I'm initially on the side of the physicists. Not just because I love Sheldon Cooper, but I've always been more interested in how and why things happen the way they do and essentially figuring out how the universe works is just so cool.
I am a programmer side, our whole thig is to abstract what is already abstracted, and do it again and again and again until you get a x86 virtual machine written in javascript.
No offense. I dont think you have experience with the military. They actually classified and took the entire project away from them later. That is real real it happens all the time.
If Big Bang gets revived (Young Sheldon, I watch that more), may they make and episode on mathematicians, vs. physicists vs. engineers X-D God bless Math & Science.
The change thing hits hard for me as a software developer. Can we do it better? Hell yeah. But you need to pay for it and wait the additional time it'll take to make it happen. Otherwise, accept what was in the original requirements. I've worked with the military, and they get the same answer. Just because you're government doesn't mean I'll give you freebies.
I am sorry but you couldn't be more wrong about physicist, how do the engineers know this will happen in the first place? i will tell you through physicist.... physicist tells you the application... its right Sheldon is too hard on engineers, but he is sheldon... In other words without physicist there would be no engineers, so you better respect them
right but how do physicists get all their fancy equiptment? through engineers, both are equally as important and neither can exist without the other, the problem is physicists are too far up their own arses
It's Apple so it's gonna be "8-10% not worse", let's be honest. You get apple if you want bragging rights (why anyone would brag about spending twice the money on half the product is still beyond me but non the less.) It you want your money's worth you buy literally anything else.
I would agree with you, except in this case you're dealing with the U.S.Military. I would refer you to the book and movie The Pentagon Wars. I'm giving you a link to the movie. While you are watching it keep in mind the reality was much worse and more complicated. They simplified the story for the movie. It was a 1998 HBO movie. However it does illustrate my point. Especially from the 22:40 mark to the 34:23 mark. It's a good movie, sort of black comedy very entertaining, yet disheartening and scary at the same time. th-cam.com/video/ir0FAa8P2MU/w-d-xo.html
His words about Apple making new iPhone every single year because they improve it permanently and can't stop with new release and make customers wait -this is a pure hypocrisy. All major consumer product manufacturers are interested in only one thing - get permanent (growing) profits and they don't care about consumer satisfaction. Most of them could have easily release 'a perfect product' at once, but in this case their business would be ruined because they have nothing in stock for the next release for the higher price. Even more than that, quite often nowadays they release products that are step back from previous versions which gives them a new margin for future 'improvements'. Example: MS Word 6.0 vs MS Office 20 - Word 6.0 accidentally happened to be a perfect text editor so that's why they had to discontinue it at once and now every year they make customers to by new and new totally crappy and over-complicated 'improvements'.
Is this a conspiracy theory? If it was true that every big company is holding back on making the perfect product leaving bugs and room for improvement, all it would take is 1 company to make the "perfect" phone and the rest would be screwed. "Perfect" is relative here because some people might use the camera more then they would the gaming applications. Therefore, only part of the population would find this new phone to be perfect while the others are waiting for improvements in future generations. Apple was caught messing with the battery life of older iPhones after new software patches are released, which is why I don't recommend people update their phone if the update does them no good. th-cam.com/video/Kp2Hgw_VoHo/w-d-xo.html
Your first point between physicist and engineers was very interesting.
I kinda want you to react to every episode now. These are great

I gotta give a slight edge to the engineers, they're just cooler ahaha
I'm on the math side, and we laughs at things that engineering and physics think is abstract and intangible. hahaha.
fasho
Everything is part of science, physics is math

@@diablo.the.cheater and then you forget a semicolon and the whole thing collapses (I speak from my own mistakes)
They did get it extended 2 years
That makes sense
hahah military meeting a deadline ...
Please give this guy more subscribers
XD the Air Force is actually like this on the daily.
Working with DARPA, I2WD, JIEDO, etc, I find the government always tries to use misson creep to get more for less and push the limits of a contract.

Awesome videos!
I am having a hard time deciding between engineering, physics, and mathematics.
Engineering
@@cptclonks7279 lol I figured it out
Physics!
Take physics only if you have an interest in it....and engineering is done by all in my country
I'm not, physics is way better. Physicists are smarter and more interesting in every conceivable way.
you should have watched the other vids they dont need a deadline cause they are working with the navy
How is it unrealistic to have an engine in an apartment?
That depends,
Working or at all?

sorry i know late but fyi Apple does not innovate. They just take other people's shit and combine or sorta make better
