    Great video what happens after a power cycle? To permanently save you will need to upload controller

    • @controlshero

      Hi Tom! Sorry for the very late answer (Holidays!). If the controller loses power, all changes will remain in the controller. So each time you adjust a numeric parameter from Metasys it permanently stores the value in the controller. Metasys doesn't store sensors values. Metasys it's like a user interface, and what the NAEs store is the database, like point names, addresses, trends, alarms, etc. And if you want to save the most updated configuration, yes, you will have to upload the controller application using CCT. Hope it's not too confusing. Let me know if it makes sense. Thanks!

    This is so cool, Thanks!
    Do you know if I can do this with Metasys CVG controllers on an N2 Trunk, and/or can you do this on N2 devices, too?

      Hi there! As far as I know, I don't think you can change those parameters on N2 devices.

    Hello. Question will that also apply if the unit or system is on N2 bus

      Hi Dexter, that is a good question. I don't know. I haven't work on an N2 system in many years. But if you find out how, please comment! Thanks!

    Excellent tutorial. Is there a way from the NAE to change a temperature sensor type from nickel to platinum .Thank you

      Hi Lenny! Thanks for your feedback! Well, I haven't found a simple way to change your sensor from Nickel to Platinum, but if you really want to do it from the NAE (Metasys), you can do it as shown in minute 12:58. However, for some reason, CCT won't register those changes, but they will actually be there. So if you have to do it because you don't have CCT handy you can do it, but I would recommend taking a note, and once you have access to CCT, upload the application and make those changes there so you have an accurate application. Hope that makes sense. Thanks!

      Hi Abe Qasim, thank you for your request. Have you checked that the new program has the same controller PCG2611 selected (Define Hardware > Controller Selection > Field Device)? You can send me a message through my website at www.controlshero.com. There is a contact form at the bottom. From there we can communicate better. Thank you.

    Appreciate you doing this. Quick question, don't you have to change the value in CCT and then download it to the controller in order to show those changes in Metasys? In your tip #1, I saw that you changed the value in CCT and it got reflected right away in Metasys. Just wondering. Thanks!

    • @controlshero
      @controlshero  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Aditya, thank you for your comment! Not necessarily, many of the float parameters (or "numbers") can be changed from Metasys, and they will actually be reflected/written in the CCT application, just as in trick #1. But feel free to do your own experimentation ; )

      @@controlshero Yes that I know. I didn't know it could do other way round, i.e commission mode in CCT and make some changes and then exit out of commission which is just enough to make those changes for that controller. I had idea that every time you have to make changes; you need to go to configure mode then save the application and then download it to controller to make those changes effective.
