    I have been on cpp-d since 35. I have never been asked for an update in 13 years. I guess I have something to look forward to 😊. This comment might trigger a review too, but who knows 🤷🏼‍♀️

    Why is CPP Disability taxed and ODSP not? I receive $1046 per month no meds coverage, no glasses no dental coverage while ODSP gets everything covered and receive over $1200 a month non taxable. ODSP deducts spousal support dollar for dollar yet you can work and earn $1000 a month and it not affect your cheque amount at all. How is that right. I worked my entire life.

    Can you find out if someone reported it as a fraud and then seek legal action for defamation and damages

    60 year old Ottawa Male with Anal Cancer in remission and permanent Colostomy. Not work much in Life. Long-term Ontario Works then ODSP. Can't lift heavy items for fear of Hernias. Does the benefit screw up your ODSP payments?

    What if you are on CPPD and now turn 55 where as you could begin receiving early Company Defined Benefit pension. Would CCPD then stop? Is that considered earning income ?

    Very useful information Sir. I am 64 and I have some physical issues and sure I will get disability benefits if apply but it will be only for a year as it will get converted in cpp. My question isn't after conversion into cpp my benefits will stay same or less amount. Thank you sir

      Applying for CPP disability won't reduce the amount of your CPP retirement payment at age 65. Often getting CPP disability will increase the amount of the CPP retirement pension. But in your case with one year only, it likely won't make any differnce

    Is it worth it to apply for cppd when I am on ODSP in Ontario? I am long term disabled with many health issues one major being stage 4 cirhossis. With rate of inflation and current rent prices, its barely sustainable. So just thought Id ask someone who may have knowledge in this area.

    Would you kindly explain qpp disability ?

    • @thecppdisabilitychannel2048
      @thecppdisabilitychannel2048  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      QPP disability is the Quebec equivalent of CPP disability. The programs are almost identical. We don't have experience with QPP cases, but you would follow a very similar process as with CPP. You just have to apply through the QPP agency.

    Until you reach 65 and it’s automatically turn into CPP , and you may get less $$$ like me ( I got $,200 + / month on CPPD , but only $ 1.100 / month on CPP )

    Once you hit 65 your physical or mentel disabilty will automatically go away and you will no longer be disable.
    Congrats you are healed!
    After you hit 65 you can automatically go back to work and toss the wheelchair in the recycle bin!
    What on earth have we been paying into Canada Pension for? Why on earth should you lose the portion of the disability benefits as you get older.
    I just might challenge the Federal Govt on this through the Human Right Code.
    This makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.
    Who agrees with me?
