Thankis. I have a lack of familiarity with this design prinicple. It works. You didn't mention the part that bothered me. On the four screw thingy things, the far end is put against the part of the wall you're gating, top and bottom left and right. The lossey cap is then turned so that it travels to toward the middle of the gate, very quickly or eventually reaching where there's no room left to go and in the process squeezing the gate orthogonal, whiich means of or involving right angles or at right angles. "Squared upright" the gate latches. It does seem a pretty flimsy method, plastic kind of cutting on metal threads to tighten, but I suspect you'd have to use this thing hundreds of times before it was useless. I ain't gonna count.

Someone just gave this to me and my extension doesn't seem to be as tall as the actual gate do you know what's wrong

my extension works well for me. but i dont use it as much because i dont need to.

I couldn't get the gap to decrease between the latch mechanism and the gate frame. You showed us that tightening the spindles lessened the gap - but it didn't for me when I tried - and you didn't show us that actually happening - just the end result where the latch gap was gone. It's a shame the tutorials I've watched on the 'Carlson' product rattle through the process and are not detailed enough.

If you tightened the 4 corners of the gate and still not closing, perhaps, the door way is too wide for the gate? Have you try to put in extension part of the gate?
