I tried playing Dragon Age: The Veil Guard, and honestly, I was incredibly disappointed. Coming from the immersive worlds of Dragon Age: Inquisition and Baldur’s Gate 3, this game feels like a major step backward. The graphics, while colorful, seem to lean toward a Disney-like aesthetic that doesn’t align with the darker, more mature tone fans of the series have come to love. The dialogue lacks depth, coming across as sophomoric and uninspired, which detracts from any emotional connection to the characters. To top it off, the gameplay mechanics are clunky and far from enjoyable. The controls feel unpolished, making combat and exploration a chore rather than the engaging experience you’d expect from a Dragon Age title. In short, this game feels more like a cash grab than a worthy addition to the franchise. I’d recommend passing on this one. Save your money until its under $10.00.
If they respected the previous games instead of trying to appeal to "modern" newcomers, it would have helped the franchise. As long as they do not lie they can twist the data as much as they want in the quarterly reports.
