Some great designs - but what if you're in the tropics. The sun is really hot - so most "land houses" try to give maximum roofing shade - so not difficult to do on your floating homes?? Strong winds during monsoons would 'rock' the structure? Also love the music - anyone know the composer/group?
how much are all of them and where do you park/live into such houses and how much for monthly taxes etc etc... there s lots of questions living on water... (impossible to live and put such houses everywhere).
Much of that is determined by local government. And, we all know government. Once they become popular, the greedy politicians will find a way to tax them, if there isn't a tax already. And you can bet your last non-taxed dollar that they will regulate them, too.
Why fill up waterfront if home owners already rich? Slumming it? I'm in Sausalito and these designer barges are ruining the scene like the architecture post '89 SF quake. Please just live somewhere else, I don't want my classic boat near that eye sore or damn family.
