    I have had both of these pistols to CZ 75 brilliant and now moved on to the CZSP0 one just as good because of improvements in technology.

    I purchased 75 B Omega some time ago because I liked the more ascetic and 'older era' design' when Check Republic (at that time Czechoslovakia) was part of the Warsaw Pact and not NATO member. Both guns passed NATO test so quality-wise there are not that much different. And since I don't use any kind of accessories I don't miss the rail to mount some. But there is one distinctive feature which made me choose 75 B over SP-01 - I wanted something easy to convert to 22lr. To my knowledge, only 75 B allows you to use the 22lr Kadet slide without any adjustments (with SP-01 one needs to use a file to remove a bit of material from the slide to make it compatible with SP-01). I have never had SP-01so I can't just say "both are great guns" yet as the SP-01 is an evolution of 75 B it must be a great gun too. Love my CP 75 anyway ::)

    • @erik22lax
      @erik22lax  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There is a 22 conversion for the 75B? EPIC! I was going to get a Ruger 10/22 for plinking but I'll look into that instead. The range I am a member of has competition days for 9mm and 22 lr and it would be cool to use the 75B for both. They discontinued the omega series so keep onto that piece. The SP-01 is bigger and heavier than the 75B and the controls are slightly different. The trigger, barrel and hammers are the only things that are the same on both models.

    • @MariuszPelcPL
      @MariuszPelcPL ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@erik22lax Yes, there is - Kaded II 22lr conversion kit. Easy to find, easy to switch to from 9mm, not expensive and works like a charm :)

    Mehhh, I prefer the old school “𝓒𝓵𝓪𝓼𝓼𝓲𝓬” looks, feel and function of the 75 B model. I’ll keep carrying it when I’m driving my 65 Ford Mustang or 69 Chevy Chevelle SS. Keep’n it old school style.

      I was on their website the other day and didn't see any aluminum grips. The CZ aluminum grips are $100 I do know that. I have been looking at different grips for the CZ 75 but haven't found anything I couldn't live without yet.

  • @merrilllewis3926
    @merrilllewis3926 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    Cz 75 b is a great gun. I carry the compact daily.
    One draw back is that if you are the type who wishes to thoroughly clean your pistol with a complete take down, you will find the firing pin retaining pin a bit cumbersome. That is to say, it is very easy to mar the slide serrations upon installing or removing the pin.
    Also the the factory retaining pin is prone to breakage if dry fired without precautions.
    I guess that was two draw backs.
