots and sequels in Hollywood generally. It's the same story just at a higher level of technology. Harry Potter could be a different story, let the movies be the movies and try something new.
I really want to see the reboot, I think it could be very good. I hope people aren’t going to hate on it very much. I hope they stay close to the original books though. And that they can make extra series about the characters, like the marauders, but with new actors.
An animated series would work so well actually. Would make some of the more whimsical elements of the worldbuilding easier to integrate, allow for the most creativity with the design of Hogwarts etc, and avoiding the new cast being compared unfavourably to the old cast would be a huge benefit. Had never really thought about it before, but it makes so much sense!
Moody the auror series, yes! Voldemort series, yes! Potter’s parents, yes and yes! Dumbledore! Snape! SO much to take from; even The Order of the Fenix during the Dark Days… there’s a huge world to explore! I don’t understand why they want to do a series of the same story
What we really need is an hour-long film of Arthur Weasley walking around through Muggle London trying to figure out how everything works.
I'm just picturing him acting like Mr. Bean as he awkwardly tries to fix something he accidentally broke.
That would be actually hilarious, i like it. As a supplement to the main tv series
Like a what if series lol. This is an awesome idea.
We need a Marauders Series or Voldemort Series instead

Literally, good animation would fit so well with the magic, plus it would be separated more from the movies
it would have to be 2D though
an anime version would be awesome
Hell no! Not animated.
You know whats up! Ive been saying this for years!
It would allow them to keep the characters from growing up too fast so they can add everything without the time restraints.
A dream prequel for the Wizarding World would be the founding of Hogwarts, and the interpersonal drama between the various founders.
Yesssss, agreed, we so need a prequel for the foumders
My biggest concern is the casting, if they adapt it for "modern audiences" and the overuse of CGI. Making it animated is a pretty good idea!
When you say “adapting the cast for modern audiences,” do you mean changing the characters’ races?
And changing sexual orientations, gender identities etc for the sake of doing it. Like, here is a token brown man, here is a token black girl, here is a token trans character, here is a token non-binary character etc, for no other reason than filling a quota. That is actually more insulting than not including them at all.
Modern audiences -Critical Drinker
God forbid there's some diversity in a potter adaptation, cause that's the real problem lmao. Let's pretend the casting in the movies didn't result in wooden, lifeless performances by half the main characters.
@@stormborns4853 That's your interpretation. Not what I said but go with it if it makes you happy.
Wow...Marauders and Founders story would be awesome
The series is still a couple years away tho
I agree with the point of it being too soon but every time I watch the movies I still feel like I was robbed with everything they left out from the books
As long is it’s faithful to the story and they don’t ruin it I’m here for the show!
That’s why you read the books…
What people fail to undestand is that Harry Potter movies were made by some of the greates directors in the world. These people had their own vision, which is why the movies were a little bit different from the book. This is often the best way to adopt a book - change it a little bit so that the director would be able to show their own version of the story.
HP books have some problems in them and some things are better left out. Hermione being rediculed for starting a campaign for the house elves rights is just... Don't tell me you liked that part of the books. If someone chooses to remake Harry Potter 20 years later - fine. But not now.
I’m still upset how they did Ginny and especially Percy’s arc
Let’s be honest the book that the movies butchered was the Goblet of Fire. It was just distracting!
@@GryffindorScholar Dumbledore said calmly
@masterelight8172 Nah, the movies that were butchered were Goblet of Fire, Order of the Phoenix, and Half-Blood Prince. But Half-Blood Prince book is my all-time favorite book of the series.
@@movies798 i actually love ootp movie better than the book but gof and hbp movies SUCK
I remember seeing Ron characterized well in Order of the Phoenix; Steve Kloves held those movies back.
These moments need to be put placed back so people can see the whole complex character that is Ron.
you really expect them to not fuck over a reboot 💀
@@Godzillafan78 I have hope. Percy Jackson came out pretty good!
I'd be more hyped@@curtislindsey1736
You're spot on saying this should be an animated series. It would be a lovely way to dive into doing a reboot and would actually be something to anticipate rather than be worried about.
No, an animated series would not work as many of the older fans like me don’t watch much animation and even worse Anime. It has to be live action.

Don't forget the battle of the astronomy tower the movies just had Bellatrix. destroy a bunch of plates.
My thoughts exactly
Ugh, I hated Voldemort in the movies. He reminded me of a ballet teacher who thinks ballet is way more important than it is.
Honestly, a Mad-Eye Moody series would be great too, though that might have to be TV-MA, or at the very least push that rating

Sometimes I mix and match the actors with the book versions. For example, I picture a taller Rupert Grint or Daniel Radcliffe with green eyes

Watch the Half-Blood Prince movie. lol
And the thing is for the original trio, their visage is still used in multiple formats. The Universal attractions, merchandise packaging, Lego sets, even knock-off shit, all use Dan, Rupert, and Emma’s likeness’s.

(Nevermind, he brought this up.)
Heck, instead of a reboot, they could make a sequel series about The Golden Trio as adults. You can even use it to make The Cursed Child noncanon!

