Miguel Mora Hi Miguel...Old school Corolla's are hard to find these days, specially in really good condition, and non-modified. If you do find one that is for sale, and that is in really good shape and not abused, definitely jump on it. They are beautiful cars, never go out of style, and never die (as long as you maintain them). Keep your eyes open...you never know...you might find a really good one out there for a good price :) When you do, post a video and share it...would love to see it. Good luck.
Beautiful car, sir! My first car was a 1982 Toyota Corolla SR5 Liftback, 3TC w/5sp trans. Bought it for $130 back in 1995 and learned to drive on it and sold it later for $100 in 2000. Wish I had kept it but I loved it for the time I had it! By the way, I totally recognize the Buckman Bridge lol. I grew up on the Westside there, 14 years. I remember when the Buckman was still a 4 lane setup! Take care :)
Thanks cyb3rgh0st z3r0! Glad you like my ride. Yes, wish you would've kept your 82 Corolla Liftback...the old school rwd Corollas are real hard to find these days, specially if they are in good shape. And yes, you are correct about the Buckman Bridge...lol...it was only 4 lanes back then. I moved to Jax in June of 92 and since then, Jax has changed dramatically! Thanks for your kind comments, and feel free to share my video and subscribe to see upcoming new videos. Take care :)
@@pastimevideos9779 Absolutely man! You're about to have another subscriber and fan! Yeah man Jax has changed so much I barely recognize my old neighborhood anymore. Part of it is actually the Lowe's now by Cassat and I-10 lol. Anyways I live just a half hour SW of Jax now in Bradford County, Starke. I hope this isn't too forward but I am still a huge fan of those old Corolla's (hell we have a 98 Corolla now that looks horrible but won't stop running lol?) and if I'm in and around Jax and ever see your car, I would love to meet and look at your car if possible. I haven't seen any of those old Corollas around since I got rid of mine in 2000! That's nearly 20 years, and I bet you got the only one left in Jax, that is as nice at least. Matter of fact I think I still might have my old original Factory Service Manual in my boxes of books. Do you know the one? It's a light green cover and tells you literally EVERYTHING there is to know about that car! I think I read that thing cover to cover a dozen times over the years I had my car. Learned that sucker inside and out! That car was the first one I ever rebuilt the carb on, rebuilt the manual trans when we lost a gear and had to pull a used one at a salvage yard in Gainesville (that trans cost me $35 back then lol) and put one good trans together from the two, first time I ever changed axle bearings, driveshaft carrier bearing and U-joints, first time changing the entire timing set and replacing an oil pump, and the countless trial-and-error modding and testing to see what made more power and what didn't. I am a modder by nature. I mod mostly tech and radio stuff, but anyways I remember discovering a nice kick in the butt power mod by converting the vacuum secondary on the carb to open with the throttle instead of by engine load (vacuum) and my dad was so impressed. All it took was some thinking and ONE zip tie to do it! Dad loved driving that little car (it was the family car for a time although it was technically mine to do as I wanted with within reason of course lol) after I made some of the mods. He watched me learn most of what I know today on that car. It will always have a special place in my heart and I really wish at 20 years old I had thought ahead and kept the car. After all the $100 I got for it could have easily been made another way legally. *sigh* We live and we learn, right? Anyways, I really didn't mean to ramble this much lol. But I don't mind continuing the conversation if ya wish. Take care man and I look forward to hearing back and/or new stuff! :-)
@@pastimevideos9779 Also, I just remembered I used to have some old obscure Toyota performance and racing books that I had got back at Chamblin Bookmine right there on Roosevelt and Lake Shore back in the late 90s, and they talked about the 2TC engine mostly, because the books were from the 70s, but I'm sure you know there is virtually no difference between the 2 and 3TC engine other than bore and/or stroke. Point I'm making is that in one of those racing books they talked about a special version of the 2TC engine that was either single or dual overhead cam, and it was called the 2TG! I have not been able to find info on that sucker and unfortunately I lost those books not long after the car was gone. Man when I think back on that stuff I really miss those days with the ole SR5. Anyways just wanted to add that! :-)

