Thanks for the time and video. There should be a red/yellow/black lettered sticker on your driver's side door jam with all your payload info for the vehicle. Every truck is different based on model and options. For example my F250 Lariat is just under 2847 lb payload
Great job reviewing the sawmills!! Your truck obviously did fine with the load it carried... why do people feel the need to tell you about your truck??!! 🤔🤷♀️ Thanks for always being interesting! God bless you and your family always! 👍♥️🙏
Two item's that are not normal on your mill. The blade is cutting away from the backstops, normally the blade pushes the log against the backstops. And second normally the log sets on the side of the mill where the sawdust exits. You notice you are getting more sawdust exiting the blade than going out the sawdust chute.
I didn't even notice this until I read this comment. Doesn't seem like the best setup to have to walk thru the sawdust pile while pushing the carriage. Definitely seems like the blade should be running the opposite direction.
Must have been a lot of stress in that log for that to now like that as it cut clear. Then again, I've seen a piece of firewood stuck on a 27 ton splitter. I couldn't even cut through it with a chainsaw, so it became fire pit wood.
It's always interesting to see how much tension is in the wood after you cut it. When you stack and stick it for drying, do you orient the bow in the wood a certain way?
Really enjoy your channel and content. I was wondering if you sell stickers from your channel - I didn't see any in your store but would like to add one to my shop. Stay safe.
Hey Adam I am going to guess you are going to be building some sort of a shelter house/gazebo down by your 2nd pond. In any case of whatever you are going to be making will be an enjoyable experience you share with us all.
Do none of these portable saw mills have a power feed option? It seems to me that you would get much more consistent cuts than you would by physically pushing the saw carriagby hand.
Power feed may be faster but I prefer manual push. My lumber is always better looking than the guys with power feeds I cut mainly pine and you have to slow down through the knots. Power feed doesn’t give you that kind of feed back
There was a rarely added HD payload option up to the 22' model year. Very expensive for upgraded axle, springs, frame, etc. Unclear if max tow got these options along with tow hitch and brake controller.
When equipped with the 5.0L V8 engine1 and Heavy-Duty Paayload Package, F-150 leads all competitors with 3,300-lb. max. payload. 2 A similarly equipped F-150 with the 3.5L EcoBoost® engine1 is next highest with 3,270 lbs.
The only thing I see wrong with it is you are eating and breathing sawdust all day long. Why not move controls on the other side or even a handle out away from the exit of sawdust.
What is he gonna build with 9 12’ 4X4? A birdhouse, nah, a soapbox derby car, nah, a pond, nah, a bigger firewood stand, maybe, a treehouse for the youngling, perhaps. I’m done.
Beech wood is no good for anything….it’s a twisted grain…the 4x4’s were bowed terribly as soon as you cut it….plus once it drys out it will split all the way through…….sawmilling for personal projects is ok….but as a small business it’s way way too much work for the return….you can only get so much per board foot for green lumber…..that same log is worth double as firewood….maybe triple if you consider all the time you save in labor not spent wrestling huge logs or slabs of wood……..too much investment….too much labor….too little in return.
At the 7 minute and 17 second mark of video is one of the reasons why I WOULDN'T Buy that machine !!!! Look at the Sawdust storm that you're walking in and breathing the Sawdust ! Your clothes are probably a dusty Mess as well !😊
I'm sorry, but there is no way that truck of yours has a 3200 pound payload. Even an F150 with the heavy duty payload package in a crew cab is probably less than 2500 pounds and your truck doesn't have 7 lug wheels so it is just a standard capacity truck. If you want to know the payload capacity just look at the door jamb sticker and it will tell you exactly how much it's rated for, my guess is around 1800 pounds.
I looked up the ford towing and payload brochure directly from ford the year my truck was manufactured. It says with the 5.0 v8 I have a payload of 3,270

You are crazy if you think that F150 has a cargo capacity of 3200 lbs. Maybe half that. If you had an F250, then yes. Please try again. Show us the sticker on the door. Great videos buddy.

That's one serious piece of equipment right there!
Congrats on the new mill, Adam. The auto log turning feature would be a great productivity addition to your mill.
Build you a railed come-along above the saw mill to help with turning larger logs. !!!! 50 definitely the way to go !!
Very good points on the weight and the space - really great review on all the additional designs, they look fantastic.

