I had Urban Assault on the Wii when I was a pre-teen and I absolutely loved it! It was such a blast racing through suburbs and crashing through stuff! So nostalgic 🤤
I always appreciate videos that document the history of Monster Jam games. I need to speak my peace on this topic. Ive been a MJ fan since 2000 (i was 4 years old), i also started playing video games in 2000. My first MJ (or monster truck) game was Monster Truck Madness on the PC, it came out in 1996, and the sequal came out in 1999. MJ became its own company in 2000, formerally known as Monster Wars which had Bigfoot, Bear Foot, Snake Bite (ect) all in the lineup. I ALWAYS dreamt of a MJ game where the physics were true to life, a story/career mode with purpose, and the ability to create your own driver and truck, but sadly we have NEVER been gifted that. Year after year we get these games that (imo) mock the beauty of MJ and Monster Truck motorsport. Every other motorsport (NASCAR, NHRA, Supercross, F1 and even Sprint Cars) have as much of a true to life experience and replica of their product as the current tech of the game’s development allowed. I dont see F1 and NASCAR taking their licensed vehicles and putting them in moutains and glaciers, why does MJ do it with almost every single game?? I always played MX vs ATV and Stuntman to fill the void of what i wanted in a MJ game. Eventually i learned about RoR and BeamNG Drive. As much as i enjoy the physics of thoes games, theres no presentation or purpose which makes it put it away after just a few hours of playing it. MJ always makes arcade style games to matket the game to kids, but i too was once that kid and it never appealed to me to be able to drive trucks 100 feet in the air and land with no consequence. There needs to be a change, we have enough arcade material. They need to expand upon the PoD idea they had from 2010, and that was FAR from sim, but its the best we ever got. I’ll always continue to fight for this, i even left a comment similar on IGN’s video review of Showdown. Theres so much they can do but now i feel as if its too expensive to develop a game of a sim nature, so i fear we’ll be stuck will $50 budget arcade MJ games forever. I’ll keep my faith alive tho. If you read all of this, Thank You🙏🏼
Part of my childhood and wanted to see which games I should grab for my older two. Thanks for the video bro! Maximum Destruction was it for me as a kid! MJ 07 feels like the Flatout equivalent and I dig it
Always appreciate seeing quality Monster Jam content. Path of Destruction will always be my favorite Monster Jam game. Played it first on the DS then on 360 a few years later. Urban Assault is a close second even though I only played it on DS. Steel Titans 1 was a game I had hope for and despite being let down with the final game, I still went out of my way to Platinum the game. P.S. Grave Digger
GRAVE DIGGER The only Monster Jam game I ever had was the 2007 one, but I do remember watching people play Maximum Destruction when visiting a family friend growing up. This video has me wanting to try Urban Assault if anything
Grave Digger 🎉 - Thanks to you I'm getting my PS2 out again and trying to get Monster Jam: Path of destruction + Urban Assault and it's part before! Got myself Showdown and Steel Titans 2 but have to admit that the ones above are looking way more fun! Sad that there aren't a big load of real good arcade racers left. Cheers 🍻
Path Of Destruction in terms of gameplay and realism is the best 🔥🌊 I agree it wasn’t over the top but it was very fun plus having the ability to make custom trucks was a bonus! Also 2007 was fun back in the day as well brings back so many memories. You did this video very well 💯 Monster was apart of my childhood brings back nostalgia
Monster truck madness N64 May not feature the monster jam name but it was the early days of monster jam before it was called that. It has all the trucks that competed at the time
Absolutely Not! Maximum Destruction slander will not be tolerated. I know some people will say it's just nostalgia, but not for me I just played the game recently and honestly enjoyed it.
Monster Jam 2007 will always have a special place in my heart. But I'm willing to buy Monster Jam Showdown since it's already on sale on Xbox for like $35
I’ve only played MJ ‘07, Urban assault, and Masters of Metal and Masters of Metal has always tied with Urban Assault as the best due to its presentation and incredible variety of environments and stuff to do, it never felt samey. Only bad things I remember are the physics can be wonky at times and the collision with the environment and other trucks can be iffy but other than that, it’s mostly stellar.
Actually there is a mode that utilizes steel titans open world. There's plenty of open world races, and the thing I like about these games is. You could either play through the open world or the stadium tour mode
I grew up with path of destruction so yes I'm a bit bias however it is genuinely a solid monster jam game, I highly recommend the make it available to newer console like the ps5 where you can play older games or remastsr it specifically for the new consoles
1.) Monster Jam Urban Assualt 2.)Monster Jam (2007) 3.)Monster Jam Showdown 4.)Monster Jam Path of Destruction 5.)Monster Jam Masters of Metal 6.)Monster Jam Steel Titans 2 7.)Monster Jam Steel Titans 8.)Monster Jam Maximum Destruction 9.)Monster Jam Cursh It 10.)Monster Jam Mobile Game 11.)Monster Jam Battlegrounds (Not going off of realism, just how fun they were)
Tbh, I never liked the music in ST1, ST2, and Showdown. Probably because I loved the music from 07 and Urban Assault but they need to bring back the Rock.
Grave Digger. I will always say Urban Assault is #1. The physics are almost nonexistent, but that makes it all the more fun. Monster Jam 2007 is quite difficult to get all the Showroom videos, and POD is pretty glitchy and kind of buggy. (I’ve only played those 3 on the Wii.)
I spent so much time playing Monster Truck Madness 1 & 2 when I was young. Really wish they would get remastered versions. If you have never played them you should try them out. They're abandonware now so its easy to get.
i think the only game better then path of destruction on ps3 was the DS version of Urban Assualt, it nailed the physics and driving feel while still looking great for a DS. i think it was better than all these games, except Monster 4x4 Masters of metal, thats my baby
Monster Jam Showdown, Monster Jam: Crush It! isn't bad for me what Monster Jam Showdown Lacks is there is no freeroam in freestyle and racing... No open worlds to explore and Extreme Freestyle and yes that did bother me a little :( and what else did Monster Jam Showdown lacks is you can't save the truck while on your roof at least Monster Jam: Crush It! you can save your truck while on your roof Why not Monster Jam: Showdown??? *But instead of doing that you reset your truck while on your roof*
Honestly, Battlegrounds & Crush It! are the only ones I don't like, and I don't understand how some of them could be so low, but that's okay. It's your list 😅 As for Maximum Destruction, I agree on the fact that it does feel too slow. The rest of the games? Honestly, the ones made between Masters of Metal and Battlegrounds were okay to me, and I could play them again, but they don't make my favorite list
The thing I absolutely hated about masters of metal Was that there was trucks on the back cover that you couldn't unlock. Apparently they were only available in the japanese version of the game I played for so long trying to unlock those trucks
crush it looks like its doing that thing that shitty driving games do sometimes where they increase gravity a ton to make the cars stable but its basically never fixes the core problem of just shit handling
I thought steel titans 2 had some of the worst physics Like ok I'm playing on switch but it constantly feels like I'm driving on ice super floaty where as in the ogs up to path of destruction the physics were either spot on or super close
For each of these games time you may say it’s bad but just like monster jam steel Titans in 2019 you can complain all you want but you know damn well you still playing that game, same goes with path of destruction, masters of metal and maximum destruction.
The tracks are so shitty on Showdown. They're super cluttered and the trucks float WAY TOO MUCH!!! It's sad cause Showdown has the biggest roster and best looking trucks but people want to play a Monster Jam game that replicates what they see on the track and this is nowhere near it! Milestone could've made actual stadiums and arenas that the fans are familiar with and tracks that are modeled after the actual tour tracks. Showdown is awful and they should've stuck with THQ and Rainbow for a Steel Titans 3
Showdown is an extreme disappointment to me. Felt like driving on the moon, every truck sounded and controlled the same, was very repetitive and the music was god awful and annoying. I dont even know it they had more than 3 songs.