Lenny Pinto Lenny, I have a friend that her car club has the same banners I have and the ones you're looking for. I called her up in NJ to find out where they got it, and she told me they ordered it at a place called "Galaxy Printing", and its in Newark NJ. Google it to see if they have a phone number and/or a website. Hopefully you can get your banner from them. I have a few friends down here in FL that have lots of old school parts, so if there is anything in particular you need, let me know....they might have some. Keep in touch :)

They have a old school toyota swap meet in Bridgeport ct once a year. You can find some good stuff there sometimes. +Kange FIN Its understandable Kange.....not everyone has the same taste. This look is the Old School Puertorican 1980's/1990's look/style. Ask any old school puertorican, and they will tell you. Some restore them to original stock look, others like to keep the old school modified look....Me, I preferred the "old school" look.....though, I still have ALL the original parts of it that if I ever want to get it back to stock, I have that option too. In the mean time, I've been getting 99% positive comments about it....plus, it's the look I've always liked....it's been liked that since a year after I bought it back in the 80's :) Thanks again for your inputs. :)

She's super clean!!! I know u hurt people's feelings with those seats & custom kit(tastefully done for the time period). Nice wheels. They gotta b tha cleanest set in tha US. Much better choice than those Primes or Hammers. Great install. Aside from the radio i bet it still holds its own against newer installs. Perfect example of a rolling time capsule that takes people back to days past. Overall excellent job. P.S i like the factory rear view mirror and no tints
Thanks for your comments and glad you like it Mr Kellz :) And true, many people get disappointed with the custom interior and body kit, but, that's how they were hooked up back in the days...old school Corolla's! lol From the wheels to the custom trunk stereo system, it's all old school look....keeping it like the way it looked back in the days. Like what some people say, a "time capsule"....lol
+Mountain Comet Hi Mountain Comet! If you want to look for an old school corolla, I highly recommend try to find one that has been in the South most of its life. This is because back in the 70's and early 80's, the bodies of the old school Toyota's were not that good in regards to the type of preventive corrosion measures....they rusted easily if they lived in the North where it snows a lot. So keep that in mind! Also, go to 3tcGarage.com....its a forum site of old school Toyota's, where people post cars for sale, parts for sale, tips and tricks, etc. You never know, you might find one there that you like :)
+BIGSARGE64 Thanks BIGSARGE64! I know there are haters out there....but, it is what it is. The positive comments out weighs the negative ones...lol. Many people just don't understand the real "Old School Toyota" look. It's a classic, and that's how I'm planning on keeping it. Again, Gracias!
Damn.... if it was still completely stock, that thing looks like it'd STILL be even more badass than the blue '89 sedan my mother had for most of the 2000's...
lol...well, I have all the original parts in my garage if I ever want to put it back to stock.....maybe one day. :) Thanks for your comments Schwenda....feel free to share if you like :)

Front/rear from Nissan Maxima (modified), side skirts from 1984 Corolla GTS 1984 (modified), rear trunk wing from 1990 Honda Accord. Had to use my imagination/skills/ideas for a body kit for my ride that would look nice. Had to do a lot of cutting/molding/adjustments in order for them to fit my ride. There are no body kits for these old Corolla's :(

Gracias Jesus.

Lot of memories....I remember how some of my friends use to tear up their SR5's because they'd practice their gear shifting on nearly any road or hill side they could get their wheels on. After so much abuse by these "fiebrus", it didn't take too long to get them reduced to rolling piles of scrap...I must say they were pretty fun though....I'm glad some people took care of them, I've not seen one in a long time.
lol....that is true TropiCool! Some of my friends dogged the hell out of their Corollas, drifting and burning rubber. Not me....I've pampered my SR5 since day one. And because of it, I still have it today to enjoy it, and have other's to reminisce the good old days :) Glad it brought memories to you!
Que Chulada de Corolla, I always liked the SR5 Trucks & Corollas. Wish I had kept my 92 Corolla mom gave me, but I have my 98 Corolla, I wont be selling that one, no matter how much someone needs a car.

