Rick gets plenty of dislike for a lot of his calls, and for good reason. But there's a few gold mine calls that you can find if you look thoroughly enough.
I remember watching that entire Glen race and seeing Chase get his first win at the end. I will remember that day for the rest of my life. The mass amount of joy I felt in that moment is why I watch Nascar and Motorsports for that matter. Those moments you can’t replicate even if you tried.

The date of my comment I'm posting is November 26, 2021. You could arguably say that this was one of Rick Allen's best calls as of the 2021 NASCAR season. I think Rick Allen is a good announcer with his energy, might not be as good as Mike Joy or Allen Bestwick. But I think he is a respectable pick on NBC. But I’m glad that SRX on CBS will have Allen Bestwick
NBC have been decent this year I think, also, Rick Allen does not have an annoying voice, and that's good when you hear him 3-4 hours each race, I always liked him commentating Busch Series races at Nashville or Kentucky Speedway or the Milwaukee Mile while Cup was at Pocono, Michigan or Sonoma.
