I will not believe she made the jam herself. I’m an American home canner. I’ve been canning my own strawberry jam and many other foods for 40 years. There is no safe way to process jam at home in the US with one-piece lids. The lids on Markle’s jam are one-piece lids. In America, only 2-piece lids are approved for safe canning, and once the jars are filled and capped with a lid and band, the filled jars are submerged in boiling water and processed for a designated amount of time depending on the recipe used and the sea level where processing is being done. Those jars are commercially made because they have one-pieced lids and only commercial facilities have the proper equipment, unavailable to home canners, to process the jams safely with one-piece lids.

From a jam maker - that much jam requires about 100 quarts of berries, far more than a home plot would produce at once and picking that many would take at least a day. The you have to clean and destem them, mash, cook, sterilize jars and lids, etc. etc. Megan would never do all that work - nearly a week's worth. It would be almost as much as she's done for her "charity"

Stawberries come into season in May where she lives. It takes around 30 pounds of strawberries to make 50 cups of jam. So it is not believable even if she fake makes it.

You need a lot of strawberries to make 50 jars of jam. Did she grow them in her backyard? I went strawberry picking with my mom and 5 of my siblings years ago. Spent 5 hours picking strawberries. Only made 6 jars. That was the end of homemade strawberry jam!
Strawberry picking is challenging because strawberries often times are planted in the ground. The Strawberries have be harvested at just the right time as they ripped quickly. Strawberries that are ripe now in California are probably planted on long, wide tables in temperature controlled green houses. Strawberry picking from the ground is back breaking work. The berries hide between the leaves, with snails and insects. Don't forget your sun hat and sun screen.

You are absolutely 💯 correct. I'm from So. California near commercial strawberry farms. They just prepared and planted the fields in Orange County. Strawberries are a summer fruit that is very perishable. It takes a lot of strawberries to make 50 8oz jars of jam.

From a jam maker - that much jam requires about 100 quarts of berries, far more than a home plot would produce at once and picking that many would take at least a day. The you have to clean and destem them, mash, cook, sterilize jars and lids, etc. etc. Megan would never do all that work - nearly a week's worth. It would be almost as much as she's done for her "charity"

I don't believe that she even bought the strawberries, and she DEFINITELY didn't make the jam! Can you imagine her actually putting in the work to do it? Hell's bells, NO! Imo, she bought some jam (and there are plenty of people naming a certain brand, something like the Small Batch), and just took off their identifying labels (and probably the lids as well), reheated it (so she could say that she'd 'made' it), then either put it back into the same jars or identical ones, stuck her own labels on, then passed them off as her own 'hard work'. Hell, I bet she didn't even do that much. My bet is that she had someone else do the work, and she wrote the numbers on the jars so that she could say that 'her hand was at work '. Not technically lying, as in she wrote the labels, but still lying if she's claiming to have made it by herself. And there's NO way those strawberries were grown in her 'back garden'! She makes Pinocchio look like the most truthful character ever.

You need a lot of strawberries to make 50 jars of jam. Did she grow them in her backyard? I went strawberry picking with my mom and 5 of my siblings years ago. Spent 5 hours picking strawberries. Only made 6 jars. That was the end of homemade strawberry jam!
Strawberry picking is challenging because strawberries often times are planted in the ground. The Strawberries have be harvested at just the right time as they ripped quickly. Strawberries that are ripe now in California are probably planted on long, wide tables in temperature controlled green houses. Strawberry picking from the ground is back breaking work. The berries hide between the leaves, with snails and insects. Don't forget your sun hat and sun screen.
So she cultivated 70kg of good strawberries to make 50 pots of jam......yeah right
