And the way he combines his high range with his beautiful falsetto, his clean, clear, piercing tone, his ability to smoothly and frequently transition from head to chest voice, his breath control, his reliability and stability in live performance and, most of all, the deep meaningful emotion he infuses into the song--Jin said he does yet feel like he has arrived as a singer (in Rolling Stone), but I think he not only arrived he became the life of the party!

Hearing them side by side like this just re-affirmed to me that the studio versions just don't/can't capture the power in Jin's voice.

Wow, Jin's voice will leave you with goosebumps just listening to it. He also has an amazing ability to comfort and heal through his songs.
That's what led me to BTS. I discovered the lyrics and translation video of Epiphany and it helped me sleep every night when I was suffering through nightmares and anxiety. It was only several weeks later I figured out it was Jin from BTS and saw how handsome he is. It was the healing power and beauty of Jin's voice that brought me here and I will always be thankful for it.
As for the goosebumps, I love that we can see the physical reaction these listeners have, shivering, hugging themselves, clutching their heart, covering their mouth, tearing up, etc. I think it's Jin with his greatest strength, the power to move, to share emotions, to make you feel.
@@michellesheaff3779 Thank you for sharing your story. It's beautiful! It was also Jin's voice that led me to BTS and it was not even an emotional song. It was his line "you're one, you're two" in Boy with Luv. His voice caught my attention. Plus, he is also good-looking (I'm an OT7 but the more I know about Jin, the more I see him as a complete package yet low-key).
Anyway, I hope you've heard the songs that he has written/composed/sang. Awake - he wrote it cuz he felt he didn't deserve to be with BTS. He graduated as an acting major when he was scouted so he felt he didn't have the skills to sing and dance. But through his diligence look at him now? I actually thought he auditioned for BTS. BTW, he also managed to get an MBA while being with BTS. That's why he's called JINius.😁
Abyss - he wrote it when he suffered depression during this pandemic.
Tonight - is a tribute to his beloved cat.
Moon - a song he wrote for the ARMY. The ARMY as the earth and Jin as the moon orbiting the earth and watching from afar.

He is the king of high notes. He is the one and only silver vocalist. Most importantly he is my healer. His Epiphany is my healing song. He is a gifted singer because he can convey emotions through his heavenly vocals.

People keep talking about Jin High notes but the more difficult thing to do is to reach those high notes and convey all the painfull emotions, the crying, the desperation . And I dont care who sings better but Jin is the king when it comes to pain, despair, emotions and so on (let go, go back home, etc) . While V is the king of Sexiness, Jimin the angel in disguise and JK the pop star. Just my opinion. Jin live in concert will give you goosebumps and make you cry. Just my humble opinion
I agree so much with this. I keep telling people who has never been to their concert that once they go to one of their concert they will know why I always say jin is the best and most stable vocalist in bts. Seriously recordings dont do his voice justice.

Every time he hits the notes ppl sit up & say “JIN!”. Good vid. There’s definitely a need for more“Jin appreciation” because ppl are sleeping on my boys skills. He is simply amazing knowing that he never intended to become a vocalist. His hard work has been paying off dividends 👏 💜
They need to hear Abyss. Not just high notes but single note transitions from baritone to falsetto and back. It's breathtaking, goosebump style.

The reason for such reactions:
First, When you hear Jin's highnotes it touches a place in your body that you never knew existed and after being discovered they give you the warmth you've never felt before.
And the second is, People underestimate Jin a lot really a lot!!
When I first heard the song Your Eyes Tell (it was w/o subtitles) I cried for about 1 hour continuously just because of Jin's these vocals filled with very emotional emotions.

Honestly when I listen to a BTS song I'm waiting for Jin's turn. I love them all and they're all great vocalists and rappers but I can't love a BTS song until Jin has sung. And sadly it seems like he's always last to get a turn. Once I've made peace with however late or little his part is, then I can enjoy and appreciate the whole song.

It does the heart good to see people having such big reactions to Jin'x vocal range and tone. This is just what I needed after running into a toxic solo stan who said Jin can't sing. All these youtubers are obviously having genuine reactions, they're really surprised and moved, and they're not a bunch of Oscar-winning actors, no way they could fake that. It is NOT fake love, some of them even got teary-eyed.