Great video bro, I got my first platinum trophy ever today with quake 2. Good day for both of us ❤
Monster Jam: Maximum Destruction & Monsters 4x4 is my top two favorites. I LOVED playing them as a kid back in the day.
Grave Digger !
Amazing video man!
I remember the first Monster Jam games that I played were Urban Assault and Path of Destruction, good times!
Brother!!!! What a great video!! Truck yeah!!

Huh Monster Jam is a funny way to spell Kingdom Hearts
Monster truck madness N64 May not feature the monster jam name but it was the early days of monster jam before it was called that. It has all the trucks that competed at the time
The truck selection on 07 was great it had all my favorite trucks
Absolutely Not! Maximum Destruction slander will not be tolerated. I know some people will say it's just nostalgia, but not for me I just played the game recently and honestly enjoyed it.
seeing this thumbnail I'm just like
wow Grave Digger is the only truck
Maximum destruction is my childhood game
Grave Digger!!! I agree Path Of Destruction is my all time favorite as well, it just does everything better.
Monster Jam 2007 will always have a special place in my heart. But I'm willing to buy Monster Jam Showdown since it's already on sale on Xbox for like $35

Take a shot every time Jonathan says “decent”.
Who remembers the montser truck named The Master of disaster? (: ? Ol skool sht
As a Whale I approve this list, I grew up playing it on the ds.
18:50 Bruhhhhh what did the soundtrack do to you lol
I would rate Steel Titans 1, Steel Titans 2 and Showdown a bit higher just because they were the games I played the most often
1. Urban Assault
2. Maximum Destruction
3. Path Of Destruction
4. Monster Jam (2007)
5. Showdown
6. Steel Titans 2
7. Masters Of Metal 4x4
8. Steel Titans
9. Battlegrounds
10. Crush It
5:48 Did you mean to say Crush It?
I grew up with one specific game on Wii. Couldn't tell you which one.no clue
path of destruction is totally tubular
I'm 33 years old and am still waiting for a decent console game. I think they've missed the mark on every game.
This is a great video, but you gotta slow down with your script. You speak fast and sound robotic
My favorite was that goofy PS2 game that was like twisted metal.
crush it looks like its doing that thing that shitty driving games do sometimes where they increase gravity a ton to make the cars stable but its basically never fixes the core problem of just shit handling

i know this is a monster jam game list but still monster truck championship in conparison
Grave digger and big foot… but grave digger is numero uno
For each of these games time you may say it’s bad but just like monster jam steel Titans in 2019 you can complain all you want but you know damn well you still playing that game, same goes with path of destruction, masters of metal and maximum destruction.
Twisted Metal was a lot better when it first came out. Monster Jam has always just seemed, too cheap to me? 🤷♂️👍
I’m bout tired of the first monster jam game getting so much hate
I ain't saying she's a grave digger
Grave Digger
Where is Monster Truck Madness? I was growing up with this game *caugh caugh* ;)
Grave Digger.
The second on look like a online game 😢😢😢😢😢😢
Grave Digger!!!
Rigs of rods is the best. ( Sim-monsters )
I always wondered why the 2007 game was released on Xbox 360 but urban assault wasn’t.
I can’t do the backflip in monster jam crush it it is broken
Grave digger
I never knew games like this exist 😮
The name of your channel is way too big. Change it to "Totally Tubular."

Path Of Destruction is overrated
