pretty shame when the jedi temple is under attack on ossus the knight and master will defend the padawans and younglins will evacuate this is like a strategy.
And they didn't lost because of their own faults like old older did. They were doing good for the galaxy, hindered, pinned down, but fought to death for hope and their beliefs.
@drazam6608 They tried to ease the tensions between rest of the galaxy and Vong by utilizing Von's advanced bio tech to terraform some devastated planets But One Sith sabotaged that effort and made both Jedi and Vong kinda isolated from rest of the galaxy, and eventually striked them when they were weak Yet this time Jedi kinda *orderly* evacuated while some volunteers(including Cade Skywalker's father) dragged Sith
This is something I would have loved to see : what lead Jaina, the Sword of the Jedi, to leave the Order to create another, and how the Galactic Alliance gradually lost influence to the Fel Empire, while still mantaining good terms for decades.
This is one thing that definitely was better about the EU. At least in the EU the Jedi Order didn't collapse again until after the death of Luke Skywalker, so you can't say that Luke failed.
yes when the sith attack the ossus jedi temple the knight and master were tasked to do the last stand while padawan and younglings are instructed to evacuate the from the temple to another super secret temple. while in canon they are all just being screwed and nobody survived.
The Fel Empire and the imperial knights are such an interesting faction. I like the fact that they’re much more grey, but still largely aiming for good. It’s a shame we won’t get any more of them.
I think it's cool that while we never got an actual answer, the Imperial Knights seem to have been Jaina's project. They were light side but dedicated with the Emporer
Good stuff. The Legacy era is a fun one. Some friends and I actually played a RPG based in the era a couple years ago. We had a good time with it, but as we went, I kept thinking about how much we still do not know. Looking forward to Lucasfilm fixing that in the future!
I need more! The amount of love I have for this era is great. I think Cade is an awesome character. I really badly want to run a Legacy era FFG campaign. It would bring me great joy to play an Imperial Knight. The Imperial Knights are one of my favorite editions to Star Wars lore.
I love the complexities that form the groundwork of the Legacy comics, building on everything that came before and taking things in interesting new directions.
Ok. I think star wars could fix the Sequels if they just kinda gloss over it. But still acknowledge the events. And bring us to the Fel Empire. I think it would be cool if the Mandalorian introduces Mara Jade into star wars. And they have a child together but for one reason or another Luke and Mara split paths so he can train Kylo. And Luke's Child goes on to grow up post first order.
I never knew Neil Patrick Harris had a TH-cam Star Wars Channel. Ryan looks like Doogie Howser MD. Enjoy your candy corn wine. Have you ever thought about doing full books on here? You have a good voice for this better than most of the Audible voices. Even if it was just a chapter at a time that would be cool. Keep up the good content enjoy this video!
Very cool stuff, Ryan. This was one era that I never got into, but it seems quite interesting. Looking forward to learning more! And I’m almost done with the Rogue Squadron series!
Finally, after several years, I will be reading SW: Legacy the Vector storyline when it comes through the mail this week. I have and have read every issue including 0 and 1/2 but without the Vector issues.
Nice video. I love the Expanded Universe. I grew up with the Expanded Universe , mostly because of the video games, the book "Star wars: The new essential chronology" and some comics, like the Thrawn trilogy and the clone wars. I didn't know K'Kruhk was still present during the legacy era. Have a nice morning/day/evening/night.
Iactually based a storyline for a role play centered at 500ABY...gives freedom to branch out and not be held to any true EU Canon characters and make your own.
Legacy was big risk back in the day (i think 2006) but its paid off, its still one the most popular Dark Horse comics...i hope that you will also talk about sequel with Ania Solo, good job Ryan :D
My greatest wish was to see the history between crucible 44 ABY - Legacy Era 135 ABY. So many stories to tell after the main trio gracefully took a step back for the new generation like Jaina, Ben Skywalker to lead the heroes. And most of all I wanted to see Allana Solo Jacen daughter grow up and achieve her destiny. Crucible was just great and respectable end to Luke, leia, and han's story where they didn't fail and die pointless deaths but instead just gracefully retired in their own ages. So many interesting character stories I wanted to see continued. I know we'll never get legends timeline back with disney already invested in their canon but I would be happy if they just restarted the seires that were cancelled like Sword of The Jedi the Old Republic and post legacy. Just let us legends fans have our stories and Disney can have their theme park attractions and movies. There is no reason we can't have both
Never heard of it till now. Still 100% better than the piece of shit sequel trilogys 'first order' that sounds like something you'd do at a drive thru.
As someone who has only read some of the Dark Horse comics, where do you recommend I start with the novels? I haven't read any of the Star Wars novels.
Great vid, would have loved to see more about the imperial mission, but tha's for another story. I would like to see you making a vid about the one sith or how the sith order turned communist.

I like that Luke's Jedi Order lasted over a hundred years in the EU. Unlike how Jake Skywalker's lasted like 6 years in Disney.
pretty shame when the jedi temple is under attack on ossus the knight and master will defend the padawans and younglins will evacuate this is like a strategy.
I think it lasted for 15 years since ben looked like he was 9 when it was established and he was 24 when it collapsed
And they didn't lost because of their own faults like old older did. They were doing good for the galaxy, hindered, pinned down, but fought to death for hope and their beliefs.

It's interesting how Roan Fel is related to the Skywalker bloodline through his grandmother Jaina Solo.
This is one thing that definitely was better about the EU. At least in the EU the Jedi Order didn't collapse again until after the death of Luke Skywalker, so you can't say that Luke failed.
Correct - he was very successful and it introduced a lot of very cool, kick-ass, new force sensitive characters.

The Imperial Knights are awesome and interesting idea.
Yo Fel Imperial knights sound tight af

Blame Disney for discontinue Legacy for creating their own universe of Star Wars.

Legacy Era is the best Era
I love the complexities that form the groundwork of the Legacy comics, building on everything that came before and taking things in interesting new directions.
The Fel Empire reminds me of the Eternal Empire of Zakuul.
The Knights of Zakuul are similar to the Imperial Knights.
Love this era
Same!
Best empire in the EU Star Wars
2:54 - But does that mean that the emperor had to be a force user? If so, what about Jagged Fel, who wasn't (and established all this)?
Long live the Fel Empire, though Jaina Solo and Fagged Fel, honor has been restored to the empire

The Imperial Knights. I miss them 😔😔😔
Rise of the New Galactic Empire. Star Wars. Extended Universe.

Awesome vid. Love the EU
Who do you think would win: EU Vader vs Krayt?
Krayt
Great content man. The old EU has some great stories.
Thank you!
I consider this is “canon”

If were ever conquered I wish it was these guys
what's ruin the fel empire is those moff council these people put so much pressure on the emperor.
