The more film he shoots the shorter his beanie gets
If he gets into bulk loading it’ll just be a yarmulke.
@@PrebleStreetRecords 😂😭😭😭😂
Gonna be like Harry on Home Alone after he blows his head up in the toilet.
The more film he shoots the bigger his brain gets
Is his head getting bigger or is the beanie getting smaller?
I’ll never forget the day this guy appeared and blew every film related Channel out of the water…
RIGHT??? I don't shoot film and yet...here I am!
Jason: buys expensive Hasselblad
Also Jason: shoots a 645 format
The Mamiya on his shelf: -_-'
I stumbled upon your video of going to Iceland about a year ago and have never looked back. By far my favorite channel on youtube and the reason I got into film. It’s since become my obsession and I’m not only a fan of your photographic style but these videos have almost become therapeutic for me
I've been binging all the videos you've uploaded and I've watched all your content from the past two years.
You make entertaining stuff and I've been passively absorbing useful information about shooting film from watching your vids.
Keep it up.
-From a brand new film liker.
dude im right there with you on that
+1 i've recently picked up a Elan 7 and ran a dozen or so rolls through it but these vids have got me looking at ebay for a nicer camera n a sharp lens
@@dlorp. The Elan 7 will do a fine job. Since it is Canon, you have so many great choices for lenses. Put your money there first.
Welcome mate, I feel sorry for you 😂
Props for the image transfer dedication. That's some obsessive respect there.
Yeah, definitely not an easy thing to get right! I'd love to see his process for how he achieved it, whether he took a photo of a monitor with the negative converted to positive or if he just shot the negative and made a B&W positive?
Yeah I'd also like to know. What exactly does reshot the image mean here.. If anyone knows lmk@@yetanotherbassdude
The perfect 20 minutes length of the video is very satisfying.
You guys got the true Oregon experience with all that rain. Wish y’all had gotten a few more sunny days though, the Oregon coast when it’s not raining is absolutely stunning (so like 15 days a year).
I live in the Willamette valley, and have visited and shot film at most of the places in this video. It was super cool to see one of my favorite photography creators shoot at the same places I have and to see the difference in what we thought was worth shooting! Great vid
All your videos are so well edited everything down to the sound design is so well done
For black and white conversion I use Nik Silver Efx, you can even add color filters
From someone across the pond in the UK your dry sense of humour cracks me up. Great photography too of course !
The best narration I've ever heard. Photography no too shabby too!
Thanks for sharing some more art with us man. Enjoy the hell out of your content !
Oh dearest Hassy. How I yearn for thee!
honestly I don’t know shit about photography but I just like your shots and humor, keep it up
I’m gonna said it again time after time. Your production quality are so fuckin immersive. The simplicity and rawness to it always makes me relaxed and felt grounded. Thanks Jason
Most photographs are excellent.
RS. Canada
Such a nice teeny weeny light house! Love the b/w’s man!
This is my first video of yours and i absolutely love it! you just gained a new subscriber!
Camping in the Sasquatch County.
Boy I have been there in the 1990ies on a short little trip from SFO via Seattle, Vancouver, Banff, Calgary, Galcier National Park, Yellowstone, Salt Lake City, Sacramento...
I would have totally forgotten Sasquatch County Camping without your video!
Besides this nostalgia, I really enjoy your videos featuring nostalgic cameras.
Beautiful, as always. Thank you for uploading ♥️
What a trip - the hotel rooms, restaurants, and campfires really provided atmosphere. To say nothing of the sky and rain.
Some really nice shots in there. That is a trip I would like to take some time.
Watching this on the toilet because I know it’s what Jason would want
Love the Oregon coast! Canon beach has some of the best vibes of any town on the coast.
Great production once again! Enjoy the weekend!
I’m so glad that your videos are just as entertaining on my toilet as you are in my car
the rain there was so beautiful
I absolutely love your comments , you are a riot, how can anybody not like or love you 🥰🥰
Jason, you've got me jonesing for a Hassy so bad. I have a couple of the Zeiss V-mount lenses in my collection that need a body.
I really appreciate your videos and your dry humor. I enjoy your photographs as well. Thanks for taking me along.
You’ve literally smashed the back doors off this video format with your content, narration, visuals and entertainment value (shit jokes) plus 4:3 looks gorrrgeous on iPad, I love you man let’s face it
4:25 those pixels are beautiful Jason 😍
Thanks for this man. So wholesome.
00:13 seconds in and I had to stop the video...those 3 photos at the beginning are just...am I even trying??? Great video, fantastic shots...I suck.
That shot at the intro is so so good goddamn jason.
Like that side view mirror shot... simple but perfect.
Its always cool to see the photographers I watch go to exactly the same spots I've been to
Gorgeous, gorgeous pictures
I love that you've been using this format for your videos. Perfect to watch on my 2:3 tablet
It's awful on my 20:9 phone lol
@@edoardogamba6141 Maybe that's kinda the point? You can't really see the photos in such a small screen
It's awful on my BIG ASS 8K 16:9 TV
ITS AWFUL ON MY 16X20in LIGHTTABLE
NOW WHAT
Thank you for such vids. They remind me that there's so much beauty in life
I look forward to these videos because GODDANGIT they are SO COMFORTING
Love these longer trip videos man. Great work.
Sitting your Hassy on that post gave me a panic attack. I lost a good polerizer filter while on a bridge taking a photo of a waterfall. Tried to screw it on my lens and it slipped out of my hand falling down to the stream below, hit a rock and sunk into the water. I still miss it today.
