We Dears had the ultimate kick-ass weekend last weekend when Dimash held back-to-back sold out concerts in Astana Kazakhstan! Each show lasted 3 1/2 hours and they were both incredible! Pretty hard to top that!

Notice at the beginning when Dimash is getting ready to sing you hear the heartbeat slowing down before stopping then Dimash sings its like the passing of life to be greeted by the angels. To me this is the closest you will get to heaven without going there. Even though this isn't the Catholic Prayer version it still gets the message across beautifully

Oh dear, It still never dawned on you that he was not singing what you were expecting. This new Ave Maria came about when Dimash called Igor Krutoy and said he wanted him to compose some music, an Ave Maria, for him to vocalise. Dimash likes Baroque choral music, and this is what he wanted from Igor. So Igor wrote the melody, Dimash composed his vocalise, and this is the result. A totally new Ave Maria, not the song you have heard before, so it wasn't an intro. It's just a collaboration between two exceptional musicians, and it's a stunning piece. I was waiting for it to dawn on you that it wasn't Shuberts' work, but it didn't. Never mind, at least we Dears bought it to you. Dimash and Igor Krutoy wanted to create something that could touch you spiritually without being tied to a religion since as other Dears have mentioned, Dimash is Muslim and Igor is Jewish so this beautiful piece without lyrics I think achieves that perfectly ❤

If I'm not mistaken, this “Ave Maria” by composer and conductor Igor Krutoy is a work in vocalize format, completely unpublished, although it seems to be a variation of the initial theme (not the introduction but the singing part) of the melody by Schubert adapted to Dimash's voice in order to explore just as three initial notes and changing the fourth note to a higher note (From B4, A4 D#4 C#4 and B4 to G#4, G4, G4, D#5): Like a leap from "dark to light" which is the same contrast as Dimash's outfit (from dark to light)! It also seems to refer to the Russian V. Vavilov's version of "Ave Maria" (wrongly credited to Caccine) and work by JS Bach - Prelude No. 1 in C major, BWV 846, with arrangements by Gounod, which Maetro Igor Krutoy has a predilection for!
It is not a sad song but a prayer in hope for us The traditional Ave Maria /ˈa.ve maˈri.a/ means "All Hail Mary" and it is a prayer to Maria the mother of Jesus for the Catholic Church. It is not ONE song: many composers used that prayer as lyrics for their compositions Most people thought this would be the traditional prayer but this is not the Franz Schubert´s Ave Maria, on Bach/Gounod´s, or Michael Lorenc´s or Ave Maria di Caccini. I know them well because I used to play them when I studied to play the piano. His singing this being a muslim in a country where there are almost no Christians would be completely misunderstood. Dimash did a new one composed by Igor Krutoy and I guess that it started to take form from that featuring in "Love is like a dream. It has not lyrics, it is magic using only one vowel and impressing on it the feeling of that prayer.

He sang this song on the New Wave in Sochi, Russia in 2021. This is an international contest for young performers founded by Igor Krutoy in 2002. Dimash sang here as a guest and was also a member of the jury.
Igor Krutoy is a famous Russian-Ukrainian composer, producer and songwriter. His and Dimash's collaboration created true masterpieces. He writes songs that only Dimash could sing with his vocal range (no kidding), like Olimpico, Stranger or Ave Maria. You'll often see him accompanying Dimash on the piano. If Igor Krutoy is there, the song was also written by him. The two have no contract. Their cooperation is based more on mutual trust. It's more of a father-son relationship.
By the way the last note is called messa di voce, according to Wikepedia, a “dynamic singing ornament” on a particularly long sustained note.
It consists of a rise and fall (crescendo, decrescendo) of the vocal volume during the sustained tone, without changing the pitch and other aspects such as intonation and vibrato. In the past, this singing technique in bel canto was often considered the ultimate test of a singer's singing ability.

Olimpico is another masterpiece that Igor Krutoy wrote especially for Dimash’s vocal skills (like so many others). It was written for the 2nd European Games in Minsk, Belarus 2019. And that’s why the lyrics are also very motivating.
This song and this performance from this Arnau concert is my absolute favourite🥰 I think this version is the best, because his performance is so intense and breathtaking. The light show, the background dancers. Everything. With this song in this version I always get breathlessness. The way he represents himself on stage, the hand movements. I think he has incredibly beautiful hands🤭(and apparently many cameramen think so too, since many of the camera shots during his performances very often only show his hands. Sometimes it seems as if he is conducting himself. This is really fascinating). And the facial expression, the look. There he looks so commanding😱. In my opinion, this version of Olimpico is one of the most impressive performances ever. If you don't know what the song is abouyt, you would think he was going to war and motivates his army to fight a losing battle 😅! It’s absolutely stunning. And I don't even mean the vocal part, but also his stage presence. The whole package. Oh wow I’m starting to rave again…🤤 Sorry but I can’t help it🥺. I swear it is mind-blowing 🤯

There have been a lot of Ave Marias composed over the years--this version of Ave Maria was written specifically for Dimash by Igor Krutoy.
An interesting detail--this version is a traditionally Catholic Christian song composed by a Jewish man and sung by an Islamic one. The world could use more of that kind of togetherness.

