At that time, our ancestors used to undertake a week-long arduous journey on foot from the village to the Terai region to collect salt, spices, clothes & items of daily needs. Today's new generation is not aware of the hard work of their elders. Once upon a time, there was a lot of activity in the villages between the two cities, the trade was quite flourishing but after the construction of the Butwal-Pokhara-Baglung road, the trade of these villages has completely stopped. What is the condition of that busiest Silk Route nowadays & what has changed in the lifestyle of those villagers?
