Okay that play of Qliphort Genius to search a kaiju was actually one of the biggest brained things I've seen in a long time in this card game, not gonna lie
That Super Heavy Samurai player defintley had been playing the deck for years prior to the new support because he knew EXACTLY what he was doing asides from generic Extra Deck spam.
"We can stop scraping the dregs of Photon Hypernova!" He says this when he didn't even look at the new Galaxy support that literally headlined the pack.
The galaxy support is alright by Photon-Galaxy is still the same strategy which is worse than any other combo deck. The only difference is that C62 is capable of OTKs, in archetype which is nice but you still lose to Nibiru, Droll, Dropletts, Dark Ruler and all the other stuff that wrecks combo decks.
A tear of joy or of sadness? I'm sure at least some SHS fans don't like that their rogue deck became meta and it's used as an engine to make fields of 5 or 6 negates.

I love how quirky Gold Pride is. It can be a bit awkward to build; you have to play a lot of names so you can Start Your Engines multiple times but Carrie is the only one you wanna draw unless you have a way to reduce your life points. The restrictions on Leon are a pain in the neck, but despite all that, there’s so much you can do with this. The archetype gives you a nice variety of removal options in addition to the huge pool of generic synchros you can summon, and you can even go for combos with cross sheep or Cherubini. You can run some WILD tech cards in Gold Pride, like Garbage Lord and Lullaby of Obedience.
One card I am surprised people don't auto-main in this deck is Upstart Goblin. It literally says "turn on all your gold pride effects and draw a card."
Could be just because of the added bricks. Playing gamma or cross out may just not be worth it to make a one of card in upstart worth playing. Playing more impactful handtraps may just be better since the deck doesnt seem like it needs extra help in turning on its effects. After a banlist it may become a necessary inclusion depending on what they hit. All in all i think it’s completely dependent on what you feel like playing i think with so many flex slots you can really customize depending on your wanted non-engine
On a serious note I think there's a lot of tinkering you can do with the deck space. You can easily fit in a gamma package to go with the E-Teles we're already running, which also gives us Baronne access in theory. I don't think we need to main deck 3 ghost ogres either because we can search it with jam dragon drive. Lots of tinkering to be done with this list.
I've also been testing the new support, and would like to advocate for the adding of madame spider... She can search for dangerous gabu before you use her and ze amin to make chariot carrie. The 1.5 card combo would look like this: - summon ze amin - search foxy tune - activate foxy tune to SS madame spider - search dangerous gabu - overlay both for carriot carrie - activate carriot carrie, searching continuous and sending roller baller - activate continuous to search leon - SS leon and use his effect to summon roller baller - set gabu - end phase trigger chariot, shuffling to SS carrie - activate carrie and cont. Spell to search the trap and draw one - start of opponent's turn use leon to summer star leon This ends on gabu + star leon + roller baller, and anything drawn additionally will just increase the end board
This deck is exactly on the perfect place to be. Decent enough to at least be able to compete, not toxic enough to risk getting destroyed by the banlist, and interactive enough to be fun to play. I love it to death and can't wait to play it. Also super heavy samurai meta, how did we even get here.

Frankly, it was about time people figured out that Superheavy was busted. Soulpiercer is one of the best searchers in the game, they have very strong main deck monsters, and oddly low chances of bricking. While I do wish they included more OTK features in the modern decks, I actually like them being seen for the sneaky powerhouses they are!

Some of them i forgive: qliphort genius for letting them pendulum summon 2 things from extra deck, cyberstein and naturia exterio because it fits their S/T hate (and exterio is basically the best "foolish burial" the deck sometimes wishes it has), machina citadel and machina overdrive (as overdrive can retrieve banished stuff, and citadel fits the type and attribute) therion "king" regulus (revival and negate), and kaijus (as you could basically make a variant entirely focused on kaijus and battleball). i like it is technically easier to use original big benkei in the deck (a boss monster that could be better, but is actually better than you think), sadly nobody uses it. I really wish that new pendulum synchro they got was better, OR AT LEAST level 11, 4, or 3 (so battle ball's range for its effect was expanded); or that they got a foolish burial effect (to help cards like gigagloves or flutist. as flutist is an actual good way to protect your cards from targetting, and gigagloves' permanent ATK reduction and rearranging of the cards can be helpful even if slow)
I mean, rising carp can be nice on occasion, and ending on a surprise amazing dragon against someone who doesn't know it exists is sure to win you a portion of your games,

