I would like to mention that this was a very dark, moonless night. During landing, the pilots didn’t turn on the full assortment of wing lights. As a result, I couldn’t get the camera to focus on the wing. This is why the landing focuses on the engine. Just FYI.
Oh now I see the reason why you had to switch to the engine.Awesome flight!

Love the night videos and love night flights as well... but it’s gets a little spooky, cause I can’t help but wonder what do the pilots see?✈️
On nights like this, where there was no moon, it's very easy for pilots to get disoriented. It's called spacial disorientation. When the lights on the ground look just like stars in the sky, it can all melt into something your brain has a hard time figuring out. This has been the cause of several major aviation disasters. Pilots get confused, and don't look at their instruments. This is one of many reasons why pilots are taught to trust their instruments from the very beginning of their training. Even without clouds in the sky, your instruments can be very important.
@@sla31 That does sound scary...It’s like pilots truly have a thankless job, people don’t know what really is happening in the cockpit. They do perform an essential service.

Thanks my friend! Sounds like a short flight! I've never flown between Tulsa and Joplin, but I have flown between Springfield, Missouri and Joplin. Which is only about 1 hours drive.

So, quick question. Do you prefer the engine to be a P&W or A rolls royce engine, on the 757 during the engine start? I prefer the P&W because it has more bass in my opinion, but Let me know your opinion with replies.
I actually prefer the Rolls on the 757. Especially if you're in front of the wing.

I don't really have a favorite. I fly a lot of different airlines so it's not the same thing over and over again. I like Delta, and Southwest. I also like American, but my view on them may be skewed because I've had status with American for so long. If I didn't have status on American I don't think I'd like them as much. I don't like Spirit, Allegiant, or Frontier.

@@sla31 Tulsa has been locked down. I work for the City and it's already a fire able offense here. Tulsa has a mask mandate. It's no fun
