Another good presentation!. Excellent job on the blue Bel Air, what a beautiful engine!. Thanks Shawn for uploading. Thumbs up for your video... Greetings!.
Damn brother, she’s looking good. I love your chassis pan. It looks great. Same with motor. Looks awesome, and I would never have known the manifolds supposed to be silver until you said so. And your right about PE. I’ve never used the full set on a model yet. And I tried bending some wipers once and that was it for me. Can’t wait to see her done. Colors are spectacular.
Yeah some of the P E. is just overkill for sure and doesn't even look better than the parts they replace lol 😆! Thank you Robert I appreciate you brother ❤️
Bro that's definitely one of the best 57 Chevy kits because the AMT 57 Chevy Street Machine kit is the same as that one, but with custom chassis.... I have one of each and they really are nice kits.. 😎👍
Looks Awesome Shawn!!!! 👍👍 I have never used photo etch but I agree, if it is not needed it is dumb... Lol So are you two boys January Boys? Nosy 👃... Mine is this month. LLAP 🖖
@@thescalemodelcarguychannel8681Your welcome Shawn... No kidding... Mine is a day before yours... How cool is that! Mom said I was born on the 31st and the Hospital was wrong, Mom's are always right. Right? She checked it at 11:10pm and went in to the delivery room at 11:55pm... An I was born at 12:15am and the hospital use the time she went into the delivery room. Mom says, an Mom's are always right! 😁 Of course the Federal Government is going to beleave the Hospital because we celebrated it on the 31th for 35 years then one day the IRS said it was the 30th... Lol so now it is the 30th because of a someone foobaring my day... LLAP 🖖
That is great progress on the Bel-Air, I like a lot of the older American cars like this car, as a military modeller I could be made to buildva few of these cars, best regards from Australia
@@MetalMania3DTV-TAS-AUS greetings KC, great to hear from you, I assume you are into cars more than military modelling, I am interested in civvie vehicles but I am more into military, hope all is going well for you in Tassie, a place I must visit one day, take care and happy modelling for 2024,
Justin did sent you a really nice kit Shawn! Great job done on the bel air! Nice update, thanks for sharing, take care and keep up the good work my friend!
Looking great Shawn and I agree, that has to be the best AMT kit on the market, I am in the final stages of mine and I did it as a bit of a custom. Awesome kit brother. Cheers
A nice gift from Justin now tell me you didn't send him your old bay watch posters in return . The bel air is looking the business Shawn , you and the mrs enjoy your weekend . Regards Gav.
That's a much better kit than the old one,Shawn 😀🤓. The moulded chevron look fine and I bet the etch ones would be a female dog to fold evenly..Good luck with the rest of the build and best wishes from jolly old England👍😎 Pete 🤓
Awesome progress Shawn! I keep telling myself I need to track this kit down but haven’t done it yet. I absolutely love the blues and the wheels and hubcaps look fantastic
Haaa talk about a coincidence,,I was checking out some stalled kits and I came across my 57 Chevy kit, same one as yours but it's almost finished,,mines yellow and black but I really like your interior colors, catch you later buddy Glen
Hi Shawn, just watched both these videos for the chevy and man that thing looks so cool on camera! I never actually appreciated those revell caps before but seeing them on this one and how perfect they look has made me realize the caps were never the issue... It was that janky revell kit that was the problem 😂 but it was a cool kit in its own right and still has its place in model history 🙂 completely with you over some of the photo etch parts and i would have done the same when they get too fiddly to deal with but the grill and all the other bits really do look well on this amt kit and you are right, its one nice tool this one! Thanks again for everything mate and really missed watching stuff on TH-cam but slowly getting myself up to speed... Sending much love brother to you and the family ❤ speak soon Shawn!
Thank you very much for the kind words my brother ❤️ and it really is a cool kit and the revell hubcaps with the amt spinners go together very nicely and I'll talk to you soon John 😀
I have that kit. always wanted to build it but when I bought it I did not have the building skills as I do now. Maybe I will tackle it one of this days.
The '57 is looking good. Now tell me, is that kit the same kit as the one AMT used for the Coca- Cola '57 Chevy with the exclusion of the PE, plug wires and foil? The reason I ask is because the one I did had the separate frame and individual interior panels. However, I think mine had separate steel wheels and hub caps instead of the one piece w/ hub caps. Anyway, I thought that '57 was pretty detailed as far as AMT kits are concerned. Definitely not like the newer '57 that's baby blue on the box art. Can't wait to see it, Shawn.
Rob I've never seen that Coca-Cola version, but if the trunk opens and it has a separate frame it should be the same kit? I want to ask you can I call this build my Fat, Fender,Fins and Chrome GB build?
That 2 tone blue interior is awesome
Thank you very much Brent ❤️
