Jin has actually the most loved and appreciated solo songs in the fandom, Epiphany is so iconic and one of the most popular bts songs in the fandom, and it's his song. I guess he just has less solo stans than the other vocalists, but i wouldn't call him under appreciated in the fandom. Maybe that was actually the case a few years ago, but i feel like as the time passed he got the recognition he truly deserve. That man is too talented to be underrated lmao.
The reason he's considered "underrated" is because he has the least lines in most BTS songs. He is also the only member who didn't grow up with a musical background. He was an acting student in university when he was scouted off the streets for his good looks, hence why he is the official visual (a title given to the "best looking" member) of the group, and even auditioned to be an actor. But he's actually the most critically acclaimed BTS member vocally. For example, his solo song "Moon" is #5 on Rolling Stone magazine's "Best Boy Band Songs of All Time" list and #7 on Rolling Stone magazine's "Top 25 Songs of 2020" list. No other BTS member can say that. Those who say that only base that kind of thinking by comparing him to the other 3 vocalists, the maknaes who we all know has the most amount of solo stans, therefore they commit to streaming their faves fancams, increase their BR, etc. (props to them). Most of Jin biased ARMY (he does have solo stans too ugh i don't like solos) are working class, not much time to stream his fancams and BR (which I think is not that really important, the boys don't gain anything from those fan cams) and Brand Ranking is not that much important to BTS nowadays, they no longer need those, they are the biggest group in the world, they are the brand, the brands need them not the other way around. A lot of us appreciate Jin, thats why RJ is the most sold out character in BT21, his songs Abyss and Tonight are one of the most commented songs on Soundcloud as we leave comments about how much we appreciate him and his voice, etc. He is trending almost everyday on Twitter, the most critically acclaimed vocalist in the band, etc. He might not be as popular as the other members, but popularity is not the same as being appreciated. ARMY loves and appreciate and support everything he does dearly, just as we do with the other members.

i would say that when i joined the fandom back in 2018 jin was much more underappreciated by a lot of armys but over the years he's been getting so much love and support and we always try to make him confident in his voice. i always felt that he has a voice that conveys a lot of emotion but he says he struggles showing emotion in his voice which i was always confused about,, anyway, thank u for reacting!

He is literally so good with a unique flavour and texture to his voice! This used to be a myth during BTS debut days cause JK used to sing the most in songs that's because his vocal colour suited the songs more.. the moment BTS started releasing solo songs it was pretty evident that each member is amazing vocally and have their own strengths.. Jin is more Ballad singer..even in most of BTS ballad songs and Japanese songs Jin usually shines the most!
He is not interested to sing until he joined BigHit and learn how to sing at his 20 years age. Now his vocal technique improved a lot. According to his vocal coach, his vocal was transform, because the improvement is huge. He is "amaJIN".
Well, what surprises me the most is that none of the BTS members were singers, or at least, were aspiring to become vocalists. Jin was just a university student to become an actor but was found on the streets, Taehyung literally just got picked up by chance, and Jimin was a dancer. JK also mentioned that all he wanted to do was dance, and was surprised himself when he got the main vocalist position. They literally had to start from nothing, and I would say their progress right now shows talent, but more than that, the effort they put in. Also, idols most of the time, spend more hours practicing dancing than singing, cos dancing is what they're known for. There are plenty of singers who sing better than them, but I don't think there will be many who can sing and dance at the same time for hours to the point of collapsing