Yes, I understand. Finding old Corolla's in "good" to "great" condition is going to be a challenge. 1970's/1980's Toyota's were bad when it came to rust resistant body parts...they rusted out fast if you lived anywhere near the ocean, or snow :^( But, don't lose hope....you never know!

And about my 4 pioneers on the back, they are the legendary Pioneer TS-202..not the 205's. The 205's looked a little similar to my 202's, where they were 8 inch speakers too. Either way, all of the Pioneer TS-200's line were amazing, and HARD to find these days...lol. Anyway, glad you like the ride! Thanks again!
lol....thanks Timothy! I'll be uploading new videos/pics pretty soon. We have a small club down here where I live where my friends have old school Corolla's ranging from 1969 up to 1986.
Sick ride homie from SoCal califas
Thanks! :)
Damnnnn.. that's clean its like it's stucc in time.. real 1980s dope boy look lol. Chrome wit the bmw kit on it. Thanks for showing us this ride you do NOT see this any more. I'm a 95 baby too young to see these but I heard stories and seen pics of these babies.. reminds me of New Jersey Drive lol

Thanks MrShak86! Glad you like my ride :)
Thanks vic im going to look into it. I love the old school stuff. I can remember all the clubs back then rocking the banners. If you have a email or other way ill shoot you some pics of my Toyota's. Its always cool to find like minded people. Mine are being made to cruise and look good doing it.
PastimeVideos
im deffinetly going to look into it. Thats awesome help. The old school parts are getting harder and harder to find. They have a old school toyota swap meet in Bridgeport ct once a year. You can find some good stuff there sometimes. Shoot a email to jazlen8481@gmail.com and ill send some pics of the Toyota's im working on. Thanks again for the help.
Lenny Pinto I have a few friends that go to the swap meet up in CT. I haven't been there myself, but would love to check it out sometime. I too love the old school Corollas...the never go out of style for me :) Anyway, hope you are able to get your banner. I will shoot you an email today so you can send some pics of your Toyota's. Keep in touch.
This little car is great, brings back lots of memories.
Thanks Jesus! Glad you like my ride and that it brought you back lots of memories :)
Compa!
That's a sweet ride. I had a 1983 Toyota Corolla SR5. Mine wasn't even close to what you have there but, I did enjoy that car a lot.
I was 23 years old. I used to call it "El Tumba Pantis"!
Saludos mi pana!

