And let's not forget that if Jimin can make guys question their sexuality, Jin was voted as the most attractive idol by gay Korean men. I swear, BTS is just a group of ultra super multi-talented and unique men.
well he is the most popular Idol among gay community too. jin's nicknames are the funniest nicknames I ever heard , like " the sexy man who can cook " , "manner-dol" , " its him again" , and many more weird nicknames but lets not forget the most important ones "worldwide handsome " , "visual king " , " golden ratio" , "car door guy" and the third guy from the left, lmao.

Seokjin’s vocals are insane. He has an incredible upper range for a male vocalist and technically holds the title for the highest belt in the entire group. His voice also gets a lot of critical acclaim, he was specifically titled silver voice by the recording academy, the kmas (the most prestigious award show in Korea) specifically pointed out his vocals in fake love for their soty nomination, and hishigh note in Dionysus was labeled the best moment of mots 7 by NME. Vocal coaches have pointed out his stability and range time and time again.
It always irritates me when the only thing people have to say about him is that he “improved”. Yes, he improved and it’s good to recognize that but it is also important to recognize that right now he is an incredible singer in his own right regardless of his starting point. People love to push the “weakest vocalist” narrative on him when he isn’t. In fact there is no “weakest” vocalist in bts. It’s really hard to rank them because they all hold such unique vocal colors and talents that you can’t really pit them up against each other. When I got into bts I loved jin’s voice the most, other people like jk, tae, or jimin. There really isn’t a right answer for best or worst vocalist because they’re all so incredibly talented in their own way. Thank you for the reaction💜

I agree! Our Seokjinnie deserves way more credit and love than he gets. It actually hurts me and makes me sad. BTS consists of 7 members, not just peoples personal favorites. All of them are extremely talented and they all deserve all the love in the world.

Jin invited his vocal teacher to bts concert and she cried watching Jin singing. She taught Jin from the very start of his vocal experience. She said Jin was the best student she has ever met. He really improved a lot.

Before I even knew Jin's background, I picked him as my favorite vocalist because he made me FEEL the most. So emotional. Such power. He's a beautiful balladeer but he's proven he can really do any genre. And having seen them live in person twice, Jin is the most stable vocalist--he sounds just like the record and his pitch is great (though, to be fair, his choreo is generally simpler when singing than JK so Koo gets extra points for that, for sure).

Jin's a powerful balladeer. His voice is pure, especially when hitting his falsetto. He does good breathy voices as well as full-on chest and head voice. He sings sincerely when he's on stage. I think this was because he had the least lines in a song way back because the producers didn't think his voice was that good. So when he gets the chance, he will sing it with all he' s got.

purple u it changed in recent years , its kinda old news, and there is another thing, if u pay attention jin mostly get the important parts in songs, parts that get attention example his part in blood sweat and tears and he was still the main character, or fire or DNA, comeback home and ... ( this comeback it wasnt in the lead singles but in b-sides ) the thing is the whole group should get the balanced attention, jin and tae get more attention cuz of their looks so they kinda balance it by giving them less lines.
He fits every genre not just Ballad look at moon, dionysus etc

taehyung: widest range, can hit high notes, his baritone deep voice melts you, most soothing voice in my opinion also king of growling and rasp
jin : power house vocals, has a really wide range too can go high but also deep, most emotional voice in my opinion
jungkook: stability king, eats cds for breakfast, breathy beautiful vocals
jimin: king of high notes, his raspy voice is everything, unique high pitched voice
in conclusion bts vocal line superior

one strength of Jin's vocals is the fact that it's full of emotions...maybe also because he studied acting first before he became a singer so when he performs he can emotionally draw you into feeling the song as well.
Jins vocal coach is so proud of him..she said that jins voice did not just improve jins vocal evolve she said..

You know the 7 of them have stage presence, and how much so, but that night of June 2019, Jin’s stage presence was overwhelming the huge French stadium. He bolted out with his powerful and sensitive voice but also you could feel his warm gentleness, his care for his members and dedication as a performer. All the members love Jin and I know why : he is the keystone to the team on and off stage !

