Prophet Isa al-Masih (Jesus Christ)'s answer as stated in the Quran is actually a direct testimony from him in front Allah to prove to the Christians who worshipped him as deity when he never preach to his people to worship him, instead he preached to the people to worship Allah alone. On that day, those who worshipped Prophet Isa al-Masih (Jesus Christ) as God will be in shame and regret after they hear Prophet Isa al-Masih (Jesus Christ)'s testimony against them.
Prophet Isa al-Masih (Jesus Christ) distinguish himself from Allah and show how he in his weaknesses in knowledge and Allah has authority over him by submitting and obeying Allah's order, proving that he is not God contrary to what Christians believe.
This is what I understand from the verses. Allah knew the best.

In Quran 5:116-118 clearly show how Prophet Isa al-Masih (Jesus Christ) testify on the Day of Judgement that he told to the people what Allah commanded him and never told what Allah not command him to say, he said to the people to worship my Lord and your Lord. Both Prophet Isa al-Masih (Jesus Christ) and his people who worshipped him as God have the same Lord, Allah.
