What a Brilliant explaination by Sriman Rangan ji. We don’t have to give any evidence / proof for anyone . If youngsters don’t believe and ask questions, they will eventually accept, and soon, when they grow up into adults, they will understand. We don’t have to presume, that they will quit Sanatana Dharma
because we don’t give a specific date for Rāmā’s birth or anything for that matter. Moreover if foreigners ask for proof/ evidence from history, for these books to be in their libraries , we should not be begging them to have it . Let them come to India and read our ancient scriptures, for which they may have to learn Sanskrit and then study our Sanaatani books and let them beg to have our books in their libraries. We should not go behind them.

I would have requested if he could have covered the life span controversy of Bhagavan Rama, who lived and showed us how to behave as a human being, as many still think it's thousands of years, that's not how Srimad Valmiki Ramayana shows.
One of the best Ramayana Researchers, I have known, and the most reliable Swamy on the subject of Ramayana is Dr. Ranganji.
In this session he had mentioned all those factors that are affecting our Sanathan Dharma for sure and a very true challenge nowadays and the light in such situations, it's these great Acharyas who can guide many on the right path.

रामायणप्राचार्यस्य समन्वयाचार्यस्य ईदृशोपि रमणीयः समन्वयः। बलं विष्णोः प्रवर्धताम् ।
Sri Mathe Ramanujaya Namah: There must be several reasons why our own acharyas ("saints") like Swami Sri Ramanujacharya, Sri Adi Sankara and Sri Madhvacharya and all acharyas following them in their Sidhantham (philosophy) did not say anything about Perumal Shri Rama's birth (as 5000 odd BC) in any of their commentaries though they have written so many commentaries on Vedas and associated texts, as far as I have heard. These reasons must be best known to them only. We must therefore learn from our Gurus. What is important to us, is imbibing and adhering to Perumal Shri Rama's qualities in our daily life. Secondly, do we really need to prove scientifically about our bhakthi, faith and beliefs and about our Gods to non-believers? Answer is an emphatic "NO". I understand Swami Rangarajan Narasimhan has taken this initiative to educate all of us with accurate knowledge through experts on SriVaishnavam. Thanks to Swami Rangan ji and Swami Rangarajan. As Swamiji put it, do we have "GNANA" (knowledge) to time the timeless? Obviously, not.
🙏In Ramayana, Sri Valmiki has a sloka (1.18.20) that mentions only the birth Month (Chitra), the Thithi (Navami), the Laganam (kataga) the Star (Punarvasu) and not the year! Also Sri Rama’s birth was mentioned as a divine incarnation of Sriman Narayana, the supreme god head (the Omni potent, the Omniscient ,and the Omnipresent).
🙏There are several references in the Vedic literature that Sri Rama’s birth happened during Treta Yuga of the Vedic cosmic cycle. Of the Ten well known Avathrams of Sriman Narayana, the first four (Matsa, Kurma, Varaha, Nrisimha, and Vamana) happened during Kritha Yuga. 5th and 6th (Parusurama and Rama) happened during Treta Yuga; 8th and 9th (Balarama and Krishna) happened during Dvapara Yuga.
🙏The 10th the Kali Bhagavan shall be incarnated during the current Kali Yuga comprising 0.432 million years of which we have JUST crossed around 5200 years (3200 years before CE and 2000 years after CE!!!!).
🙏The four Yugas (known as one chathur Yuga) Kritha, Treta, Dvapara and Kali constitute 4.32 million years. Modern science estimates our planet earth to be about 4.54 billion years old which corresponds to about 1000 chathur Yugas!
🙏Jyotisha is a Vedanga of Vedic literature and can be used in simulation models to analyze various aspects of time, dates and stars. Any one using any such simulation models should state the limitations of their simulated results. Especially in the cosmic cycle nature of the universe, there could be more than one incidence of coincidences may occur that will have to be explained in the results and discussion section of the research publication, if any. For example one such occurrences could be 7500 years (5500 BCE). This is the latest coincidence in Kali Yuga but not the all. So if the model has the capacity to simulate full cosmic chathur Yugas, then one can possibly find the earliest or the first occurrence to be in the Treta Yuga!
🙏So let us try to understand the scope and limitations of any such analytical tools to Vedic literature which are time eternal

One small thought. Before even releasing the Ramayana book that Dushyanth Sridhar ji wrote, he himself explained about Shri Rama's birth according to what all Aacharyaas said, abiding by what Shri Valmiki said. But, just during this book release, he has collaborated with Jayashree Saranathan madam and researched and claim that Shri Rama's birth dates back to nearly 7,000 years back.....So, does he want the people who believed & understood what he said before, in his explanations , to erase that and forget about that and accept what he claims now? What's the guarantee that in future, other statements or facts of his will be withdrawn and goes against Aachaaryaas' and rishis' preachings, by the name of research work?

எனக்குப் புரிந்தவரை பிரளயம் என்பது ஒவ்வொரு யுகத்தின் முடிவிலும் சதுர்யுகத்தின் முடிவிலும், மன்வந்தரத்தின் முடிவிலும், கல்பத்தின் முடிவிலும் , பிரம்மாவின் கால முடிவிலும் நடக்கிறது. அதன் வீரியம் மட்டும் மாறுகிறது.

அதிலும் சில வேறுபாடுகள் இருக்க வாய்ப்பு உண்டு.
ஆனால் நாம் அவைகளை ஒத்துக் கொள்கிறோம்.
அதனால் இதைப் பொது வெளியில் ஒரு விவாதப் பொருளாக ஆக்காமல் , தனிப்பட்ட முறையில் பேசி ஒரு முடிவுக்கு வருவது நல்லது என்பது அடியேனின் கருத்து.

Krishna Premi Anna usually sees everything positively. For eg: Dhurvasa Munivar deployed Pisacham on Ambareeshan. Sudarshana Chakram killed Pisacham and started chasing Dhurvasa. KP Anna's interpretation: Dhurvasarukku theriyAdhA Ekadeshi Mahimai, Bhakthan perumaiyai kAtradhukkAga apdi seidhAr.
Is this acceptable?
Acceptable for Krishna Premi Anna's sishyas.
As such interpretation does not contradict the baseline story it is acceptable.
The reality according to me is Dhurvasar had high ego being Shiva bhaktha and got a good lesson for playing with a SriVaishNavite.
