4:21 any reason why you wouldn't just use DHCP and set your router to make the same IP for the nas static? That way you don't have to worry about going to this same menu on the NAS if you were to change your router.
thank you for the video, well done. I have a TS-264 and set up was relatively easy . i also have a Mac. I'm curious, How many volumes do you have and what is your largest? Currently, I only have one, set at 2.5 tb. wondering if there is any advantage to setting up thin vs thick volumes thank you
I just got a QNAP and crazy how elementary the dashboard is. The MyCloud I had looked better and was way easier to setup, manage, etc. Crazy how we spend this much money and it looks like a 5th grader designed it.
Hi can you please confirm that 3 leds on the motherboard on this unit are constantly on led ALW, RSM and STB placed right under NVME slot 1. I am trying to find someone who can confirm this for me please. My 3 leds are constantly on and orange. Can you please confirm? Thank you.
This was very helpful. Is there a way to get the shared NAS drive auto load if the computer was restarted? I cannot find a way with Sonoma. It is frustrating to have to use Qfinder manually every time. I have Plex server on the QNAP and sometimes I am not home and the computer may restart on its own. Thanks
im cutting my wrists ... to open a folder it takes 5 minutes ... and many times it unmounts ... using Macbook Pro M1 ... Qnay 231 P3 ... Such a nightmare! Please, help ME!

Did your QNAP come with hard disks? If so, where did you buy it from?

Connect up via 2.5Gbe ethernet for best speeds.
I already tried. It disconnects. Tried different cables, even. Thank you.@@andrewtsaitips