They all have a strong voice, but Jin's is arguably the most textured and power hitting...JK could cover for him maybe but I don't think it would bring the same feel that Jin brings.

Seokjin's voice is definitely unique and for me, it is my favourite voice of all time. I love the piercing and strong emotions that come in perfectly as he delivers the lyrics but he also has such a soft, gentle voice when he wants to.
Jin is my bias. He has amazing voice and needs to get more recognition and not just stuck in the back of the other members!! He should play a more front and center part in BTS, that's my opinion!!!

Jin is my bias and the one who has the most impactful voice. He has gone viral amongst non-fans because of his performance plenty of times. I remember when bts had a concert in Saudi Arabia, jin started trending after his performance of epiphany, epiphany charted at no. 1 after the concert and according to the search, he was the most talked-about member in that country after that concert because everyone loved his voice and performance so much.

Jin has a bell-like voice. It rings and is so clear. It is a very beautiful instrument, and he’s come so far and worked so hard. It’s time he received more recognition.
Technicality and Stability wise is why Jungkook is the Main Vocalist. You’ll be surprised of how much background vocals Jungkook does. Like it’s unreal how he hits notes perfectly without shaking or going flat. His execution whenever he is singing is *chefs kiss* however that doesn’t mean that everyone else isn’t amazing it’s just that he’s also had the most experienced. Usually people choose favorite vocalists by the vocal color they like the most. For me Jin is my favorite vocalist.

i have to disagree because it does and his title will always be connected to his role in BTS. JK is an all rounder and build the structure but mostly put final touches in one track. Namjoon said there is no replacement for jungkook. However I agree for each one of the vocal line deserves to be the main vocalist as they continue to prove themselves each time that their voices are very distinct and are a high quality one making bts' track more beautiful, raw, sincere and unique compare to their peers. 💜
El le well RM also said jin is the secret weapon of bts and even in his TUT review he said jin was the best between the vocal line, the point there is no replacement for any member , the reason I still think jk deserve to be the main vocal isnt his stability or technique cuz jin is definitely on par with him on this and even got huge music critics praise his skills, jk was picked as the main vocal cuz at that time he was by far the best vocalist, the reason he still deserve the title is cuz other than his skills jk is like the glue which link all the members voices togehter , and he is the most confident in his vocal and pfc king of ad libs .

I personally don't take those positions into account because it would be denying their progress, fitting them into a position that was chosen by the company 9 years ago. Jin has worked hard on his voice since then and as Jk said he deserves the position of head volcal with all his progress he has earned it.
seokjin is a beast as a vocalist, I have been watching ALL their live performances and he is the best at lives, he not only never makes mistakes but also somehow improves every time he sings live, his vocals are crystal clear, he really has very strong and powerful voice (maybe he has good lungs), his voice is kinda very rich and thick even when he is singing very high his voice isn't becoming thinner but stays as powerful, that's why many ppl don't realize how high his notes are until they try to sing his songs themselves, as you said his voice is strong and loud that's why when several ppl sing together his voice is the one you recognize and can hear the best, his voice color is also very unique, chameleon voice that fits every genre and note bcz he can put emotions in his voice so well, idk know to describe this but he also sings with ease without struggling even while dancing complex choreos, for me he is the best

Jungkook , after watching epiphany said that its time for him to give up his main vocalist position. You’re right about what you said.......Jin does have the strongest voice, he’s more like the powerhouse of the group.......He’s the one literally able to deliver them strong belts so great..........#BTS❤️❤️..
Jin has a deep emotion in every song he sings and also powerful voice
Honestly any member of the vocal line could be the main vocal. I've been told that the main vocal is partially decided by skill but also by whether their voice suites the type of music the group mainly does. I think out of all of them Jungkook has the most commercial voice that suites a lot of genres so that may be part of the reason why he has the title of main vocal (He's also great at ad libs, riffs etc).
For Jin his voice tends to suite ballads (The truth Untold, Epiphany etc.) and even rock songs (Like his cover of Autumn Under The Post Office). He's also great at using his voice to convey strong emotions and is usually very stable even when doing a lot of movements on stage. (I would say him and Jungkook are often the most stable)
V's voice suites slower sultry r&b songs really well (Singularity, Stigma etc.) and in my opinion he has the widest vocal range (he can hit crazy high notes and sing in a very deep tone as well.) I could see him collating with Sam Smith or Gallant.
Jimin's unique vocal tone suits lighter songs more (Filter, Serendipity etc.) His voice has a lot of charm and he's really good at sounding flirty or playful. He also hits some extremely high notes that even women have a hard time reaching.

