I got both these armies as well. In fact, when I started playing back in the very beginning of third edition, Space Wolves were my first army and World Eaters were my second.

Man those cohorts of Khorne can really MOVE! +2 inches with advance&charge is incredible.
Combos for me that have worked so far are: Ragnar + bloodclaws in a transport with advance and charge for some great flanking and board control; longfangs with grav are nasty; wulfen dread with tank shock and inbuilt mortals hits like a truck; and Harald with TWC is scary.

I like Ragnar with grey hunters as well, as they can advance and shoot, so combined with Ragnar can advance shoot and charge

52:35 If you Consolidate you must FIRST Consolidate into any enemy Unit. If you cannot then you can Consolidate towards an Objective but ONLY if that would bring a model within 3" of the Objective. If neither of those conditions can be fulfilled then the unit can't Consolidate. You can also choose not to Consolidate, you never HAVE to.
This was so enjoyable to watch! Excellently painted armies and a great narrative. - I know it can be tough to not let the salt buildup over Tzeentch betraying you with the dice, but it’s sooooo much better. Cheers Luke and Tom 🍻

Ulrik the slayer with 10 wolf guard is the best combination for space wolves
Having logan grimnar with a wolf guard battle Leader with 6 thunderwolf cavalry
And ragnar blackmane with 5 Assault intercessors in an impulsor to delete things off objectives

@@Dagenham_Swish when wolf guard have a charachter leading them the add one to their hits so now a 2+...in a squad of 10 they have 40 attacks...ulrik grants re rolls to 1 for hits and wounds...but against charachters vehicles and monsters re roll all hits and wounds so very reliable hits

@@HELWINTER333 yeah that is pretty good. I'd be concerned about delivery, though everyone with a storm shield mitigates that somewhat.
I still feel 6 thunderwolves with harald leading them is more beneficial, especially if running gladius. Yes gladius is not as fluffy, but I find the extent of book keeping and finicky playstyle of Champions of Russ is neither fun nor exactly screams "drunk astartes want to rumble"
Did you know? The upgrades for wolf characters are there to help them to get each one of the sagas. I Think the most useful sagas are the saga of the magesty (for scoring) and the saga of the warrior born (for charges with the strat), but only if you get it earlier in the game

So as a space wolf player, doing my lists with more primaris and more guns, I run the twolf with both battle leader and wolf lord. Great mobile combination, just remember the abilities from the battle leader to possibly charge into an enemy in their shooting phase like the world eaters ability. Can shot down a charge and allow fight first. Plus the way the rule on murderfang about fighting after being attacked, they ruled it even if he was destroyed he can still fight in my local area.

I doubt that is how the rule should be played as it would mean death company dreadnoughts get the same
Also I find it’s best to equip Bjorn with the hellfrost cannon, nice focused damage 5 or dispersed torrent version which is handy for overwatch

Yeah I sent them in at the end of 9th Edition. They may improve when the new codex comes along down the line👍🙂🤔
We can only hope the hammer is a typo lol. If it pops up to a str 10 thunderhammer then they're playable again imo (I mean I'd prefer if they were a more expensive terminator level threat but I'll take what I can get)

For the wolves, had alot of luck with long fangs and utilizing land raiders for delivery. Tanks are tougher to pop in 10th and can absorb a lot of fire and keep the blood claws alive giving them a much greater chance of getting a charge off. Oh and Ragnar is really solid as well. Really enjoyed the game and I'm an avid wolves player, for better or for worse =D. Cheers and thanks for the batrep!
Also, not sure if Tom used any really powerful Strats but remember to use Bjorn's once per game ability to make a Strat cost +1CP. This CAN be used on Core Strats as well such as Counter Offensive or Command Reroll.

I don't think I've ever seen an army so dominant when it comes to melee. Space Wolvrs getting completely humbled at their own game. I played a game the other fay as Wolves vs Blood Angels and they've definitely been hit hard in 10th like most. The bite from a wolf is now much less threatening
Note to self: never leave characters as close as possible to the enemy if they can potentially charge you in the first round. Specially if they got the assasination objective 🤔

I recon that maybe SW activated the Saga of the Bear too, when the Wolf Lord on Mount was reduced to 1 wound and survived at the end of the round?? Maybe because was at the end of the round and not turn and I'm not sure about the turn sequence between the players...
Or maybe the Wolf Leader on Mount did it...

Without a decent spread of shooting I dont give my Fenrisian boys much chance. Really feels like the Space Wolves are being pulled away from being an assualt leaning army and are just a Space Marine combined forces army.
I hope to adapt the army and see if they can be more effective. They need to work well in combat👍🙂

Question. After the MoE wounded the leader of the wolf unit I thought models that already had wounds had to continue taking wounds. I thought that's what made precision so incredible
No, the rules specifically state that later wounds are not then put onto a wounded leader. Precision only allows wounds to be allocated to a leader when a weapon with precision causes them; it does not subsequently make the leader vulnerable to non-precision attacks.

Not sure its ability allows fights on death. Frankly, it is one of the most ambiguous special rules I have come across in the whole edition

If you were to upgrade your space wolf force and stay with firstborn you should add Long Fangs. Also embed some melts guns in the bloodclaw and greyhunter units. They can bring quite a lot of hard hitting guns and still running infantry.