Not enough Punks i think, the ogre dances are a MUST if you're trying to not brick like you did. Also you are not playing Wa gon and extreme session so you can't draw deeper into the Gold Pride engine/hand traps. Also the extra deck is weird, the deck is very capable of doing level 10 synchros, but no baronne? No chengying? Maybe because you didnt put in gamma ( which btw protects your rising carp from ash blossom as well as E-Tele AND it can be summoned from E-teli if you need a lvl 2 tuner ). Also fortune tune sucks, just play 2 chariot carries for rank 3s, and add a photon lord/hope harbinger! You are playing 3x foxy tune already, put in some ogre dances and voilà, nibiru/power spell protection. You were "piloting" the deck well ( pun intended ) but maybe put some more thought into the list xD.
Actually I think if used skillfully Nytro head can really fuck with your opponent. Also gamma is really good in this deck, lots of opportunities to use it turn 1 for this deck and get a free baronne. Photon Lord is great post siding cause you can force out Nib before you even start your GP plays.
You gotta appreciate how seasonal yugioh has become, start of the year you have your floodgate like deck locking everyone out of the game, then mid year you have your super heavy (no pun intended) combo deck playing over everything like its nothing, then at the end of the year you have your flashy combo deck that out resource everything and everyone no matter what until the new year comes around. But hey the shiny staples are new.

I used it Pre-CYAC is really good, but with the New Cyac Support i will need to see ratios. I started using it because Pre cyac the deck Needs a negate or else Rikka Eats ur alive, Evently (if u dont have Nitro head) etc

Nah this archetype still a redline reference AND a little bit of a SBR reference mostly cuz outside of roller baller and I guess Leon’s horse, even though SBR has zero robo horses even as stands. Also, this second wave is so good. Easily one of my archetypes in years ngl, it doesn’t use a shitton of negates but instead has a variety of interruptions, it’s got great art, and of course, it’s a redline/ SBR reference. Only thing I dislike is nytro blaster not being a quick effect meaning he’s just straight up the worse extra deck monster by a mile, and also Star Leon should’ve been a starlight so both Leon and carrie would have starlights

I have done it in a Dinomist deck. It's nothing super new but a cute interaction for machine Pendulum decks.

There's a lot of fat trimming to do for sure. Nearly a third of the deck is hand traps to resolve bricky hands but the cards themselves are bricky.
CYAC made this archetype go from Ghoti to Burning Abyss real quick

Gold Pride has been my favorite deck since 1991 so when it becomes meta I have rights to play it without being cringe and alternatively be based.
This second wave of support was *chefs kiss*.

I want to try this with "The Asceneded of Thunder" for an easy level 7 that also reduces your own LP.
I used it Pre-CYAC is really good, but with the New Cyac Support i will need to see ratios. I started using it because Pre cyac the deck Needs a negate or else Rikka Eats ur alive, Evently (if u dont have Nitro head) etc
I think Fenrir is better than Ascended. Break board easily + can be summoned back with Baronne if it had used the negate for extra disruption.
@@ShadowHazy Fenrir only works if u draw it in ur first turn, also if expended baronne u can bring back Sharakusai or a Synchro material to continue comboing in the next turn

Nah this archetype still a redline reference AND a little bit of a SBR reference mostly cuz outside of roller baller and I guess Leon’s horse, even though SBR has zero robo horses even as stands. Also, this second wave is so good. Easily one of my archetypes in years ngl, it doesn’t use a shitton of negates but instead has a variety of interruptions, it’s got great art, and of course, it’s a redline/ SBR reference.
Only thing I dislike is nytro blaster not being a quick effect meaning he’s just straight up the worse extra deck monster by a mile, and also Star Leon should’ve been a starlight so both Leon and carrie would have starlights
