I would love to see a bare bones run through of what you put into the description of your pitch. I feel like one of the things that is the downfall of me trying to get my songs on to Spotify editorial playlist. Is the part where you describe your song. Just kind of throwing out an idea for a future video for you that I would love to see you do thanks for putting out a very detailed and informative videos!
At 7:54 we see an album with a future release date from which some songs were already released. How is it possible to achieve that? At least distrokid seems to only allow a single release date for the entire album (as mentioned earlier in the video).
Thanks for the info it’s really helpful. I wanted to ask a question. I have released my first single 3 weeks back and is Spotify ads the only option to promote the song?
This was an eye opener. I only recently started releasing my music 5 months ago. I try to release monthly but I'm a terrible procrastinator. So I end up squeezing in a release right at the end of the month...which means I haven't gotten a chance to ever submit any of my music to the editorial team. Hoping to change my whole game plan now!
hii, i really like ur content/info..........am an artist as well as student i have distributed my soundtrack now and made a date of around after 1 month ....question is am unable to give out my best songs coz of exams but i want to make it after 2 months when my exams are over soooo till that i am uploading sound tracks to make spotify page active.. so should i pitch it the sound track means will this affect my future songs? and is this ok to post soundtracks till exams get over ?
How to upload a remix to spotify with distrokid so i have the same beat but with a feature ? Because i dont know how the Car and google recognition will know the difference?
Hope everyone who sees this gets a chance at there dream!

yea, i'm curious about this too - how do you release an album one single at a time?
You can schedule multiple songs in advance with DistroKid. I recommend a minimum of 3 weeks apart.
You're a legend!
THANKS!
