Such was the wizardry of this great wizard of music ! Those, who have missed it, have missed many things in their lives !

The great Khan Saab was singing this ghazal with his heart out. 'Zamane bhar ke gham ya tera gham; ye gham honge to kitne gham na honge.' In this couplet penned by the great Hafiz Hoshiarpuri Saab, the great Khan Saab's modulation of his divine voice was a treat to listen. It was possible only for a singer of his caliber and stature. Will there ever be another singer like him? I don't visualize any possibility in the foreseeable future.

So true, it is forty years since I heard this set of ghazals on a Memorex cassette that was passed on. It is a treasure. And each time it is as mesmerizing as it was the first. I'd place him several notches above Jagjit Singh.

Sahi kaha bhai.. Par Try karne do nehi toh log sikhenge kaise??aise masihe ko log sunenge aur thora bohot gane ke koshish karenge .. Par post nehi karna chahiye..
