In real life Linda and Dean are good friends and she was really worried about Matt when he had to have counselling he couldn't cope with the rape storyline at all.
He got quite a lot of online hate and abuse in the street for it as well
It's good to see Linda taking centre stage again giving the character some back some purpose

He had trouble doing the rape storyline not only did he tell the boss to " F off" at the time he had to have counselling as well he couldn't do it at first until reminded him he's acting a character.
@abbieroseholden4174 it must be horrible for any of these actors to play a part like that. It's like their character is a part of them and who they are. Also, alot of people see them as there characters.

my theory is that shirley doesnt believe dean but after micks death she was desperate for some support and family that didnt bring back memories so she went to dean and just did anything to convince him to stay with her.
