Letter Beans is a great company. Been using them for a while now. I've also recently subscribed to Toastal, which is Toast by Post. The two work really well together and provide me with a nutritious meal any time of the day. Highly recommended. In a bit (slaps camera) 👍
How could you resist the 'independent external account building transparent internal space comfortable camping'?! Sounds awesome! Also, who's using a flamethrower in the background?
Hey Ben! I absolutely love the sponsor, where do I sign up?! 😂🤣😂 I really do love the look of that tent, Naturehike really do make decent tents! There’s so much room in it and even the pockets are well thought out! Be lovely in there come winter! For the record your “squirrel” scared the sh!t out of me! 😂🤣😂🤣😂
I have the two person, it's an amazing tent. I love that you have the option to sleep four but you can also take out one of the sides if you were doing a long stay with just two people. This is what I do more often than not and it becomes a great little living room during the winter.
To turn the stove down you need to partially close the air slots beneath the door. You shouldn’t have it so hot that the chimney glows - that will melt one of those rubber stove jacks (now I wonder how I found that out?)!
Thanks Ben for this excellent video. Not many UK TH-camrs do hot tent camping so please keep doing these. I hope you will take this out in the depths of winter surrounded by snow. Is that living area big enough for two people to sit and chat sat on chairs around the fire? I was quite concerned at how hot that pipe got, and there was no spark arrestor at the top, and no way to guy line that pipe in case of heavy wind (from the elements, not Letter Beans) great video. Thank you
In winter on the fist -20 Fahrenheit I definitely go camping. I also go out when I know there's going to be a snowstorm because it's beautiful. Hot tenting actually sucks unless it's minimum four-person tent. Even then, it's actually pretty lame and too freaking hot. Just get the right layers and sleep system and it'll work out. 🍻 from Minnesota
Your sponsor might be a bit uncertain about your bean impersonation at 20:52 Daley 😉... I've had mushy peas today, so I won't be able to get to bed until after my 'crop spraying', so the fright you gave me has got things approaching the exit ramp! 🤗 Glad you liked the combo you bought, that is a great price ✌️
Like the look of that tent 👍 defo get a spark arrestor mate and wouldn't really recommend heat log as they get too hot and warp the titanium. Also try to only burn dry well seasoned wood - minimize sparks and not pine - too much resin will block ur chimney 👍
I was just about to say the same thing about those logs. I spent a week doing the river Spey in my canoe 🛶 the other week. Hot tent made the trip a lot more comfortable, fun, enjoyable after a day paddling

Make sure if you ever burn wood in that stove that you put a spark arrestor on top of the pipe so embers don't shoot out and catch things on fire. Especially your tent while you're in it.

Great review. Been thinking about a hot tent but overall cost just too much to justify. This tent and stove seem great value, so maybe I’ll think again. Thanks again, nice work.
I have sued a single skin teepee design hot tent and a thouwinds stove. Its usually so hot i have to sleep with the door open to regulte the temperature
So you think you can do the old grizzly Gaz red light “something is outside the tent jump scare trick” , Eh?? lol great video. As a Canadian bloke who hot tent camps a lot in extreme cold temps I think your stove was too hot meaning damper it down using the pipe and air flow vents. This will control the heat a bit better. Also don’t use those bagged logs, use hardwoods they burn cleaner and more efficiently. I always get a laugh out of your videos and still can’t sometimes tell if you’re serious or joking. I think it’s a combo of both!! Good stuff mate. Look forward to to seeing you hot tenting but in real cold!! 🥶
interested. will have to wait a while though, it's now £230 for the tent alone after 3 days. I guess that means you're now officially an 'influencer' 🙂Folks, if you're thinking of subscribing to the wonderful letter-beans, make sure you tick the optional "include toast" option. It's a mere additional 100% cost (bargain) and is nearly always only a bit soggy and is sometimes mould free. What's not to like?
Obviously too much heat going up the pipe to make it glow like that, shows how much is being wasted. Though it doesn't help that the pipe material is thin so makes it look worse than it is.
1. Yes the glowing red pipe is normal, but it's not so normal to keep the damper open that wide for any length of time. 2. If you intend to burn real wood in that stove, you should install a spark arrestor on the top of the chimney. A couple of sparks on that tent and you're homeless - or dead. 3. Frankly, a small wood stove in that tent is a PITA. When the temperature gets cold I prefer to use a small butane heater like the Kovea Cupid butane heater. It would work well in that tent paired with your CO monitor and ventilation. 4. I had the two-person version of that tent, but IMO it's not a good tent in the summer at all - far too hot. I don't do enough winter camping to justify the cost. 5. Does your sponsor ship to the US?
Interesting stuff. However, I'll say the same to you that i've said to other youtubers. Too many adverts, 7 unskipable mid roll adverts and 2 at the end, TOO MANY

Yes the hardest part is finding somewhere to pitch. This was on a "nearly wild" site.
Any precautions we should be made aware of when camping in a hot tent and having Letter Beanz?
Always keep the vents open and a naked flame nearby.