This version comes from an older version of Ave Maria, instead of the Franz Schubert version, which is the more popular version today.
Dimash has always appreciated the various Ave Maria songs and asked his friend Igor Krutoy to compose an Ave Maria for Dimash’s voice. Ave Maria is a Catholic prayer in song. Igor Krutoy is Jewish and Dimash is Muslim. When we consider these things, this song - earlier than The Story of One Sky - is a wonderful example of how Dimash and his talents aim to unite humanity. Oh dear, It still never dawned on you that he was not singing what you were expecting. This new Ave Maria came about when Dimash called Igor Krutoy and said he wanted him to compose some music, an Ave Maria, for him to vocalise. Dimash likes Baroque choral music, and this is what he wanted from Igor. So Igor wrote the melody, Dimash composed his vocalise, and this is the result. A totally new Ave Maria, not the song you have heard before, so it wasn't an intro. It's just a collaboration between two exceptional musicians, and it's a stunning piece. I was waiting for it to dawn on you that it wasn't Shuberts' work, but it didn't. Never mind, at least we Dears bought it to you. Maybe listen again properly without waiting for the intro to end and you will appreciate the artistry a little better. Maestro Igor Krutoy shared the story of the creation of the work 'Ave Maria' for Dimash.
When writing a hit, Krutoy is guided by the Italian principle: every composer is worth exactly what his latest work is worth, which means that all previous successes and achievements do not count.
“On one of the nights, about three months before New Wave, Dimash called and asked if I could write 'Ave Maria' for him and he explained that he wanted to sing something in that style... Coincidentally, I had a spare evening, and I happily sat down at the piano and, inspired by the memory of the Italian formula of responsibility, worked until I achieved the desired result. It took me a few days to 'let' the composition 'lay' in my ears, soul and heart, and sent it to Dimash, who replied literally within half an hour that: ‘This is exactly what I wanted to hear', said Krutoy. The melody is based more on Caccini’s Ava Maria than Schuebert’s. Dimash and Igor Krutoy wanted to create something that could touch you spiritually without being tied to a religion since as other Dears have mentioned, Dimash is Muslim and Igor is Jewish so this beautiful piece without lyrics I think achieves that perfectly ❤

If I'm not mistaken, this “Ave Maria” by composer and conductor Igor Krutoy is a work in vocalize format, completely unpublished, although it seems to be a variation of the initial theme (not the introduction but the singing part) of the melody by Schubert adapted to Dimash's voice in order to explore just as three initial notes and changing the fourth note to a higher note (From B4, A4 D#4 C#4 and B4 to G#4, G4, G4, D#5): Like a leap from "dark to light" which is the same contrast as Dimash's outfit (from dark to light)! It also seems to refer to the Russian V. Vavilov's version of "Ave Maria" (wrongly credited to Caccine) and work by JS Bach - Prelude No. 1 in C major, BWV 846, with arrangements by Gounod, which Maetro Igor Krutoy has a predilection for!

The traditional Ave Maria /ˈa.ve maˈri.a/ means "All Hail Mary" and it is a prayer to Maria the mother of Jesus for the Catholic Church. It is not ONE song: many composers used that prayer as lyrics for their compositions
Most people thought this would be the traditional prayer but this is not the Franz Schubert´s Ave Maria, on Bach/Gounod´s, or Michael Lorenc´s or Ave Maria di Caccini. I know them well because I used to play them when I studied to play the piano.
His singing this being a muslim in a country where there are almost no Christians would be completely misunderstood. Dimash did a new one composed by Igor Krutoy and I guess that it started to take form from that featuring in "Love is like a dream. It has not lyrics, it is magic using only one vowel and impressing on it the feeling of that prayer.
This so most sublime of all Ave Marias. Just amazing. Dimash is phenomenal. Bravo Dimash for the singing and Bravo Maestro Igor Krutoy for the composing.
