Any one walking along the chain road would think it was an old farm building not a steam fan for a pit what do yer reckon Walker bros Wigan indestructible fan . think the chain would have been run by another steam engine at the pit
@@rossendalecollieries7995 thankyou for getting intouch do you do walking tours if so they'd be great ( butties n binocs) during spring n summer I live over in waterfoot there's another mine shaft at clowbridge near nutshaw kennels I saw the Walker bros fan running at parsonage pit it was massive also victor achter (victor shafter) sunk a borehole into the hapton valley workings and pumped the water out for the dye house after treatment regards chris

Steam driven Chris. there was a walkers fan at the new pit but that was steam. I saw it in situ...only 10' dia or so
