I find it difficult to decide between obgyn and internal medicine myself, so I hope things get clear during my internship.
Really appreciate your inspiring video, which you all the best 🌹

They are two very different fields, but there’s good things about both. I would say figure out which one speaks to you the most and which one makes you feel the happiest/fulfilled

Your reasons are so heartfelt and moving! Mine seems so lame in comparison 😂

The reasons itself don't matter in my opinion as long as you love what you do and it makes you happy. Truthfully, that's what's going to motivate you to wake up everyday and get to work even when you're exhausted.

Thanks for posting!! definitely interesting to hear about why people choose their respective fields! I also find my self more heavily interested in the OB side of the specialty at the moment ( im only a 4th year though). It'll be interesting to see how your interests evolve as you progress into your senior residency years! I'll be tuning in! - side note, I know this next question is vvv specific for perhaps a finite subset of your audience so I understand not making a whole video on it. But 1 week out from match week is terrifying to me; explaining what match is/how it works and why its currently terrifying is even more ....terrifying lol. Do you mind replying to my post on your thoughts on post interview communication and if you think it really mattered much at the end of the day? Your page is awesome! have you thought about a crash session video on M1-Match/Graduation/ time-line to becoming a physician/ OBGYN! I'd love to have a video to link when people ask about the journey lol. Sorry for the long post!

Shaunte Wade hey there!!!! Thanks for the comment and I actually have this in my video plans because I have a whole road to residency series over on the blog and it was incredibly successful! I will leave the link here -> mylifeinmedicineblog.com/category/lifestyle-2/medicine/med-school/road-to-residency/
As to your specific question on post interview communication, honestly I don’t think it mattered as much as people make it seem. I did all the things right for my top program even had good feedback from the faculty after my away rotations there and yet I didn’t match there.
