HOLY SHIT!!!!!!! random youtube recommendation and it was some stellar old school DM, those fingers are on fire!!!!! Gonna be scrolling through your page now seeing what other bangers are on offer!!! Amazing!
What a treat! Didn't expect a new video so soon, and what a gem of a song! They remind me of Death a lot when it comes to structure and patterns (that's a compliment in any scenario) 🤩
Gorguts 'consider dead' shirt 🤘 I don't suppose you would be able to post the bass tab to the songs? not that I'm anywhere near ready to play to this level yet but would be great to have something to aspire too and learn from.
@@mark-ij1rl Unfortunately, I learn all my covers by ear, so I don't have tabs. I really need to work on learning how to use software to make tabs, as other people have asked too!
You are the real deal! Awesome! From a fellow ginger, lol. How and when did you get into Extreme/ Death metal and love it so much to learn how to play it so well on bass? Much respect and thank you!
@@joec1962 I got into extreme metal through thrash metal, especially the extreme end like Dark Angel, and then before that I was into Megadeth, and before that, a ton of prog rock, like King Crimson. As you can imagine, that's why I fell in love with Atheist big time. Probably got into Atheist about 3 and a half to four years ago now! I started playing bass 5 and a half years ago. I just practiced a lot. Everything I post, I learn by ear! I appreciate you saying I'm the real deal.
You have done Atheist and thrir fans proud 🤘🔥!!! I loved your Hammer Smashed Face cover too👍!!! You're very talented and inspiring ⭐! If you want a fun challenge and check out Deicide. The way this song was played reminded me their tune “Dead by Dawn". Stay killer🤘
Yo are they EMG I'm seeing?? What kind of pickup are we rocking??? Matter of fact, what's the whole setup you're working with?? Inquiring minds want to know???
Sounds Awesome! I have a Question for you I'm Recording a Song for a Nuclear Assault Tribute Cold Steel do you have Access to Recording Equipment I would love for you to do the Bass Parts let me Know if your Interested! 🤘
Thanks for sharing, inspiring! About the Seymour Duncan pickups, are they connected to a preamp and battery in the back, or do you use them as passive without battery?
@@pansj.9949 They have a battery, I use them active. But unfortunately I can't open up in the back, luckily the battery lasts even longer than a set of strings does.
@evilevie87 Thanks for taking the time to answer :) Yes, usually the battery lasts a long time, but I can see you're practicing a lot. It's not so usual to see some active PJ with a Fender shape (usually more common like Spector). I really like it! I've an old Yamaha BB PJ active, thinking that it would benefit from upgrading to a newer active pickup and preamp 🤓
@pansj.9949 99% of the time I practice unplugged, luckily! So I only have to worry about recording/gigs/and these occasional videos. I basically just replace the battery every few string changes.

Great job! I don't know Piece of Time as well as the two records that followed, but there's a lot of interesting bass work in there.
@@neil_song It's definitely my favorite album of theirs. But the other two are fantastic too, for sure.

Great cover ! You should cover Defenestration by Cryptopsy when you have time !
@@Zerothehero-tq1jg That's an awesome pick, my favorite song of theirs! And their first bassist was their best.
Great cover!! What gauge of strings are you using? I got so used to a light gauges that they flop in the wind if if I play too aggressively.
@@TheOutriderJ I use medium gauges, always have.
Cool it's like f****** fast I'm coming quick solace😢
