- Laksa has many variation, and is often confusing.
Laksa Lemak, is reiterated by the Nyonya and is known as Nyonya Laksa. It is also known as Siam Laksa or Siamese Laksa in Penang. Many of you might even mistaken this dish with Curry Laksa (Singapore Laksa), but it isn't the same dish.
Together with Asam Laksa, this two noodle dish features a thick rice noodle base which we call 'Laksa Noodle' which is very similar to 'Lai Fun' in texture. Some places might even use 'Lai Fun' in their Laksa.

May i know, this is which place of favorite nyonya curry laksa? I see most of melaka recipes include fishball and tau pok. This is different from them and look so delicious. The way you boiling the laksa leaf and taste must be good for sure. Thanks for sharing.
Come to Penang to learn from me. Most Melaka recipes are Curry Laksa, I'm not so sure.

@@cookingwithchefsamuel actually our laksa lemak , after frying the blended ingredients,add in the fish meat and continue to cook with the blended ingredients,it tastes better and not so strong smell of the fish. I experienced it when I was young,now I'm 72.

Hallo Chef Samuel.. Kuah laksa u bahan bahan yg u miss out.. Otak undang, ikan bilis yg kisar, ikan kembong 1 kg dan ijan sardin yg mata besar 1 kg ..Can Sardin yg Cap Ayam.. Air asam, asam keping ,gula, garam dan otak undang.. Jija tidak bubuh, kuah laksa u tidak boleh menang lain Chef.. Ok.. Gd job. !