Jin's voice is used when bts wants the audience to get emotionally caught into the song... jin's voice brings out the emotions in the song and when you hear his voice you feel like its reaching your soul... there is a cry in jin' s voice that shares sadness, love, care, happiness, worry and excitement with the audience. His soulful voice is really the secret weapon to bts songs... for we all know that without that emotional connect words would just remain as words... it's only when the voice touches our soul through words do we get attached to that song, accept it and raise it to the sky
I love Jin's voice. I feel like it really is an anchor for their songs. His ballad vocals are so emotionally intense- can totally make me tear up and cry in an instant. I love how you said he willed himself to the performance level of the others. SO true - considering he was really brought on for his looks.

Listen carefully for Jin's high scream in "Dionysis". He spoke of how the director called him back in to the studio to capture it after all others were done. The voice coach stated that Jin not only improved, but transformed his voice through hard work. I dream of Jin's voice, and think of him like Gladys Knight, a beautiful voice with a touch of pain in the center.

I agree with what you're saying...... some fans just underestimate other members just to bring up and praise their bias's. Even jin knows about this. How solo satns will always compare him with others even in his solo parts. (Ex. Saw a IG clip where jimin was singing epiphany jokingly yet the comments section is full of how if he was serious he can do better than jin. I dunno from where that topic even came. It is ok to praise their bias but just to do it they end up comparing and letting down other members. It's so damn disrespectful and disgusting. )
s_ana 4 no one could do epiphany or awake better than jin, and no one can do songs like promise better than jimin, the point is jin's voice is fuller than all the members jimin's reach high with his falsettos more but jin belt , they are totally different type of singers , and there are clips of jimin trying to hit awake high notes but gave up in the middle, same with jimin solos , his tone is unique and thats what makes his solos interesting , he has this seductive tone in his voice . solo stans are the most annoying ever, they really need to leave jin alone, they really feel threaten by him , it all started after jin got so much attention for his vocals by big names.

Because they don't have ego issues nor they're competitive in a poisonous way (they give their best in their own way without crossing one another). It's the fans (some) who have ego and competitive issues and is threatened if an member other than their bias have a spotlight moment. And yes... their solo's are practically attached to their souls. So no one knows the depth emotions of their solos better than them. That's why only that member can do justice to the song.

Its amazing when Jin belts.. his natural high notes are really good, (not a fan of falsetto) i love singers who belts smoothly like Morisette and Jin.. my king and my queen 💜💜💜
From the beggining Kookie has the strongest and stable voice I guess thts why hes th main vocal BUT...Jin in th other hand has been develope so much base on his amazing wide range, high notes and stablelity (he never crake or false as I remember) to th point Kookie said Jin hyung work hard th most and is ready to take over his main vocal position. Can you believe this man was hving zero experience in singing before? Can you imagine th amount of hard work he put? Incredible, even Jin's vocal coah said instead of develope he transform from a caterpilar into butterfly. A super rare case. Jin even said to hv the 'Silver Voice' by th Grammy panels. He is my inspiration to motivate me to always work harder. And thts not even all, he has so much else as inspirational. I love him so much. But all BTS vocalist are the best to me not only bcuz they good but also bcuz each of them r unique in their own voice colors n yet beautifuly match together.

There's a depth in his voice... as if you can feel his soul poring through all his being. He's an awesome human being and it translates in his singing/interpretations. And my bias is actually JHope ;) . But Jin has grown so much, he deserves all our admiration. He's own growth, for me, is the perfect representation of BTS growth through the years. Love, Angie.

