    Hello controls hero. Let me ask you, it is possible to make this logic in LCT for points of command that turns unreliable in metasys ?

    • @controlshero
      @controlshero  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Carlos! Thanks for your question. I'm sure you can do it with any point that goes unreliable. I need to know more details. If you can, go to my website (www.controlshero.com) and send me a message, and I can help you out from there. Thanks!

    Hello, nice video, I like the way you removed the unreliable sensors from the equation. Now something I have not been able to figure out is how to remove the highest and lowest value. Do you know how to do this?

      Hi Ryan, thanks for watching my video. That's a good one. Let me see how we can incorporate removing the highest and lowest values. Might get tricky.

    I am looking pid tunning in CCT application

      Hi Marimuthu! I still don't have a PID tunning tutorial. It's going to take some time doing one. In the mean time I have a Blog that talks about PID in CCT. You can find it here: www.controlshero.com/blog

    Can someone explain what is the difference between JC CCT and metasys?

    • @controlshero
      @controlshero  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi koktelici, that is a very good question. CCT (Controller Configuration Tool) is a JCI software tool that allows you to program custom applications for your JCI controllers (e.g. FEC, VMA, CGM controllers). These applications can be for VAVs, AHUs, EFs, Hot Water Systems, and Central Plants. You basically create an "App" for your controller. You define inputs and outputs and create the logic or "code" that goes inside the controller. On the other hand, Metasys is like a platform, the "front end", it is what the final user, the building engineer, sees. Metasys is a software that is installed in a computer (a server), and locally in a Network Engine (NAE, NCE, SNE, etc.). What is a Network Engine? Is a supervisory device, the main device in your building. It supervises all of your controllers or HVAC equipment (AHUs, VAVs, HPs, EFs, etc.) The network engine contains a database of all your devices and allows you to see all your equipment live, its points, the graphics, and it allows you to send commands, overrides, etc. Finally, you can also write "programs" in Metasys like this Metasys video. Basically, if you need to look at different controllers in the network and create custom logic to do a particular task, and you do this at the Engine level, in LCT. Hope this helps!

      @@controlshero in PLC world CCT would be step7 and Metasys is like SCADA installed on Pc connected trough master PLC (Network engine) to oversee other slave PLCs (different controllers you mentioned ).

      @@koktelici you just explained it in a very easy and short way! Great!