true oldskool!! vieja escuela baby!!! I love 90's look on it... keep it that way don't change a thing!
Thanks goofesgts! I can honestly say, it took me loooooong years to finally get it where I wanted it to look, and I'm done :) This is the final cut of of my creation! lol
I used to have the same car mines was an 81 though sold it a couple of years ago. I regret selling it
Ugh!!! Hector! You should've kept your 81 Corolla! They are hard to find these days! :( Specially these Corolla SR5's...not that many out there :(
Wow Hermanazo. De Show..!!! Tuve una LiftBack SR5 1981 Azul obscuro, con 4 American Racing y TA B-50, Pioneer KP9000 con esos mismo Woofers. Te felicito por mantener el carro en esas condiciones.
Robert Bonilla - Las Piedras, PR
Luis Roberto Bonilla Gracias Robert!
Very nice Corolla. I bought the 50th anniversary Corolla and I will tell you this Toyota puts nothing but love in there cars. If you get a chance and if you can find a 50th anniversary Corolla you need to check it out.
Thanks Joel Harris! Glad you like it :) I'll check out the 50th Anniversary Corolla. Thanks for your comments :)
I wish i have a car like that.mine is 1991 toyota corolla gts and 96 corolla
Victor, ese Corollita esta de show. Lo clasico nunca, pasa de moda.
Gracias Christian! Y es verdad....lo clasico nunca pasa de moda! Y si, mi Corollita es solamente de show, y de ves en cuando para chuliar en los fines de semanas. Lo cuido mas que a mi mujer....lmaooooo
Love it bro. 👍 just bought an 85 corolla dx to start work on. Can't beat an old school 5 speed.
Thanks Doug! Glad you like it! And keep that 85 Corolla you bought...they are hard to find these days :)
Nice car boricua. Tremendo trabajo y la bocina. Como olvidar primo.
Gracias Manuel! Me alegro que te guste el trabajo que hice en mi Corolla.
I agree, back bumper looks a lol not off. it's a beautiful, clean car great color and homeboy looks like he takes good care of it.
Glad you like it Wally! Thanks for the comments. :)
:o wow!!!! that engine's like modified and it is so clean....you're one of the good guys having this old school car..
+jesimig paneda Thanks for your comments jesimig paneda! It is an old school ride, and I've pampered it all my life...still riding smooth and nice :)
I'm a 44 y/o Black man from Camden, NJ & this 1.8 Corolla ("Point Eight Yote", as we call them) would be legendary RIGHT NOW in my city !!! Equivalent to a Benz coupe to everyone over 38 !!!
lol.... I have lots of friends up in NJ that are into these old school Corollas :) Thanks for your comments leosrule726, and glad you like my ride! :)
Beautiful Old School Toyota Corolla
Thanks Eddie! Glad you like it :) Share with your friends and fiebru's! :)
SALUDOS DESDE GURABO PUERTO RICO WOW PARECE QUE ESTABA EN UNA CAPSULA DEL TIEMPO QUE RECUERDOS ME TRAE DE MI JUVENTUD ESTA BELLO DIOS TE BENDIGA SIEMPRE Y A ESTE HERMOSO TOYOTA!!
Yolanda! Gracias! Me alegro que te gusto mi Corollita. Lo tengo como una nena desde que lo compre en el '84....nunca a sido chocado (GAD), y nunca queme gomas con el tampoco....solamente para chuliar en la calle y competir en los auto show.....jaja :)
Nice, you really built that 'rolla round you! i'll do the same to one of mine one day (both rusty pigs, one's a ae82, the other is a ke70)..
Also, more vids! find a local 'rolla cruse meetup! make them other owners jealous of your car! :P
Holy shit man! Bringing 90s nostalgia when they put the Twin Cam and 1.8s with low body kits, your just missing the Louvers
+Original Username lol.....I have the Louvers in my garage....original "Shadow" Louvers. I just took them off so that my old school Pioneer Speakers can be seen better from a distance. But, yep, these are the old school Twin Cam and 1.8's! :)
I love the speaker setup that's the way we used to do it in the 80s
You got that right break boytee! It's the 80's look that made these old school Corolla's famous! And that's how I kept mine....looking like it has been in a time capsule for everyone to reminisce the good old days :)
Just seeing this ! MUCH RESPECT BROTHER ! ! ! !
