i used to live in LA and I got to meet a lot of people from Armenia, as they have a really large diaspora there. They are the sweetest people I've met. Also, really wanted to visit the country since I saw some episodes on Armenia on the Conan O'Brien show. seems really welcoming
One of the world's oldest and greatest cities. Rich with culture, extraordinary arts scene, stunning natural vistas and wineries. Such a welcoming people. Great place to spotlight!!
this brought back memories of my visit to Yerevan-especially tasting Armenian cognac! It’s true, Armenia is such an underrated gem. Thanks for showcasing its luxury side
Love Armanians❤️💚🌷💐🥰, Grown up with them in Tehran, in an Armenian area of Tehran!, Used to speak few words as well unlike my dad that spoke fluently and also had many dear Armenian friends from childhood!, Happy and harmless people with care about daily happiness and great quality food & drinks!❤❤❤
Yerevan is such an underrated gem! From the vibrant culture to the delicious food, you really can enjoy a king-like lifestyle at a fraction of the cost compared to other cities. 🇦🇲✨Proud to see my homeland in this edition!
Armenia offers an incredible blend of natural beauty, rich cultural heritage, and a surprisingly affordable luxury lifestyle. From the stunning landscapes of Lake Sevan and Mount Ararat to the bustling streets of Yerevan filled with exquisite cafes and restaurants, Armenia combines comfort and charm with exceptional value. The country's welcoming atmosphere and high-quality yet affordable amenities make it an ideal destination for those seeking a luxurious experience without breaking the bank.
Most things have got worse, though there is more development going on. After the revolution they elected a woke comedian for mayor, and a journalist as PM who promptly lost a devastating war and clings to power like Trudeau...who btw, has been to Yerevan. I guess they are friends. The Dram gaining on the USD is because of Russian money and Armenia being a neutral ground friendly to Russians. Its success depends on Russia. It's a cheeky bet on Russia imo, and I agree with the premise in the video. Russians love Armenia. It should be more developed like Georgia, but isn't because of geography and two unfriendly neighbours who block open trade with a rail line. Honestly, Azerbaijan and Armenia are shooting themselves in the foot not making peace. They killing each other over pennies, when there are free dollars just letting it all go.
My aunt married armenian his last name was yeravani back home in Iran some 70 year ago he passed away but my aunt and my cousines are still around , good people
Armenia is very special and some parts of it have long way to develop however, quite rightly, it's one of the most cheapest luxury living spots in Europe. The population is homogeneous and most of the young generation is rather forward looking open minded, educated and creative people you could find. I've been there last May with guests from Austria, Germany and the UK, all of whom fell in lvoe with the country and look forward to going back. One very important aspect for me is the quality of the service - it is unparalleled anywhere in the world. The local food and drinks are beyond fabulous and living like a King on small budget is more than realistic.
I agree with your comment. The quality of service here has improved over the last 7 years. Also, you can pretty much buy any kind of goods that you might want, from groceries to electronics and household goods. The living is much cheaper than in the US, you can find services to fit your budget whether it's small or large.
@@matthewbrady5305 Living as far as jobs go can probably be a bit more challenging. Definitely worth a visit. But I plan on retiring and at least spending my summers there. So many other countries are a short flight away. From Yerevan to Vienna for example it took three hours and twenty minutes.
@@kgcane5195 Yep - Tbilisi is not far and the UAE is just 3 hours away (I visited from Dubai originally). Would be an amazing place for remote work, I reckon.
@ Met a few people from Dubai when I was there. Remote work sure but having second cousins there I know how tough it is for locals. Hopefully things will get better.
I almost visited Erevan in 1988 but the day before my trip an earthquake happened there and the trip was called off. Since then, Erevan for me associates with an earthquake. After watching this video I am intrigued, seems like a place to visit.
I’m loving Yerevan! I’ve been searching for a second home and plan B, I was about to settle on Thailand but Yerevan has piqued my interest. Reasonable taxes, seemingly a great quality of life, plenty of quality schools, the ability to own real estate outright and a lot more! Thanks for another awesome video!!

Another great video 2:18 A $100 OMG I spend more than that at a chain restaurant in the US I love how you price compare the cost of fine luxury items and you don’t have to be a king to live like one
I just went to Yerevan a few days ago 😅 Today I went swimming in lake Sevan after the sauna. The lake is about 5 degrees Celsius and it was very refreshing.
Almost every Armo in LA is a criminal, they've ruined Glendale, if "unfriendly" could be bottled, they'd look to US based Armenians,. One hour at the Americana and I want to 🤮.
Even if you are annoyed or hate certain aspects and drudgery of your job, you must LOVE filming these "Live Like a King" videos. When you were little, did you ever imagine being the "international man of mystery" in these videos? 😀😁 Thank you Andrew for adding the Hallmark romance moment that ran amuck. LOL 😄
Very pleasant video for someone who left Soviet Armenia for the West. If they leave us to live in Peace Armenians know how to thrive and live beautifully. Afterall, we survived .... for thousands of years with many civilizations and empires around us. Thank you for this video.
Andrew, I don't know how you are going to top this one, but I am sure you will. Great stuff. The mini commercials are great because I felt they did not take away from the presentation, but added to it. Well done, Sir. Peace all the time. Out.
Was there 2 months ago. Summary: luxurious feeling everywhere, incredible public places, 🔥 women, men look alike and you can stand out, cheap airbnbs even cheaper "Uber" rides, stunning nature mountains and lakes, huge infrastructure investments from China and Germany. In general awesome place to live. People drive like crazy and I saw the dumbest car accidents.
Happy New Year!
