Hello and welcome back to the Catacombs! With our third Ashes of the Burned Witch Fallen Dhampir online, we begin to lean alllll the way into Greed. Is that the right call? Well, I have some timestamps to help you discern for yourself: Straight to combat! 3:59 | The Tradition Lives On! 17:33 | Greed is Good... Until It's Not! 30:09 | Not Even Close! 36:32 | This Might Be An Issue! 49:52. The Pyromancer looms over head, and the question that lingers is, "what the heck does her Feature actually mean?" Is she immune to Ignition? Does she get Ignition stacks but not take damage? Does she take damage from the DoT but not from the attack that applies it? I don't know, but we'll find out together next time!
I definitely didn't forget that the Fallen Dhampir aren't just debuff bots. I'm also a little scarred from Riposte, since its counterattack stance killed one of my Dhampir's in the last run, but y you're definitely right that I could use it on this floor.
Have faith in The Horned One III! Totally never close to falling over. Pay no attention to the III on his name. The 15-stack of boost-boosted fire seems pretty effective. Going full-greed with a Blood Phantasm instead of The Horned One to lol-kill enemies on turn 1.. if you have a 2-turn Foot on the non-Heroblood Dames, and one also on the Phantasm.. you could potentially instagib 2 enemies on turn 1. The most glass cannon of glass cannon builds!
What are you talking about? I have faith in all of my Bone Golems! *pushing Bones labelled "Bone Golem Spare Parts" into the closet* My only concern for the BP is that without a Sharpened Bone, Block becomes super annoying, but I'm definitely investigating ways to circumvent that. And I'm still looking for a Coward's Foot! I need to sacrifice Kiervets a few more times, I suppose.
15:16 You are very lucky fate had something else in mind. I would've [bone] warded the second position Dhampir, why? Well, the blade mistress could've pulverized the bone daddy or hit a block (or kill the dhampir).
It was one of those moments where the needle between "Danger" and "Safe" was spazzing out. I didn't do that because I'm pretty sure her Execution is Magic damage, so it would be negated by Ward, of which the second position Fallen Dhampir had 2 stacks. There is an argument to made about doing it anyway to lower the Bone Golem's hp to activate Stack of Bones mitigation, but I definitely wouldn't have thought about mathing that out right then and there. XD
I feel like TH-cam is eating the comments that I've been trying to make, well, tl;dr: 38:53 How that Dhampir is not dead, I do not know. You're lucky. As soon as you're overconfident you're going to get punished.
@@deitylurker120 I'm not sure why, but TH-cam likes to eat comments a lot. I don't know why, I have "publish all comments" selected in my settings. T_T "Overconfidence is a slow and insidious killer." I like to think of it as pushing my limitations. :D
I'm definitely going to Science out the Ignition at the start of next episode but I have a backup plan that is full greed that may or may not involve a BP. :D

The 1st two combats had me thinking, "man, REALLY not a fan of Mocking Riposte's stance interruption, huh?"

Time for Kevin perhaps, if the boss is able to be debuffed? It might be worth testing the ignition with a throw away reaper pehaps?