I would honestly really love if they made a harry potter sitcom, where they show how it would be to be a normal hogwarts student🫶
Me too! ♥
Fantasy just works best with animation, idk why Rowling is against it.

My only complaint with the movies is that there was so much material left behind
Ginny particularly is my favorite character from the books and I don't like how she was left as a boring side character and then a non organic lover for Harry
I agree. An animated Harry Potter series is something I've wanted since the first movie came out. I could even then see how much was missing from the books and saw that it was impossible to get all that without doing it in an animated series. Too bad they don't follow that path now. I think if anything it would have been a success.
Do you want a Heroes of Olympus tv show? Imo it would be the best tv show any of Rick Riordan’s books could offer.
I think a Harry Potter reboot is a good idea. I love Harry Potter, but there are some things in the books that wasn't in the movies. And i would love to see that in the new series. Can't we try to be positive and think that maybe it will be good. Not all filmmakers in the whole world are bad at making series. 🙂❤🔥
My biggest reason for wanting these shows is cause JK said she would not sign off on them doing them unless they included every plot from the books.
“Influenced by wokeness” like how?
@@intrusive-th0t with that he most definitely meant to not do any stupid changes to the looks/personalities of characters as they were originally represented in the books and movies (such as changing the races of characters, making them gay when the original series never did, etc). Fully agree if this had been the case back in 2001 this would have been a blast and as an avid fan of the books I always preferred the book versions 'cause so many things were left out. @@christinamayers3234I totally agree with this. Ginny is my favourite character from the books but the films did her so dirty. I say no. Like you said, the films may not be perfect, but they did an excellent job of telling Harry's story and it would be pointless to tell it all again.
I think the reboot would benefit more for those who didn't really read the books
and the new storyline suggestions people are throwing out would benefit more for those who already read the books or know the books by heart.
@@fated_child9889 I think SPEW, the love story of Lupin and Tonks, as well as Bill and Fleur would be awesome to see. Give us more of Percy and his family fallout.
Ooo animated like spider man would be amazing!! Give artists work ❤
No however I do like Hogwarts legacy. A series based on the first 4 years of the main character would be kinda cool.

Maybe. We need something to compete with that overrated woke mediocre crap and this will remind everyone what good writing actually is.

Yes 100%. I believe max is gonna turn this into the next elite tv show. If it was disney I’d be more concerned
Making a film would please approximately nobody
everything of importance with that story is already covered in the Harry Potter books and films. It wouldn't show anything new, but it would have its hands tied by the original story.
I honestly don’t get this and never have.
I think they should leave it alone 😭
Agreed
But they won't,they just keep milking the cash cow that is Harry Potter
Sounds exaggerative, but I can't bare the thought of a trio of kids that DOESN'T consist of Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint.
The amount of spinoffs they could do is unlimited! But I think a TV series would be great, 8 eps per book! 😃
I’m excited only because I hate how they showed Ginny in the movies so if they make Ginny actually how she was in the books then I’ll be happy
It'd also be really cool if we get to see more of Ginny than we saw in the books, really show who Ginny was when she wasn't around Harry before she got over her crush on him just to show that she really was always awesome.
littrly been subbed since you had 9k subs, insane to see how far your channel has come.
@@Yesica1993 cough cough Disney’s Moana
Not you putting Bonne Wright in there lol, harry potter fans have been shitting on movie Ginny since I can remember, now most of it wasn't bonne wright's fault, but she wasn't exactly talented or had chemistry with radcliffe either. I can assure you, not a lot of Harry Potter fans will be outraged by seeing another Ginny Weasley.
I just want to see a BETTER storyline that COMPLETELY comes out, WORD by WORD, from the pages of the books. NOTHING is left out.
Yes that’s what I want
Although it’s very unrealistic
Nice
I don’t need word 4 word, but I would like plots and details that were cut put back in (Goblet of Fire, Half Blood Prince).
Exactly!
The only hope is the fact it's HBO, that streaming service actually shows love to all the shows they sponsor.
Holy!!! I had not even considered an animated harry potter universe…. Would love to see it one day.
Please it’s an HBO max show not a Disney plus show it’ll at the very least be watchable
Yes, someone has to write a story of Voldemort, from the beginning to the end. He is too much of an interesting villain to ignore.
@@davidjackson9680well, Max made Velma. That doesn’t give me much faith in them.
Miss ravenclaw should of changed her name to eagle claw,
The one thing that gives me a bit of hope is Rowling's level of control, which could hopefully mean pursuing artistic incentives instead of just or even mainly financial ones.
I hope you mean darker tone for HBP and not darker hue. I couldn’t see anything as it was! Lol
I really want to see the reboot, I think it could be very good. I hope people aren’t going to hate on it very much. I hope they stay close to the original books though. And that they can make extra series about the characters, like the marauders, but with new actors.
Yes it will give us the opportunity to explore characters that didn't get enough time to shine in the movies like Neville and Draco
