I lived in lowanna for over 20yrs and between logging , exploring and trailbike riding ive covered quite a bit of ground around the local area , the first mine was an adit , it was directly below the quarry but the entrance has filled with all the runoff from the quarry and you cant get inside anymore , the second site has a whole lot more workings down further with massive amounts of quartz laying on the ground , theres some really large and interesting quartz reefs in the sides of the mineshafts as well 😃
That's awesome mate! Thanks so much for the info, it sounds like I'm going to have to head back to those sites and do some more exploring out there. If there's any other good sites in the area up there you recommend I'd love to hear about them :)
Thanks mate really appreciated! Crazy what you can find that's been lost and forgotten in the hills around here. So much to explore as you well know! Fortunate to live where we do :)
@@TheBeatenTrak so true mate! Really keen to get out and uncover a bit more of the history out there! Not a whole heap of info out there but keen to see what I can find🤙🥾
Interesting adventure
Thanks 😄
