I think this song works on many levels - the thrust of the text and the driving rhythms of the orchestration.. Leo's voice wailing in perfect tune through a tempest of feeling.. when I was young I fell in love and it was life-altering.. this song captures that.. certainly for me! :)

I was buying Leo's albums from 1974 and managed to see him twice at coventry theatre in the 70s and Worthing in the 90s - and there has been a real variety of music - great songs, great vocals - and worked with some cracking musicians.
Lets face it, one of the greatest untold rock singers ever...and maybe thats the way he likes it...I recommend his version of The Long and Winding Road 👌🏻....😊thanks Leo for all the marvellous music 👍🏻

As a girl at the age of 15 (now 52) this was one of the first singles on vinyl that I bought. Listening to this song I built my own "light organ" (?? sorry, don't know the right word) in my room. Didn't do it right and suddenly the electricity in the whole house shut down whahahaha. First my mother was a bit angry, but within a few minutes she loved what I was doing AND the song!