That’s a nice, beefy machine. It looked like a smooth cut. Also, great to see how well the lighting is working outside at the mill area.
I really like that hydraulic blade tensioner. That’s a great idea. And putting that hydraulic accumulator on was some real forward thinking.👍
I bet quite nice working during the darkness under those new lights. :)
Yeah. It was 85 all day so I wanted to wait until it started cooling down. Definitely makes it nice
Yeah, wont be long and you'll have that log turner and you will most definitely appreciate it.
Great job reviewing the sawmills!! Your truck obviously did fine with the load it carried... why do people feel the need to tell you about your truck??!! 🤔🤷♀️ Thanks for always being interesting! God bless you and your family always! 👍♥️🙏
I liked your old mill, Adam, but I really like the new 50 model. Simplicity and functionality all in a U.S. made package.
Nice! Log turner: You've got a roof, so an inexpensive electric winch with a cant hook is the cats meow!
Love the reviews Adam. Great job and nice mills!
Now a solar dryer on property looks like it would pay for itself.

Wow, just wow.

I believe the mill head is mounted on the base backwards.
I think it's a wanna be saw mill !!!!!😊
Amazing how much tension is in that log.
I thought the same thing

AWESOME MILL I WANT ONE!
You once told us that Beech is so that it’s difficult to mill. That 50 made short work of it. Nice addition.
Yes it is right up there with hickory on the Janka rating (wood hardness scale)
Would be awesome making your own dimensional lumber. Really cool.
Good morning Adam!!

I would guess I gazebo or shelter down at the new pond.
I am thinks the 4x4's are for a dock in the lower pond
Surely putting the log on the ground or even old sawdust will possibly pick up something the damage the blade.
Look into RAS for payload & towing. You won’t regret it
Damn i thought that payload was too high also but i guess not!
My guess: pavilion at the new pond.
Surely that back tote should have been the other way round so the opening isn't sticking out the back 😮
A swing set for the picnic area by Pond 2.0?
That would have been handy a week ago!
Next up is either a bigger piece of equipment or a gantry crane over the sawmill to move the really big logs 😂
LOL EXACTLY 😊
Making a gazebo for the pond?
You're building a bucking rack like neighbor Doug
Would believe there is a different excavator attachment to handle larger logs.
Wonder where he learned how to do all this!
where is the profit in driving 2.5 hrs to deliver fire wood ?
EXACTLY !!
Hi Adam, after cutting some logs looks like bananas, they are not straight. Is that normal? Greetings from Poland.🖐😀
Damn if I had extra $ right now
Really enjoy your channel and content. I was wondering if you sell stickers from your channel - I didn't see any in your store but would like to add one to my shop. Stay safe.
I don’t unfortunately
next video please should be a pond update!
Gotta build a bridge to span the next pond, duh.
👍
Personal firewood shed?
I’m just trying to figure out who’s going to pay delivery charge and a fuel charge on a two hour delivery one way is firewood that scarce up there?
That wood trip sounds a bit weird !!!!!😊
What do you use 4x4 beech for?
GOOOOOD MAAAWNIN EVERYONE!! from the NHRA races in Concord, NC today….
How are your ponds doing?
I’ll be doing an update soon. Waiting for some wire to come in
pond beach house on the horizon, my guess
Hey Adam I am going to guess you are going to be building some sort of a shelter house/gazebo down by your 2nd pond. In any case of whatever you are going to be making will be an enjoyable experience you share with us all.
Oooooo, I hope so. Adam is the best - always interesting, creative & fun. 👍🌟
ADAM, my guess would be you're going to duplicate "Duggie Dewrite's" log bucking table and on a bigger scale? (Cause you ARE six ft 5" !)
Do none of these portable saw mills have a power feed option? It seems to me that you would get much more consistent cuts than you would by physically pushing the saw carriagby hand.
They do not but that does not bother me
Power feed may be faster but I prefer manual push. My lumber is always better looking than the guys with power feeds

Shelter for pond two..
A gazebo.
a gazebo at the pond
Gazebo by the pond
Seems like way too far to deliver fire wood!🇺🇸
yikes that looks heavy in truck!
That's what I thought...I wouldn't have done it !
IF any profit on that load will eventually be going into repairs for that load one day !!!😊
Lumber storage rack
NO HYDRAULIC LOG TURNER...
Yip it wasn't a joke....but it REALLY is !!!LOL
Hook
No way that payload is more than 2k on the F150

It's a 5 lug. No way, that's going to carry 3,000 lbs.

@@mattmartines7895 that’s the range of payload, not the payload for a specific truck (crew cab, 4x4 = much lower payload)
The only thing I see wrong with it is you are eating and breathing sawdust all day long. Why not move controls on the other side or even a handle out away from the exit of sawdust.
Ok Adam ....come clean...WHY would you make that wood delivery ??????
Rolling it around in the dirt is not good for your blades eventually that's gonna be mud and or snow!
LOL YIP !!!