6:37 I am not a vocal coach or anything but after watching their live concert, I can tell you that all of them generally have very strong live vocals *but* I feel like Jin’s live voice is the clearest, and this is probably why you came into the conclusion that his voice is “the loudest” and “the strongest” because you can hear his voice very clearly.
Unsurprisingly, there are many ARMYs who have the same thoughts as mine. Once, I stumbled upon someone who studied about music and he explained that the reason why Jin’s voice sounds very clear is because he probably went through vocal training the longest so he understands the most about how to control his breathing. Therefore, because of his skill and dedication, he has arguably the best technique out of the other vocalists although each member of the vocal line also has their own strength. So basically according to my friend it goes like this:
*Jin: the best technique*
*Jimin: the most unique*
*Taehyung: the widest range*
*Jungkook: the most stable*
Since BTS have to dance while singing and/or rapping at the same time, the company picked Jungkook as the main vocalist. Hope this answers your question!
Jin also has a widest range, too. He can do low notes, too. Yes, I agree he got great vocal techniques and control, but he is also the same as tae that have the widest range. His voice and jk voice is the most stable in live. His voice is also unique, not lot of people can sing his type of songs.

JK said that Jin is ready to be the main vocalist and last year stated that he's going to shatter ceilings with his high notes because no one else can hit them (behind the scenes of Love Yourself Tour). To answer your question, who would hit those notes if not Jin? No one according to JK!!!

Epiphany live made me cry, even if you are not a fan you will still get goosebumps when jin performs epiphany live because his voice is so powerful and emotional that it pierces through your heart.
Ok here's my take on his voice. Before I go further, let me note that Jin is my ultimate bias. He destroyed my heart when I heard Epiphany live at citifield and ever since he's become my ult.
Now, I love to sing and have been trained in indian classical music. So, I try to sing covers of BTS songs that are heavy on the vocal side. I can sing Jimin's, JK's and even Tae's songs fairly well (at least try to do some justice to them). But Jin's songs are beyond my reach. There's just so much color and emotion in his singing that I just cannot get myself to replicate. He is a class apart. I hope BigHit continues to invest in training his voice because I wouldn't want anything bad to happen to him or that beautiful silver voice 😍
I agree the Jin is indeed the most slept on out of the vocal line (and for dancing even though he’s improved so much and work hard😢) as people (especially those newer to Bts) don’t really take the to really get to know each member.
In terms of determining the roles, I can’t say for certain, but when bts first started out jk had the most technical skill in singing so he was the most versatile within their songs (like having the most lines) as a vocal. As time went on, things got spread out more as all the members improved and found their voice. I don’t think BTS even use the term “main vocal” that often anymore. I think they still use terms like “leader” “dance leader” “visual” “rapper” “vocal” instead of “ranking” them, they tend to use more general terms these days. J-Hope is still dance leader since he has the definitive role of leading them in dance, and Rm is leader because (you know why)
Idk I think different members excel at different areas and have their own style so I can’t really rank them at all, all you can do is support and love them all

Those positions were chosen by the company. I personally don't take those positions into account because it would be denying their progress, fitting them into a position that was chosen by the company 9 years ago. Jin has worked hard on his voice since then and as Jk said he deserves the position of head volcal with all his progress he has earned it.

Plus, personally I think Jin sounds the best too when it comes to their Japanese songs (intonation, pronounciation and Sound wise as a whole) also, may I just add that on their song DIONYSUS, during the last chous towards the end, it was revealed that the high note belting in the background that almost sounded like a guitar wawah sound, is actually Jin. the producer once called him to go to the studio and said that he wanted to try something asking Jin to scream a certain way for that part, and it literally worked. it was a laugh for the members but it's actually amazing how it worked in the song. I seriously think Jin would fit in a rock band if he would want to. I mean sheeesh with that range? and that powerful vocals?... heck yeah!

I absolutely adore Seokjin's voice, he always puts me in my feels. He has that raw emotion when he's singing and it goes straight into my soul. He became my bias after I saw him at Wembley last year.
