I really liked this video for the raw nature and the lack of people constantly shouting in the background. You could really get a feel for the launch. Thanks for sharing 👍🏻
Derek-Thanks so much! This was exactly how it was for me. Just a surreal experience and the wave of emotion that struck me as the rocket lifted off. I lived in Huntsville, Alabama, for 12 years... so I've been following the Artemis Mission since it's inception and to witness the launch was incredible and know that a lot of my friends from MSFC and various contractors played a role was pretty special.
I've said this before, but there's a solid 2-3 seconds just before the rocket takes off where it feels like it's the middle of the morning, not midnight
Yes... it was so unbelievably bright. We had burn in on our eyes for easily 30 seconds after the big bright ball of light subsided. I didn't expect that.
The sound, the vibration and the brightness of the fireball were all way more intense than I anticipated. It was my first in-person launch and it did not disappoint.
The launch had been in a hold and suddenly it was lifted. We all literally had 10 minutes to scramble from the KSC media center to the peninsula to get the cameras set up. It was still very dark and also very humid. When you go from a cool air conditioned room outside to a warm, humid environment, lenses fog up. This was shot on my iPhone while I was also trying to take in the moment personally. The light from the fireball was so bright it was literally momentarily blinding. Incredible experience.
You don't speak for all of us, the video was fine. Not to mention, there are about 1000 other amateur videos of this event on TH-cam... You'll be so busy watching, you won't have time for petty complaints...
@@codymoe4986 I do speak for my family and all the other people that think the same thing. Don't care about what you're saying, I'm talking about this video not the other ones

Love that you can hear Jack Beyer from NSF in every clip from that location :D
Very cool that you could pick that detail out.
Spectacular 😃👍🏼
"Passez-moi l'antenne" !
is this a public place? which is the name of this place?
It’s the official press site, you only get there with a press accreditation.
What Alleingaenger97 said is accurate. You had to be credentialed media to have access to this location at KSC.
Chattering or shattering?

Ca alors!
Merci d'avoir "mal filmer", cela veut dire que tu regarder la réalité avec tes yeux et non via un écran !
Were you high when you filmed the video? It's totally out of focus...!!

Mais c'est trop mal filmé omg
Elle préférait peut-être regarder la réalité plutôt qu'un écran ?
We don't care about the clock just film the rocket, duh