Thanks for your kind comments cartoonist1975! :)
Mate good on you! That's one good example I've seen in a long time.
Thanks for your comments Markat Ali! Glad you like my ride. Please share and subscribe....more videos coming soon :) Thanks again!
That's really a nice car Victor i remeber back in the days old school toyota.i had a 1981 toyota celica with 14 of those old school pioneer they sound so nice and clear i still got pics of it.good luck with it
Ricardo Ramirez Thanks Ricardo! Back in the days in the 80's, that's what all the
Corollas used to have...the Pioneer speakers...and yes, they sound
amazing! The look so good too! Do you still have any of the Pioneers
with you?
No i dont have any of those pioneer with me anymore
Classic Doble cushion seats and the 4 Pioneer 8 inch subs love it and the best thing is this car is super rare to find this days 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽
Nathatanael Cruz, thanks for your comments and glad you like my ride. And yes, it's true that these rides are hard to find these days, specially in this condition. I've owned my '82 Corolla for over 32 years now, and have pampered it since day one! lol Again, thanks for your comments and please share/subscribe :)
Ok mi compatriota 🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷
Personally can't appreciate the look but great job on keeping that thing pristine! Spotless...
+Andrew Kakalia Thanks Andrew!
Timeless classic brotha, I love it!!!
I love it brother, I need to find those rear deck pioneers. Even if is just the covers.
i personally hate bodykits like that on older cars :(
+Kange FIN Its understandable Kange.....not everyone has the same taste. :)
+PastimeVideos I love it bro so clean I had 2 Corolla a 73 & 74 I kept them stock but extremely clean..Had to give ya shout-out bro love the ole school Toyota's
This one compliments the style of the car pretty well. Makes it look like a widebody race car from that era.
Yo old school always better than new school I had a 86 Nissan hardbody p up low rider it had the kenwood pull out radio with 4 15s I miss that truck wish I’ve keeped it born and raised in Miami.sweet ride old school for life
You got that right Roger! Old school anytime of the day before new school! And yes, I remember the lowrider nissan pickup trucks back in the days....they looked sweet!!!
Like what some people say, a "time capsule"....lol
lol I'm 19 and i'm trying my hardest to find one of these i love them to death i want one so bad
That is one nice looking car, PERIOD! Haters will hate, is what they do. Papa, el carrito esta acicalao. Que lo disfrutes
Sweet ride all around, brings me back!!
Thanks Luis! Glad you like it and that it brought back old school Corolla memories :)
It's good you kept thee car so nice we have a 99 it's been through 16 terrible Canadian withers with 299 500 km or 180k miles on it. And our car isn't in the greatest of conditions.
JDM Toyota Thanks for your comments JDM Toyota! I love the old school Toyotas...these babies do not not die....lol. And 180k miles on your Toyota is nothing...they keep going and going! Keep yours up...you'll see, it won't let you down :)
I love your car. I remember cars like this in Puerto Rico. Wow !!! Regards from Tampa Bay!!! 😎🇵🇷
Glad you like it Efrain! This is my baby, from the 1980's old school Corolla era :)
Is that a 87 - 88 Nissan Maxima body kit? The bumpers look similar
There are no body kits for these old Corolla's :(
I love your car, still looking great. Love the detail.
+Ben Murphy Thank you Ben!
sweetest ride ever. great job.
+nigel mahabir Thanks nigel!
This is how the import started. Everything had to be custom made. Then in the 90s Honda’s started coming in.
That is correct! It all stated in the 80's.....and I kept my ride like a time capsule, keeping it old school :)
I love this Car
I also Recently Bought this car in Diesel Engine
Its a Smooth Ride
Ahmed Imtiaz Thanks for your comments Ahmed! :)
yo tenia uno del 80 la verdad que se ve clean clean esta muy bonito y original q es lo mejor
Gracias Felix! :)