When shooting XX, I just call it what it is: Kodak XX, aka Kodak 5222.
The HP5+ @ EI1600 was interesting, looked alright. Will be shooting a 1920s restored theater, with F5, Rolleiflex, and Mamiya M645 Pro. Interiors with available light, only concern is grain.
Who does your processing? I enjoy doing my own for 43 years, but doing too many projects at the moment to concentrate on that.
You should try Rollei 25 Orthochromatice. It’ll rock your world.
yet another banger
I appreciate the deadpan delivery of the jokes almost as much as the photographs 😂
You're so funny lol. Hope to see more of your road trips
Wow! Man this shot at 11:11 is awesome! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Glad you got to visit my home state, I'm surprised you didn't go up to Mt. Hood. This year was especially wet, then summer came and it's bone dry now. That drive on I5 South to at least Eugene is painfully boring.
This video fits my whole ipad. The only time a screen this big actually felt this big
Some of my favorite memories and photos I've ever taken were at all of these same spots.
These shots were freakin amazing! Best collection of photos in a video yet
I shot some BWxx at my nephew’s wedding and was blown away. It’s really a great portrait film, giving people that old black and white movie look.
Road trips with the bros is always a good time.
The shoots are amazing, thank you for sharing your road trip diary entries.
Awww! Silver Creek Falls! Did you know that there are freshwater clams in the pool at the base of that beauty?!
I love the shots you got of silverton falls!
Calling the Hasselblad "Hassie" really amps up the dog analogy in the intro for me, though I have a feeling it'd probably be a lot less effective at going to find the local sheriff if Jason gets stuck down a well on one of these road trips...
Yes a grainydays road trip video
Jason and a pro-mist, classic duo
Some stunning scenery and fantastic photos in this one! Some of the beaches remind me of New Zealand.
Thank you Jason!! Great video and photos. PS: I just checked online and umbrellas are now legal in Oregon, so...next trip you might want to bring one along...for the Hassy.
These images were amazing so many bangers well done Mr Days
Shots after 11:01 especially first two are so beautiful. Nice work!
Jason is love, Jason is life.
One thing about the Hassy, the more big ass accessories and filter holders and crap you put on it the more bad ass and intimidating it becomes. People are like, oh you must be a photographer!?!
Another thing is, that camera takes the sharpest photos I’ve ever seen. For wide angle, do the 40mm CF T lens. It doesn’t get better, and is super linear.
The image at 12:03 literally looks like a dream. "Insert heart eyes emoji"
Your deadpan humor never gets old...............
You're killing it J! King of Cali! LOL
This makes me want to get back and start roadtripping again. Gotta take some time off and just drive I guess.
The Cinestill BWXX with the 1/4 promist is giving off serious Kodak HIE vibes.
Man I love these shots
Keep coming back to Oregon!
Hasselblad 503CX + A12, & CFVii 50MP. Guilty as charged, mate.
The rain ALWAYS stops at the border!
We need an accessories line of grainydays honey rimmed sunglasses - complete with p400 piss yellow, cine halation delight, and grain inducing HP5 lens options.
finally it's thursday again! love it!
You should start making itinerary recommendations for road trips. This one really made me want to go visit Oregon.
Haha I forgot about the Oregon gas station rule. I have many memories in Washington of people standing at the gas pump completely bewildered not knowing what to do, and then it all makes since when you see the Oregon plates on their car
Love your channel and especially in this one you got some really nice photos man.
Another masterpiece. Awesome job man :)
Good Goonies vibes on this one!
I spent some time at Cannon Beach a few years back, Def bringing my film camera with me next time haha
Could have titled this one, "Hasselblad 501c Lighthouse Pictures... just the tip" or something like that. Very entertaining shots of the lighthouse. As always, love the videos man.
The gods have blessed us with another grainydays video, keep up the amazing work man!
Loved all the lighthouse images Jason 👊🏽 Missed Baxter for most of the video though :D
Always wanted to get a Hassey 501...maybe this will push me. If not, I'll continue getting my workout by lugging my RZ67 around.
Beautiful work man, well done!
I agree with Scott, these are my favorite videos. Do you have a process for planning your trips and where you are going (especially around neighborhoods in places you haven't been before)? Keep rocking.
YES!! ANOTHER VIDEO!!!!
Amazing video and amazing images, loved it!
i really like the b/w pics! 😍
My family did the exact same trip and we stayed at the same house as you.
I do hope to see you shoot some Velvia 50 and 100 there in the future. Those greens in that one shot almost looked like Ektar/Velvia. Good stuff overall.
Damn boi... Again you blow me away... And sorry for not watching the last video 😁
Haha damn you stole my idea before I came around to implementing it: making a square ratio video of me shooting square photos 😄Enjoyable video as always, keep it up!
The rain here in Oregon a few months back was psychotic. Luckily it kept Silver Falls nice and full, it's much less impressive when the creek just kinda tinkles off the edge.
This video pairs brilliantly with salmon en croute. Kudos my G
I watched this video, then watched it again. I absolutely want to go to Oregon now. Even if it's pissing with rain...
This film goes very well with the theme of lighthouses. What a solid, weird film.(the movie that is)
Ohh it's always so awkward to run into a gas pump handler. I'll get out of the car and some man from across the lot will signal me to stop what I'm doing. I've never had a smooth encounter hahaa.
