I’d suggest wearing nitrile gloves as acetone absorbs through the skin and is not very good for your body.
Hey, it all looks great and cool when new. Can you please upload video or images after 1,2,3,4... years of being exposed to usage, sun... I would like to now how much did the color fade, if some panels startes to de-attached....
AK Leviathan III I have wondered the same thing. How does it hold up with boat shoes and occassional sand grit?
I believe SeaDek states on their web site that it has an approximate 7 year life expectancy without deterioration. May want to check it out for exact wording.
I wonder how much of a pain it will be to replace when the time comes. All that adhisive got to be a pia to remove
It looks great, and pretty easy to do. I have it throughout my boat. SeaDek was installed at the factory, so it was done right. Now, I've had the boat 2 years, almost to the day. Whole sections are peeling off the swim platform. SeaDek won't replace it because they warrant the product, but not the glue. Not sure how that's much good to me... if it doesnt stay glued down, what difference does it make how long the product lasts?

Thank you for the reminder. Update - the dealer had refused warranty without asking SeaDek. I later talked to them personally and explained the issue. They did not cover labor, but they did send me the pieces at no cost. So, my apologies for not following up sooner. But they did stand behind their product.
I have a 1997 Hurricane that has some type of possibly old snap fittings on the deck. Can I apply the Sea Deck over them or do I have to cut holes around them?

I don't trust the peel on glue Id use a stronger adhesive and cover the edges to waterproof it.

I got seadek for my seadoo spark which is made of mostly plastic (polytec materials) is the acetone safe to use on it ?

Acetone just seems potentially dangerous to the gelcoat.
Hi Hary, you can also use Isopropyl Alcohol (90%) to prep the surface if you aren't comfortable using acetone.
IMO they look cheap and very fake
piece of garbage, it won't last a year
