5:22 There's actually a fan-theory that might fit this for weird reasons. When SA2 was announced, Tails was not listed as a playable character. So, there was fan outcry. It's always been a theory since that the addition of Tails was in response to this rather than bait, and if they copied some code in a hurry it might explain why these "two" are "one". You're obviously triggering something involving them both at the same time, which means it's possible for the code to forget who is who, which means there's some reused coding between them.
Well tails and egg man is hella similar. I mean they nearly a reskin of each other

I cant believe the patience you have to deal with some of the crashes that come from messing with SA2's character interactions.
It's definitely a long process, but it's something I've been interested in for a long time. At this point I felt kinda personally obligated to finish what I had started years ago!

I believe the reason eggman mixes with tails is because eggman essentially is a copy of tails in a mech. And the developers just forgot to clean up any references to tails in his code. And I mean for his specific stuff. Since odds are the game is object oriented regarding how it was programmed. So some jank with inheritance definitely has to be happening.
that's weird, I'm pretty sure Eggman existed before Tails did in this game so why would he default to Tails's animations?
I love doing this kind of stuff. I once loaded Super Sonic vs Shadow on the Metal Harbor boss battle (Tails vs Eggman.) Both Sonic and Shadow were invincible so the battle couldn't end. Fun part was shadow would screech like a mutant Chao when he got hit though.

The turok 2 multiplayer warp glitch is actually one of the few glitches I found as a kid without looking on the internet. The game runs slow due to two people playing and you only have access to the multiplayer weapons. But the game actually played fine until you tried to warp. If one player warped, then into the void the player went. If the other followed. Then into the void and you would have to use the warp cheat. You could actually get the warp to work if both players entered at the same time. But it hardly worked. Truly, one of the best game breaking cheats on the 64.
@Cursed_Husband Mk12 I think me and my brother got one or two of the portals to work once or twice and we had to enter at the same time. I think one was in the death marshes and the other was the first portal in the port of Ardia As for the single player weapons in multiplayer. I don't think you can. Even with the all weapons cheat. They might of been available in the original PC release.
@Cursed_Husband Mk12 The river of souls level is the dino ride one. Your right, you could clip through the map to get to the end. But you technically couldn't finish it. As for PC ports, there was one for Turok 1, 2 and Evolution. Nightdive remastered Turok 1 and Turok 2 a couple of years ago. They are moddable on PC and Turok 2 actually has a co-op mod. So you can now play the game with people online. But if you just want to play them stock. They are available on current consoles.

A lot of older software has weird/dumb system couplings like this, unfortunately. Why Sonic Team thought it would be a good idea to pair characters to specific levels, I will never know.

5:43 on the actual GameCube version it would crash right before loading Sonic. In fact playing SA2B on dolphin using these mods it would crash less than using them on an actual GameCube/Wii.

You sound so outdated when you say Amy is useless in this game.
Without her Shadow will never save the world properly and she was the must annoying character to deal with AGAINTS 2 players mode because she spams you attacks that make you unplayable. Need to be a good player to enjoy her low speed n yada yada the shit people talking about her.
