Thank you for reminding us that Linda did clarify MATERNAL feelings toward him comparing him to one of her own sons and he repeated this back to her, so he absolutely knows she didn’t mean it romantically and isn’t just confused, he *intentionally* and *consciously* twisted her words and if Shirley hadn’t opened the door when she did he absolutely would have raped Roxy as well. I don’t want believe Shirley forgave him, not when she saw it with her own two eyes and tried to kill him over the realisation of the monstrosity she had birthed
