    Our greatest enemy is caring about other peoples opinion. It’s really censoring what we make

      I'd go further to say that it's even stopping some people from even making anything.

    Thank you for compiling these cool tips. I learned a long time ago that you don't have to worry about whether someone likes something or not. And you don't have to compare yourself to anyone. You are original. You do what you like. It should be pleasant for you and no matter how many likes or plays. Of course, one must try to do better and maintain balance and remain humble despite the heights achieved.

    Appreciate all this advice, at the beginning it felt like the song in the background kept getting louder and quieter though, not sure if you ducked your vocals to that beat -- but I suggest keeping the bg music at a stable level in future to prevent a jarring experience for the viewer

    5:40 -- i've written plenty of songs where i've talked myself down and realized they weren't good --- I think a healthy self critique is important to ensure quality, but when you are saying nothing but negative things to yourself, thats when it becomes an issue

    • @JahWebb1223
      @JahWebb1223 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think you are stunting your growth by not putting it out or at least recording it. You need practice recording and everything else that you're not getting to by doubting the writing getting stuck there. P.S. I havent watched the video yet or what ur referring to

    sorry for 3 comments, found your channel yesterday, and it was perfect timing because in 2023 im buckling down and releasing a single every two weeks! yours/the artists' advice is quite helpful -- i know in your other vid you recommended 6-8 weeks but thats too far apart for me
    "the best investment you can make is to invest in yourself" --- is that a you quote or someone else? i'd like to get it tatted

  • @itzyaboybugz

    But. I can post a song per week to Spotify. Submit them to editors. And still get literally 5-10 listens on songs. Nothing works. I’ve got literally 50+ music vids on Worldstar. I post consistently daily to all forms of social media. Someone higher up has my switch turned up. I’m digitally black balled in music industry!

      @@itzyaboybugz sorry bro but maybe you need someone to tell the truth. When you sell a product and no one wants to buy from you maybe your product sucks. I listened to your song "Kenny Powers" and i would rate it a 2/10. The Mix is bad and the Vocals + Beat dont catch me at all. Just putting the work in in the music business dont guarante you success. you need a good product/music in the first place. dont take this as an insult but constructive criticism. Maybe try out new Styles or Focus on the Quality first and if you really have great songs try to promote them.