Thanks for your comments Hachi-Roku....glad you like it :)

+Elis Burgos Thanks Elis!
I live in Florida.
Damn am jealous of this ride.i want to keep my Hyundai azera 2006 so in the next 20 years I can bring it back on the road it's one of the beautiful luxury cars Hyundai made in 2006 with 262 up.. kudos man your corolla is sick
Thanks for your comments Nana Kwame! Glad you like my ride :)
TropiCool r
Que lindo! Nunca tuve uno así, pero tuve uno del '91 y otro del '99 :)
Saludos desde Río Piedras!
Gracias trdjunkie! Saludos a todos en la isla!! :)
Great stuff and perfectly entertaining.
Glad you like it Malayna56 :)
Que Chulada de Corolla, I always liked the SR5 Trucks & Corollas. Wish I had kept my 92 Corolla mom gave me, but I have my 98 Corolla, I wont be selling that one, no matter how much someone needs a car.
Thanks for your comments Mito Marquez, and glad you like my Corolla! And yes, don't get rid of your 98 Corolla! They are really nice and great rides! This was my very first Corolla I bought when I was 19...many, many years ago...lol....yet I still have it. I always get offers of people wanting to buy my Corolla, but I will NEVER sell it! Its my weekend toy, and love to drive it :) Thanks again for your comments and feel free to share/subscribe :)
I can smell the blossom pastilla from here. 😂
lol...you know it!
Ive developed an obssesion over 80s corrolas especially hatchbacks they look meaannn
Hi Josh! Well, I love ALL 60's, 70's and 80's Corollas! The bad thing about it is that they've become real hard to find these days, specially is real good condition. Hope you are able to find one, and if you do and is in good condition, GET IT! Fix it, tune it, and have her ready for the road and shows :)
@@pastimevideos9779 over in New Zealand we have PLENTY of classic Japanese cars so finding one shouldn't be a problem :^)
Good condition will be the real challenge however. Old corrolas aren't really ones for being kept tidy
Looking for one to use for my first project car
Yes, I understand. Finding old Corolla's in "good" to "great" condition is going to be a challenge. 1970's/1980's Toyota's were bad when it came to rust resistant body parts...they rusted out fast if you lived anywhere near the ocean, or snow :^( But, don't lose hope....you never know!
One sweet ass ride bro!! 10+
Thanks nigel mahabir! Glad you like it. Feel free to share :)
I remember this is how they you to ride them in Nashua New Hampshire back in the early 90's
Remember man you gotta please all these Pendejos That tell you what to do with your car Lmao. Can you imagine going to a car meet and everyone has the same car lol.Looks Good Especially the Oldschool Audio.
hahaha!!! You got that right V8vortec98!! Those that don't know the history of the "Old School Toyota"s" are all "Pendejos" lmao!!! And yes, imagine going to a car meet and everyone had the same car!! What a boring car meet would that be!! hahaha! Thanks for your comments, and glad you like my ride V8vortec98!! :)
True...
thats a badass ride my friend!
Thanks Mr. Karataebird99! Glad you like it :)
It's a very nice 80's style... Like it
Alec Findlay Thanks Alec!
brings me back to the Bronx and tito Rojas. back in the days hunts point race memories
fullpeladas! I used to go to the races back in the days in the Bronx! I lived in Brooklyn, by Jamaica Ave.....those were the good 'ol days! lol!
whao that's kool back in the days. like your ride don't see them hard to find. remember the goose neck EQ 65 blaupunkt. those pioneers are the tsw-205
Hi fullpeladas! Glad you like my ride! Thanks! And yes, I do remember the goose neck EQ 65 by Blaupunkt....wish they still make them today...they were bad!
Wow u look 39 cool i have a gray one that runs like a champ hope to see more of this car one cool ass guy with a cool as car
lol....thanks Timothy! I'll be uploading new videos/pics pretty soon. We have a small club down here where I live where my friends have old school Corolla's ranging from 1969 up to 1986. One of my friends has a nice and sweet modified 1975 Corolla, another has a 1982 Corolla wagon (nice also, mostly stock), and a 1969 Corona, bone stock too. These old school Corolla's are becoming rare, and when you see one on the road, ugh! They are sweeeeet! Love them all! lol. One of my newer friends has a 2015 Corolla hooked up really, really nice! I'll see if I can get pics of them and post it also. Any info you want to know about these old school Corollas, feel free to let me know. :)
Beautiful car bro
Thanks Arsalan! Glad you like my ride :)

Thanks Samnang!

Wanna hear the 🎶 🎶 Those old school pioneers
Not quite my taste but goddamn the work done is seamless. Badass cruiser for sure
Thanks casey!

Nice and clean.
