Your Legends collecting journey sounds *precisely* like mine. First I was just in it to get Spidey and his main villains, then I was like, "Oh yeah, I'll get the X-men too," then I went in on the Avengers... and FF... and the street level heroes... and gosh, you've gotta have enough villains to balance them out... Slope... too slippery... can't find... foothold!

To say nothing of the other dozen lines and licenses I dip toes into. I'll take it as a win that I've managed to resist falling into the rabbit hole of the big ticket items like Hot Toys, Storm, ONE:12, and all that, though. I danced with that devil years back when I got into designer vinyl for a time... Not a high enough roller to hang with those kinda price tags.
Max Dillon is Electro, not Scorpion. Great display! I'm still trying figure out a way to get Beetle on a flight stand with the stand behind him, but clipping around the front like you did works.

Wow, this is awesome! Let me compare it to my collection of Spidey characters... Oh wait I just started collecting Marvel Legends during House of X wave in February. I am thankful that there are channels out there that show off all the cool figures from 'before my time'.
I have a few of these figures. My Doc Ock Tentacles sadly broke or my dog chewed it, but the Surpieror Octopus Tentacles do fit in the ports but are kinda skinny
I think the retro body works better because when I think retro Spider-Man I think ditko or the 90s animated series where he was more bulky. I think the pizza mold is better for a avengers shelf but that’s just the way I think of it. Amazing video as usual definitely love the retro display since Spider-Man and his foes are always my favorite.
@Jeremiah Ayeni are you sure ditko didn’t make him bulky. Well I don’t mean like overly bulky but definitely not as skinny as skinny as the pizza spider mold. When I say bulky I’m referring to the very first issue with spiderman in amazing fantasy. He wasn’t really swole but he wasn’t skinny like the pizza spider mold when I see the pizza spider mold I think of the ultimate spider man comics. I think the retro body matches the amazing fantasy issue 1 cover way better than the pizza mold that’s just my opinion anyway I prefer my Spider-Man more bulky for classic comics but when his with the avengers I like him younger and more scrawny I’m not actually sure why but that’s the way I think of it
@Jeremiah Ayeni ah yea I can see that. I have my retro with the ditko head. I’d love the black instead of the blue with web wings on the retro body that would be awsome. And I think they could use the biceps from falcon and then add the wings there because I think falcon has the same biceps but with a hole. Just an idea.I love the ditko head more than the other head with retro Spider-Man. I think the non ditko head works really well in the Spider-Man ps4 body

I'm just hoping we get a new retro hobgoblin. His last marvel legends from years ago is rare and expensive now, so a lot of collectors are missing him in their collection. Seriously, hobgoblin is in dire need of a new figure

What i like to do is put the hammer head that came with chameleon on the jj body or the Charles Xavier body and what about tombstone or hydro man hobby the symbiotes?
I'm 90% sure that the 70s and 80s Spidey display is already planned out, since he didn't put Retro Spidey instead of Pizza Spidey and because MJ doesn't exist here. Some other bets for the next one of these include 60s-80s X-Men since there isn't any home rn for the 2 Phoenixes, classic Cyclops, brown Wolverine, etc. Another bet is a general villains display with the biggest ones like Doctor Doom, Thanos, Loki, Magneto, Red Skull, Dormammu, Kang, Juggernaut, etc. Alternatively, it could be a just X-Villains display with Magneto, Juggernaut, Mystique, Apocalypse, Mister Sinister, Pyro, Sabretooth, the Hellfire Club if you eventually give into that (wouldn't be surprised if you did with all that sold figure money, you Winter Soldier and Iron Fist killing man), etc. IDK, maybe an F4 display with heroes AND villains to get the shelf full.

That sounds like you have the basis of the great collection. Asnew figures come out you will always be able to find older ones cheaper as time goes by. It's all about patience.

I don't have Chameleon, JJJ, and the Peter Parker with the half head. But I have other Spider-Man villains and allies. I also put Gwen Stacy, Mary Jane, and Peter Parker in SHIELD. Gwen and MJ as SHIELD technicians and the Peter as Richard Baker a SHIELD scientist. And currently using Tony Stark as MI-6 Agent David 003 aka the Wanderer! Bitten by altered Wandering Spiders he has Spider strength, speed, and agility, Spidey sense not to the level of Spider-Man but ability to see in 8 different light spectrums including infrared and ultraviolet. Also a poisonous touch that can kill or stun. I also team him up with Marvel 616 version of SHIELD Agent Diana Prince. His enemies include Black Widow Tanya Gogol, granddaughter of former KGB Head General Alexis Gogol, frenemy of James Bond. So basically I have turned our David into a Spider Bond. Don't know if I need to head swap or not as Stark also has the beard thing going. It will depend on what other heads I get.
I have like 3 Loki figures coming, try to buy some more, as well as extra Hood figures for Army Builders for my Kingpin. Actually, if I get enough suited figures I will spin them off into a Maggia army led by Madame Masque. Right now I still need a lot of Street Level villains. Another collector told me that Power Rangers Civilian heads will also work with Marvel Legends. I have several heads at the moment, but that would double what I can use.

I told myself i'd only collect mcu avengers then i gave in and bought the tiger stripe wolverine, now i'm obligated to complete the 90's x-men but i set myself to complete the gold and blue team only, but then 80th anniversary came up and I bought iron man and captain america now i'm also obligated to collect the comic avengers team, the only team i've completed is the fantastic 4 and they weren't even on my list to complete, it's just that i got the thing figure on sale and succumbed to another wormhole of endless trap trying to complete a team 😬

I like my figures to have a classic iconic comic booky quality to them, which is why mostly my figures are from between the 60s and the late 80s
